The Annexe Reviews

Gerald
Property in a very good location both for access into Berwick and to the A1 for travelling further afield. Was very warm and welcoming to come back to on dark winter evenings. Furniture in the lounge area was a bit minimal there were just 2 of us, if 4 people were staying seating would be a bit limited and there was no side table or shelving to put our books and maps etc on. An electrical problem during our stay was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again when we come back to the area.

Spent 5 days at the Annexe, Lovely welcome basket, very clean and well equipped with everything you need. In a good location for visiting the local area and further afield. Would definitely recommend.
The Annexe was an excellent place to stay it was comfortable and well equipped. As we were visiting relatives it was ideal for us. The welcome basket was appreciated and a nice touch. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
The Annexe was an amazing holiday home in a great location which was also peaceful and quiet too. The house is so modern and clean with all the facilities you could possibly need during your stay. Its just like home from home and was exactly what we wanted. Relaxing on the lovely comfortable sofa watching the huge tv after a day of walking and exploring was just perfect. The enclosed garden was a lovely safe place for our dog to roam about also. The owners were so helpful and made us feel so welcome and the welcome pack was such a lovely extra touch that was much appreciated. The walk along the river nearby was lovely and so close and an easy walk into town to the walls, parks, pier and beach and a lovely walk along the tops looking out to the sea with the golf course on the other side. I would highly recommend the Annexe for a lovely relaxing break, perfect for families and dogs. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Very little to complain about. Very very comfortable, I would be delighted to stay here again. Absolutely perfect for a couple with two children or two couples. Minor things No wastepaper bins in the bedrooms, no hairdryer and perhaps a small table in the TV room which is really spacious for putting drinks on. Absolutely paranoid about spoiling the furniture!!
Hi we thought the Annex was amazing very clean and was very well equipped it is ... Hi we thought the Annex was amazing very clean and was very well equipped it is in a great location not far from the town or river walks and local pubs The owners were lovely we could not have chosen a better place to stay thank you for the generous welcome pack

We had a fabulous time! The property was beautiful, modern and extremely clean. The enclosed garden was perfect for our little westie, and apologies if she barked a little in her new surroundings. I couldnt fault this holiday cottage in any way. Close to town, parking, a little stroll to the train station and close to the main road without any road noise brilliant for exploring. We popped to Bamburgh, Eyemouth, Lindisfarne, Edinburgh and Alnwick. It was wonderful to wake up in such an airy property to the sound of birdsong! Wed love to visit again.
Wonderful holiday! We were absolutely thrilled with the accommodation. It was light, bright, spacious and immaculately clean. Very good communication from the owners and a lovely welcome pack. Would highly recommend. Lovely part of the world to explore with lots to do in the area. We will be back, thank you

Our stay at The Annex was lovely and the owners thought of everything, even down to leaving some toys for our little girl to play with for our stay and some treats for our dog. Youre super close to the town centre which is great too and not far from Spittal Beach. It was such a lovely stay!

Lovely property. Light and airy, with a view of Cheviot in the distance. Half a mile from the town centre and railway station, and close to a big Morrisons. Although a modern property anyway, the Annex has recently been renovated, with new furniture and furnishings, including all new sanitary wear. Couldn't fault it.

Conundrum Farm - EX5 3AQ
about 1 Mile
With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 28 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
