Little Honeynook Reviews

Sharon
Really enjoyed our stay at the Little Honeynook, so welcoming, everything was there that we needed and more. Will definitely come back
Little Honeynook was very clean and well appointed with contemporary furniture and having lots of USB charging points. Having stayed in many cottages, we came well armed with all the extras learned from experience we could need. However, had we turned up without these to Little Honeynook it would have come up trumps. It had everything we could need. There was also good communication before our visit, such as a direct number for any queries much appreciated. For us though the major attraction was the location, being so close to Bigbury beach. We also enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast at the dog friendly and welcoming Pickwick Arms, 5 mins walk up the road. We would definitely recommend Little Honeynook, perfect for a couple getaway!
We found Little Honey Nook an absolute delight . From the moment we stepped inside we loved it . There was a wonderful welcome pac of bread , milk scones cream and jam as well as wine which meant we were able to relax , put our feet up and enjoy the beautiful country views .The decor in each room is lovely and well done . It was very well equipped with every thing you could need . There were even fresh flowers on the window sills . The owners Ian and Gill were friendly and welcoming .
Perfect holiday base in every way. Situated in a quiet location with stunning countryside views looking out towards the coast. The annex is well maintained and decorated immaculately and has all you need, a true home from home. The owners have thought of everything, a nice touch was the welcome pack, along with the fresh flowers and bottle of wine. We would definitely recommend this property.
Excellent. Everything that you would find at home. The patiogarden and views were just what you wanted to come back to after being out and about during the day, The hospitality pack and flowers were excellent.
The property exceeded all expectations, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were able to walk from the door and return to relax in the garden. The illumination of the lights in the garden in the evening were a lovely idea and made the whole garden look really special. The very generous welcome pack was an added bonus.
We had a lovely break at little honeynook, the accomodation is spotless and the welcome pack with flowers on arrival are super. Situated in a great location to visit south Devon we would certainly go again.
Thank you Gill and Ian for providing such a lovely holiday retreat.
We had a great time in Little Honeynook. It really was a home from home. The owners have thought of everything, from the lovely fresh decor to a gorgeous cream tea on arrival. We spent most late afternoonsearly evenings in the scrupulously clean hot tub, watching the sun set. Well definitely be booking another trip!

Little Honeynook is absolutely gorgeous, just like the photos. The bed is so comfortable and Ian and Gill have thought of absolutely everything you may need and I do mean everything from beach towels to tupperware so you can take a packed lunch with you on a day out ! The courtyard garden is too cute for words and we loved the hot tub after a long days walking. Highly recommended.
Absolutely delightful cottage. One of the best we have stayed in. Comfy bed. Comfy furniture. Home from home. Garden wonderful with relaxing chairs and hot tub. A lot of effort has gone into ensuring your stay is nothing short of 10 stars. The welcome pack was amazing. Scones, jam and cream. A bottle of wine and a pint of milk in the fridge. If I could give this cottage 10 stars that would still be short of what it deserves.
Sharon
The property was immaculate and had every facility that we needed. Superb location and beautiful views over the field to the sea. The owners were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would have no hesitation in visiting again and would thoroughly recommend the property to anyone visiting the area.

Ian and Gill were excellent owners of the cottage providing a lovely gift pack on arrival and a bottle of bubbly for our Golden Wedding anniversary. Treats were also provided for our dog Teddy. They were very friendly and helpful and were always available if we needed them. The cottage was immaculate and there was everything that we needed for our 2 week stay. Set in a beautiful location, this property was spotlessly clean with many extras supplied. We greatly appreciated the wine, scones and delicious clotted cream, together with touches such as fresh flowers. The patio area was private with views across farmland to the sea. We enjoyed walks in the countryside from the property and discovered scenic coves and woodland. We can definitely recommend this destination.

