Harris Farm Reviews

Ian
There was ample space in the bedrooms, plenty of space to chill and play. Myself and a few friends stayed here to celebrate my 40th and we did just that. There was so much for us to do, everyone we met was approachable and friendly. We would definitely go back again.
Tracey
We throughly enjoyed our stay. Spacious rooms, comfy beds. The pool although small was well used by my grandchildren. Hot tub, pool table and table tennis gave us hours of fun. Lovely village, good friendly pub, which allowed dogs. Very well placed, lots of places to visit within half hour away. A wonderful holiday.
Patrick
A absolutely fantastic place to stay. I can't begin to explain how much we enjoyed our weeks stay. Great jumping off point to do many activities. Our kids couldn't wait to get back after every outing to play in the pool. Talaton it's self is like another world. Beautiful. We will definitely be returning next year.
Stuart
Just got back from a weeks holiday and what a fab time we had facilities fantastic everything you could want catered for in the cottage fantastic location daily eggs off the farm for breakfast took our autistic grandson with us and he was so comfortable staying in the cottage and being able to use the pool every day the hosts were fantastic if any problems occurred we enjoyed that much we are already booked in for next year definitely a five star holiday for us
Tony
We enjoyed our family holiday in the Farmhouse in such a peaceful setting. Our grandson loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi and adults playing table tennis and pool. Talaton is such a pretty friendly village and we enjoyed the open gardens day. We would definitely return.
Mary
Everyone was very Friendly, the whole area was beautiful and so peaceful and was gutted to leave. Definitely recommend
Richard
What a fantastic week we had at Harris Farm - everything spotlessly clean and nice touches like welcome packs in the kitchen and selection of toiletries in the bathrooms. Facilities were amazing and our 5 year old grandson particularly enjoyed the swing in the garden and the swimming pool and hot tub! We loved our cosy evenings in front of the log fire as did our dog! The local pub was very welcoming with reasonably priced and tasty food. An idyllic family holiday, lots of happy memories made.
claire
We had a lovely stay at the property the proprietors were very welcoming and friendly. There were 4 generations of ages staying and there was something for everyone. The surrounding village was friendly and a great pub with a fantastic menu. We would stay again.
Hannah
Harris Farm is a fantastic place for a family holiday. The games room, hot tub, sauna & swimming pool are a great fun way to spend quality family time together. The owners of Harris Farm are welcoming and friendly. The local pub is in walking distance, it has a friendly atmosphere and serves lovely pub food at affordable prices. The community ran, village shop also has a variety things available. Overall Harris Farm is a fantastic place for a holiday in the countryside.

Bedrooms are very comfortable. Value for money. Owners are on hand and very accomodating. Escot Park Close by. Recommend Clay pigeon shooting there.
Jason
We had a fabulous week at Harris Farm and would highly recommend it to family and friends. We made the most of the games room and pool which made our holiday overall cheaper. We even got to meet some baby calfs! The pub in the village was very friendly with fantastic food and staff and was real value for money. Great location to visit many places i n Devon only a short drive away.
Hannah
We enjoyed the comfortable beds, fire, smart TV and welcome pack. It wasnt as peaceful as we had hoped, as its in the middle of a working farm and attached to a busy family home by interconnecting doors. Almost all the windows are overlooked, the path in front of the lounge windows is a thoroughfare for the adjoining property. The landline listed d oesnt work and you need pound coins to operate the sauna. This would be a great base for a family to explore east Devon but wasn't for us.
Joanne
We went in October and the weather really made it. The cottage is warm and cozy and a log burner for when it got a bit cooler at night. Plenty of things to do inside with sauna, jacuzzi and small swimming pool. Bedrooms are large and the beds are comfy. Well worth a visit.
Kim
Fantastic property and fantastic Hosts too, very welcoming and very helpful. We loved it and it had everything you could need and more, we thoroughly enjoyed it, the added entertainments rooms, pool and hot tub were brilliant (sorry if we were a bit noisy!) Loved the location, very peaceful and we could travel each day to visit different areas, so a great base. Thank you so much
Sarah
An absolutely wonderful stay at Harris Farm. Such a well equipped cottage with so much to do. We stayed in the middle of a heatwave so probably didnt get to use all the amazing facilities to their full extent but there is so much to do for children of all ages (and adults). Also a wonderful garden. Cottage is perfectly positioned so it is lovely an d quiet but 20-30 minutes from so many wonderful places- beaches, National trust, castles, pony centre. Would highly recommend Harris Farm to all

Great location for shops and days out, Swimming pool not big but great for having fun in, had loungers, ball & other things to keep you entertained. Great play rooms with pool table and table tennis, even had radio and tv in. Rooms really good sizes, kitchen small but we did half eat in & half out. Beds comfortable. Wifi really good! Mobile signal bad! Nice to have decent size TVs, especially when watching a film! Pub great food Lovely garden to relax in. Would definitely return again
Karen

TERESA

Lynne
We had a great time at Harris Farm, brilliant place to stay for both children and grown ups.
Jenny
What a beautiful cottage. There are two showers one by the swimming pool, the other by the hot tub. The swimming pool was great to play in, the pool is not big enough to swim in. The pool was lockable after use for extra safety. Hot tub was so relaxing. Bedrooms are spacious. We enjoyed the pool table . There are books, toys and a playhouse for the kids. All is accessible through the house. You would need a car to visit places as set in a quiet village. Owners are friendly would love to return
Sally
We had a lovely stay. All the equipment and facilities a family needs. Great part of the country its quite but still lots to do. Beds and sofas very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
Lucy
Fabulous house with so much to do - pool, hot tub, pool table and table tennis all under one roof! The rooms were all spacious and the beds were comfortable The lounge was sunny in the afternoon and the log burner made it cosy in the evening The kitchen wasn't huge but plenty room enough to cook and equipped with everything that you could possibly need Would highly recommend
matt
I highly recommend this cottage it was perfect for a break with friends the owners have gone to lengths to make it festive, with a beautiful log burner and decorated tree and the property was very comfortable with amazing facilities throughout. Apart from the kitchen, all rooms are a great size. We had a minor issue with the hot tub however that wa s rectified straight away. I would suggest an upstairs shower cubicle would also be an improvement. Great for walks n pub, would stay again.
Sandra
We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation & facilities were excellent. Loved the hot tub, swimming pool & sauna, especially as the weather in November was as cold as expected. The house was lovely & warm & the log burner with an unlimited supply of logs was a real treat. For us it was an ideal romantic getaway. It would be perfect for the famil y too. The family bedroom, has a queen size bed, with a single & cot.
Sam
