Cape Cove Reviews

Erin
Had a fantastic week long stay at Cape Cove. The property is very well equipped for 10 people to comfortably live/eat/sleep/relax. Breathtaking views from the house and a real show stopper property. Handy bus stop close by and great local shops/butcher/Chinese takeaway. Binoculars were a nice touch so we could spot birds and prey/wildlife and even Read moreseen a submarine. Would highly recommend Cape Cove and will likely be back. Hide

Apart from weather we had a fantastic stay.would love to go back.
Annie
We absolutely loved staying at Cape Cove. The view from the massive picture window was stunning - during our stay we say dolphins and seals from the window. We sea kayaked and swam straight from the propertys beach, and the hot tub was welcome to return to! Its a well equipped house with lots of space and comfort. Wed go back in a heartbeat.
Mairead
we were a group of 8 with some kids. The property and views were just what we expected. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the games room, hot tub as much as we could. We would agree with previous comments that some minor TLC is required but this did not stop us from enjoying ourselves. Sundowners on the deck, watching the seals and submarines! Tree climbing & zip wiring in Balloch,Inverary & castle, Oban. Trip to opposite side Bay Kilmun & church very interesting & Blairmore coffee shop for lunch
Carol
Excellent, would highly recommend, we will be back!
Wendy
A hard place to beat - a stunning property, breathtaking location, comfort, amenities and not forgetting the amazing wildlife.
Trevor
Lovely cottage in wonderful location, could not fault it
Paul
Spacious property with absolutely stunning views over Loch Long. Deck was great for eating/reading, plentiful seating by the hot tub. If it had been a bit warmer (we were there in May), the fire pit at the end of the garden might have been a great spot to watch the sun go down. Good local amenities (bar/restaurant within walking distance, butcher, 2 general shops, caf, pub within 3 miles). Only quibble would be that wardrobe/cupboard space might have been limited for 8 or more people.
Jon
What an incredible property in an amazing location. The ever changing view kept us all entertained and watching porpoises and gannets as we ate was so special. None of us wanted to leave. Would love to return one day.
Julie
Fantastic property, location breathtaking.Does need money spending on it stayed in downstairs room only one radiator working outside area shabby and dangerous.Massive tiles propped up that needed cementing back on.Only lit fire once due to house stinking of smoke and no draw.Outside shed all paint peeling just looked tired. No excuse with cost of sta ying there.Butchers in Kilgreggan brilliant and they deliver.Entrance tight squeeze in large car.It deserve a little TLC and so do the guest Julie.
Louise
Wonderful time had by all. Views are amazing and beds so comfortable. Everything you need available to you plenty of glasses and plates etc for a large family. Log fire in house heats house up so its nice and cosy and patio area to sit out and watch the stars with a glass of wine. Games room in garden for kids although a wee bit cold in January but games on tv in main bedroom for kids to use so keeps them busy. Sonus music system is great plays in bedroom and living room cant wait to go back!
James
Fantastic relaxing location, let down by tired decor. On check out morning had a roofer on the drive with ladders out. Really could've waited until we left. Building work next door not really an issue. If the house is to be redecorated or refurbished I would definitely rebook. Praise to the caretaker who did try to sort out any problems. Fantastic panoramic view does negate most minor issues.
Diane
The house itself is beautiful. Weve stayed in lots of lovely lodges for our family holidays but the view and the layout are amazing in this house. Everyone loved the hot tub, private beach and the fire pit. We ordered groceries to be delivered but there was also a lovely little shop about a 30 min walk for any basics needed and a very nice cappucci no to takeaway for the walk back. We cant wait to book up again.
Ian
Beautiful location with views to match. The property is well equipped but does need some maintenance in places. But would still recommend to anyone wanting to visit this stunning area
Gina
Needs some money spending on it to take it to the calibre of other similar quality places. Although the views are amazing, this shouldnt be what us relied on to secure bookings. Although it is a wow factor when you walk in, its soon very clear that there are a number of issues that need to be sorted - peeling plaster, doors that dont open, broken b linds and cracked work surfaces. Lots of cobwebs and floors that need cleaning under the furniture.
Janette
Amazing views which were ever changing from this amazing house.
Caroline
Q stunning property with unrivalled views. Unbeatable location
Nicola
We a group of ladies had an amazing weekend at Cape Cove, its defo all about the location. We saw dolphins pass by as well as the seals when we were out on the water. The view from the house is something not sure will ever see anywhere else. House was amazing and recommend the Creggan Inn for food and drinks .. think we may have boosted their takin gs its was truely a weekend to remember ญ ญญญญ
Graeme
Awesome! Gorgeous house, well equipped, great location, spotlessly clean and super comfy beds. And that view perfect place for a weekend away with friends.
Gill
Absolutely fantastic location and the view over the Loch is amazing. Loved the hot tub and the outdoor facilities will be amazing in warmer weather. Bedrooms and not all of similar size, and some with no hanging space. We were 10 adults, so a mixed group would not have any issue with this. Great to discover that the Knockderry Country House is a 5 minute walk. Pamela the caretaker was really helpful and promptly responded to any questions/ problems we had. Would absolutely stay again!
Linda
Absolutely fantastic weekend, property is insane! The views are stunning! Pamela was so helpful with any help we needed. Property has everything you need and more!! Will be back!!!! Thanks Cape Cove!!
Sarah
This house has WOW factor. The views are simply breathtaking. We hired a boat across the Loch, so much fun. Felt like we were on a James Bond film. . So much to do and see. Kids loved kayaking and paddle boarding. Hot tub was a huge hit. One of the best holidays we have been on. The views alone fed my soul. Definitely a bucket list holiday
Ann