WOW! Little Honeynook is just the most amazing place to stay from the inside to the outside garden and views. Everything was absolutely immaculate and very comfortable. A kingsize bed with so much storage for your clothes. Touch bedside lights and plenty of USB points. The kitchen is very well fitted out with everything you could possibly need including a really lovely welcome hamper, delicious scones, cream, a bottle of wine and more. The lounge is a great size and decorated in blue hues. A good sized table and chairs and a big TV! All around the property are pictures and lovely ornaments to make it feel like a home from home. The bathroom is also fabulous, big fat soft towels, great shower and bath and even some scales if your worried you may have indulged to much. Lastly the view out of the lounge is absolutely beautiful. Look up when it's dark. On a clear night there were so many stars. It's 5 stars from me, highly recommended.
Samantha
Perfect little cottage flat. They have provided every facility you could possibly need. A lovely warm welcome with basics to have coffeetea and toast and a lovely touch with the scones. Gillian
The host has been extremely helpful, in letting us know what eating places there was nearby by. And had also provided brochures and books about all the places nearby. The host had left us scones and cream, and milk and butter in the fridge and a bottle of wine, The hot tub had been emptied and we where told when it would be at the ideal temperature. There was two bathroom robes, which was a useful touch. There was plenty of hot water, and the heater was on,and was lovely and cosy. Beautiful view of the sea. The hosts have a friendly dog, which puts his head and paws on the fence to great you. Theres a washing machine and a foldaway airer and pegs and laundry basket which was very useful,as we did a load the day before we left. Loads of soft lovely towels. We found the matteress too soft for what we are used to. I mentioned to the host that I could have done with a foot stool, and she said she was going to get one. Its lovely and private, and a lovely space outside with table and chairs, sun loungers and hottub. The host left us a disposable barbecue.. Theres a ironing board and iron, and a air dryer. We couldnt have had a better cottage,or hosts.
Littlehoney Nook, was just perfect very comfortable and homely, The little welcoming touches to the stunning views, so idealic. .
Olivia
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hosts were so accommodating to our reactive dog, responsive if we needed them and provided some wonderful suggestions on quieter places to walk! The property was immaculate and welcoming and the hot tub was Devine! We even had some scones, bread and wine waiting for us on arrival which was lovely to tuck into after a long day of travel! The location is great! About a 40 minute walk from the beach or a 5 minute drive, amenities nearby, lots of dog friendly things to do within 20 minutes ish. Absolutely amazing from start to finish! We will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved our stay, mainly because of all the thought that had gone into making the cottage a truly luxury experience. The welcome basket on arrival was such a lovely gesture, all the little touches like providing washing capsules, toiletries and even bathrobes were unexpected pleasures. We cooked for the duration of our stay, everything you could possibly need in a kitchen was provided. The garden, with its beautiful view down to the sea, was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. The hot tub was just fabulous, we loved being pampered by its bubbles after days out exploring! Everything surpassed our expectations, it was such a delightful place to forget about London for a week and just breathe. We are so thankful to Ian and Gill for going that extra mile in making sure their guests have a wonderful experience, it is without a doubt the best cottage break we have ever had! We will definitely be back for more next year!
Little honey nook was faultless, it was stunning, beautifully cleaned and so welcoming after our long g drive. The little added touches of things left for us just made it even more welcoming. It was the perfect place to get away from everything and enjoy peace and quite. Ian and gill were so helpful giving us information on resturants and places to visit. We will certainly recommend little honey nook and come back. Thank you so much for making our holiday so enjoyable. Leroy and Linda.
We dont know where to start. This was our first ever cottage and living together experience as we live in a joint family and I must say it was one of our best experience. We enjoyed it better then going abroad as we actually were able to relax and feel at home. This little home is amazing and very well equipped, I dont think theres anything lacking. Its a 1110! Thank you for having us we sure to be back again and recommend you guys to friends and family.
Kathleen
What a lovely place to stay! Perfectly fitted out with as many home comforts as you can image I regularly rent properties and tend to take my own 'householdkitchen essentials' but was pleasantly surprised that all items were already available in abundance result! Gill and Ian were extremely pleasant and were on hand if need be there was a little hiccup with the hot tub which Ian rectified straight away. Loved the welcome note along with wine and homemade scones. Definitely worth a revisit thanks Gill and Ian and good luck for the future.
Perfect place to stay. Absolutely Immaculate! Fabulous outside space and great sea views. We will definitely be returning.
I have put that the listing wasn't that accurate only because I wasn't really sure whether or not it was in the middle of nowhere or near other houses shops I am pleased to say that it was in a lovely spot country lane with adjacent propertiesshop nearby. Also, I could not get the internet to work using the details left at the property an easy fix. It was very well equipped and there were lots of nice little touches like the mirrorhot tub.
