Lovely setting and hosts were really welcoming

The pod is a great retreat, beautiful views from your bed across the hills. Though on the owners land and 50m meters from their house,it is completely private, screened all around. Parking is plentiful and few meters from the pod. Hot tub was great, clean and hot. The pod is a large one and has got everything. The only thing we were missing were prRead moreoper wine glasses for the use inside. Didn't fancy using plastic on our nice wine. Really enjoyed a very windy and rainy weekend there. Hide
Natasha

A cosy, comfortable pod with a stunning view of countryside and the moors. The hot tub makes it extra special and the dark night skies are perfect for stargazing ( and astro photography!) Steve was a great host.

Fantastic and relaxing location, the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Hot tube and the views with total privacy is what separates this place from others. Steve the owner is a top bloke, meets you upon arrival shows you around the place and is only a phone call away should you need him. Definitely looking forward to going back again, this is one place to keep in your favourites. Scott & Kay.

The pod is everything you need if you are looking for a staycation with little interruption. Steve was very helpful and we had a lovely three night stay with our dog George who was so chilled as well. The hot tub is exceptional and all you need to take is food and beverages everything else is provided for within the pod. Thank you for a wonderful s tay, highly recommend a visit to The Church House Inn located in Rattery and the Oyster Shack located in Bigbury On Sea both dog friendly.
Elizabeth
Nice cottage.
George
Excellent Holiday in an excellent location. Would definitely recommend!
Daniel
Fantastic little hut to stay in and take your mind off life! Great views across the valley and easy access to local pubs aswell as local super markets via the Devon expressway. We visited in January so the weather could not be relied on but the hut was warm and cosy with the fire going and just what we were looking for in this dreary month of rain and cold! Steve was an amazing host and we will definitely be back in the summer to stay again!
Stephanie
We had a perfect week at the pod! It felt very private, with our own little enclosed area for the dog to run loose. The location is perfect, with Dartmoor views to die for, yet easily accessible from the A38. There are so many moorland, woodland, or coastal walks within a short drive. Our best days were spent walking along the coast, then warming u p in the hot tub in the evening. Steve and Gill were wonderful, friendly hosts. We can't wait to come again!
Sarah
A superb stay and Steve could not have been more helpful. Really cosy pod and plenty of room for two people. The bed was the most comfortable ive ever slept in.
Chloe
Lovely place for our long weekend away with the dog! The host was very welcoming and helpful, and the location was brilliant and easy to find. The accommodation was spotless and despite the rainy weather it was perfect and so cosy with the log burner lit! It was kitted out perfectly for us. I would definitely visit again and would recommend this 10 0 times over!

We loved it. The pod was amazing, views were stunning and night sky watching in the tub is a must do. Steve was always on hand. The black to do guide was great. Local pubs served good food. The Avon inn is a good walk, but it is up hill on the way back! We have recommended to friends
Darren
Cant fault this place, me and my partner had the best time in the Pod and the hosts were amazing also. Everything was explained on arrival and not rushed. Had a little book of recommendations which we found very helpful. Pod was very clean, tidy and so was the hot tub. Will return 100% and already recommended to so many of my friends and family! Th anks again to the hosts for such an amazing stay!
Adrian
This was exactly as described in the advert. It was a quiet relaxing break in a beautiful quiet setting. We did not need for anything and although next to the farm house we were undisturbed and hopefully we did not disturb them. Amazing week would definitely recommend if your looking for some quiet time with your pet away from the hassle and bustle of life
Kirstin
What a week! Couldnt have asked for a better setting and weather for the week and Steve was an amazing host. We took our dog with us and he absolutely loved it and great base to explore the nearby sites. Cannot rate highly enough and would come back in a heartbeat.
Alison
Absolutely loved our stay here the owners had thought of absolutely everything. It was ideal for travelling around Devon and the views were spectacular. He planned on eating out but BBQd nearly every night as we just didnt want to leave - highly recommend the butchers in nearby South Brent
Mark
Great place and fantastic views.
HAYLEY
Brilliant location for 2 adults and a dog. 35 minute walk to the nearest pub down the road and then across the field lovely walk.45 minutes back up the hill. Fantastic views, lovely pod with everything you need. The hosts were perfect, available when needed, provided fresh eggs on request and helped with any queries when asked. The pod and hot tub were exceptionally private and the area is very quiet. We definitely want to return in the future.
S Burgess
I have stayed at around 60 holiday cottages in England, Wales, Scotland, France, and Netherlands in the last 20 or so years. I generally dont return because I feel Ive done the area. This is an exception. I will certainly come back to the Pod again sometime; the area is lovely with loads to do within a half hour drive, but I will return mostly beca use of the hosts and the Pod.
Chloe
This was the best holiday I have been on! The pod was so beautiful and clean! It had everything you needed and the hot tub was amazing! This place is very secure and is a perfect place for animal lovers like me! There are two friendly cats that came to visit us and there are lots of other farm animals you can see! The owners Steve and Gill are both really nice and very welcoming. I would 1000% go back and total recommend this place to anyone!
Joshua
Excellent pod in an excellent location. Easy to get to many places and feels like your in the middle of no where. Great contained compound for dogs also. Owner is very friendly and an all round nice guy who is extreamly knowledgable.
Connie
I would highly recommend a stay at the pod and we will definitely want to be visiting again. The hot tub was amazing, even in the days after Storm Eunice. The area enclosed for dogs is quite large so great for them to have good sniff around. Steve is really helpful and has obviously put a great amount of care into the property. Such a cosy place to escape to.
Natasha
Absolutely perfect for a romantic / relaxing getaway for two. High spec accommodation, friendly host plus lots of space and privacy .
Lauren
We have just returned from the most perfect stay at The Pod! Everything was fantastic and I have nothing to fault. It was the first time we had taken our Beagle Tez on a break so we were slightly nervous but The Pod was great for him, it was so secure he could explore all day which was great whilst we enjoyed an afternoon in the hot tub! We cant wa it to return
Nichola
We jave just returned home after a long weekend in the pod and it was amazing! The location is beautiful, the pod was clean and stocked with absolutely everything you would need. We would recommend to anyone we know and would definitely return.
Michael

simon
Unbelievable trip reallly refreshing and very nice people who welcome you. Would recommend to anyone
Liz
Had a fabulous 4 night stay in the POD. Location and views were fantastic, very relaxing. The POD itself was well equipped, and very comfortable. The log burner was an added bonus on the cold January nights. Star gazing from the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Steve (the owner) was always on hand if needed and was very informative of the best pl aces to eat in the area and where to go. Highly recommended.
David
We had the most relaxing time, just what we needed. 3 nights, visiting Torbay and a fantastic walk to Avon dam (3 miles up the road). The pod is well equipped with quality fittings and kitchen utensils and the bed and bedding was delightful. Lovely shower and bathroom (no bath) which didn't bother us. Our dog just loved the enclosure around the pod which again, is really well buit and secure. We would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back. Cozy +. Lovely owners too.
Amanda
A lovely place to stay. Extremely well appointed and comfortable, lovely bathroom, bedroom area, lovely views. The hot tub is the icing on the cake. And the little white cat is the cherry on the icing on the cake. The black one too, but you won't see so much of her as she is much more shy.
