We had a lovely time in this stunning lodge and had everything that you would ever need. The scenery was stunning and had a lovely relaxing time in the hot tub watching the night sky. Janice & Derek were very helpful in advising places to visit, can't wait to return.

Beautiful tranquil setting with great sea views. Very modern, comfortable and clean with all the amenities you would expect in 5 star accommodation. The access roads were surprisingly good and the sat nav took us straight there. The local pub serves decent food in big portions and is in easy walking distance. However, the pub was closed Monday, TueRead moresday and Wednesday and so we had to stock up from a supermarket about 30 minutes away. For us the remoteness was more plus than negative. Hide

The lodge was spotlessly clean and ideally situated in a quiet and scenic area, perfect for exploring an unfamiliar part of the world to us. We particularly enjoyed the Mull of Galloway, Port Patrick, the Isle of Whithorn and the "hidden gem" of Garlieston. We also strolled down to the Cock Inn for hearty pub food. I remember having several browsers open comparing which lodge would be best. Please don't bother waste your time. This is by far the best decision you can make whn booking your holiday. As a family, we have had the most challenging year of our lives but finding this gem of a place was the welcome break we all needed.
