The Lady Stella Reviews

Douglas
Amazing stay. Owner really helpful. 5 stars. Highly recommended
Teresa
The scenery is spectacular- nice area to sit outside and relax on the sofa and listen to the radio.
Stephanie
location was perfect. Local shops are at least 2/3 miles away if you need any bits. Fridge was perfect size and freezer is small but totally adequate for the stay. The farm is beautiful with lots of lovely walks around and other lovely places all within 30 minute drive. Very peaceful place to be
Bev
Loved the quirky caravan, in particular the veranda. The site is fab, with The Hub offering delicious food & drink. Issues with hot water while we were there & kitchen had odd assortment of equipment with nothing written on cooker; presumably rubbed off with age. Overall we had a fab time but some minor issues.
Norman
If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday Quarry Farm is perfect. The Hub Cafe on site serves great food. The Lady Stella is clean and very comfortable. I went with two dogs but left early because I had not realised there was a six foot drop from the verandah. The fence around it has no chicken wire / netting on it, so one of my dogs tried to jump from under it. We left early. Would love to go back, but only if the verandahs on Quarry Farm are made safe for small dogs. I hope this can be adressed.
Neville
Lovely cottage but mind your head on the doorway between the bedroom and the back door. Recommend the location. We had a super week.
Val
The Lady Stella is a fabulous holiday retreat, the hot tub so relaxing whilst looking at amazing views. So dog friendly and loads to see and do.
Anne-Marie
We loved our stay in Lady Stella. Very quaint, full of character and set in a lovely location. So peaceful and relaxing. The dogs loved their stay too especially the little treats on arrival. The dressing gowns were a lovely gesture for when we used the hot tub
Mandy
Brilliant weeks stay, enjoyed it so much didnt want to go home. Plenty of places to visit our dog had the time of his life. Definitely recommend those with dogs, so many fields to walk your dog. The pub is a 15min walk cut through fields over railway track and your there next to Bodiam Castle as well. John was very quick at fixing our boiler proble m. Will definitely be coming back again very restful week so peaceful. The Hub do wonderful food.
Anne
Very comfortable however the kettle on a gas hob was extremely hot to handle when boiled as was the whistle on the spout. We felt the betting could do with upgrading. The veranda was excellent and very safe for quests with dogs
Simon
Excellent caravan is a beautiful location. Outer dogs loved all the open spaces to walk around. Thoroughly enjoyed our week. Highly recommended. Thank you!
John
Beautiful caravan, beautiful views, lovely and peaceful. Came with friends and our dogs throughly enjoyed themselves like we did. We will return
Gary

Colin
Lovely holiday location with fantastic grounds and views situated on a working farm. Owner John maintains the property and the area around to a maximum standard and I would recommend lady Stella to everyone and Im sure once you arrive like us you would not be disappointed
Cheryl
We had a relaxing few days enjoying some peace & quiet, taking some casual walks & finishing each evening in the hot tub. The accommodation is very well equipped & the grounds are very well kept. The owner is super helpful but possibly a little too relaxed when it comes to dog poop, he said not to bother scooping it up as he would mow it. I would n ot leave my dogs poop & felt quite anxious that people would think that the owners dogs mess was my dog as they seemed to always poop on our grass!
Martin
Both myself and Siobhan really enjoyed the downtime and how clean and tidy it all is. We met John very helpful and easy to chat too. Most days he drove his tractor, it was very peaceful. The Hub fantastic service and food was great The hot tub was needed. We will be coming back again. All the best
Bob
The hot tub wasn't up to temperature at the time of arrival however we made the most of it for the rest of the week The decking was marvellous however the dog escaped a few times from under the railings. Overall we had a beautiful 4 days, and everybody very friendly and welcoming
Nathaniel
Really nice, quiet and romantic. Lovely hot tub with a brilliant view of the fields and castle.
Lee
Had a really lovely few days staying in the Lady Stella, such a quirky idea and the hot tub on the veranda was a real treat. It is exactly what we expected, a good basic caravan, great big shower and really nice to be able to light a fire in the stove on the colder evenings. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from it all. No wifi wh ich was quite nice and loads of great pubs nearby. Also had a wander around the river and the farm, loads of places to walk. Just what we needed.
Laura
