Lynwood Lodge Ocean View Reviews

Andrew
A lovely apartment, which despite the great view is also quite private. It's in a good location, just a few miles from Weymouth - a good base for touring Dorset (Ringstead Bay is very close by, my dog loved running along the beach) & Lulworth Cove/Durdle Door is also not far away. The owners were very helpful, with some useful tips about the area. Read moreHugo (dog) & I very much enjoyed our break! Hide

Absolutely amazing Villa. Hayley and Dave were very welcoming and left us a bottle of wine and some chocolates as a welcome gift. The villa is very well equipped, the bed is super comfortable and the hot tub is fantastic after a long day out. Unlike some other people we didnt find the traffic an issue and even slept with a window open. We will defiRead morenitely be booking again. Hide

Carol
Really lovely property, very comfortable, gorgeous views. Owners very helpful and we had a lovely welcome from Hayley.
Martin
Very nice apartment, all top notch furnishings, equipment and decor with good attention to detail. Nice view from the balcony across the countryside and out to sea, our dog loved keeping his eyes on things from here. The road is busy a quite noisy but did not effect us at night with most of the windows shut. Would highly recommend.
Alan
Good location Well equipped Very helpful owners Very enjoyable stay
Tracy
A lovely place to stay, very clean and tidy. The gardens are beautiful and offered a lovely little walk, which our dog really enjoyed. Amazing views too. Thank you to Halyley and & Dave for the wine and chocolates and lovely stay
Gemma
We had an amazing weeks stay at the Ocean View apartment. Couldn't fault it. Beautiful view from the balcony. Very well equipped apartment. Jacuzzi very clean and well looked after. Perfect base for dog walks on the coast and only 10 min drive from Weymouth beach and harbour. Enclosed small garden perfect for our 7 month puppy. Nice grounds and gar den. There is a fast moving road but it didn't bother us. Would highly recommend. Gem, Jon, Barney
Gillian
Great accommodation, comfortable & clean. Only downside is the very noisy main road which ment it was impossible to use the balcony or leave the bifold doors open.
Michelle
The property is just lovely. We loved the hot tub, and the apartment itself is decorated and equipped to a very high standard. As previous comments, the main road is noisy and means a lack of privacy when on the balcony, but that's outweighed by the privacy of the enclosed garden and hot tub. Due to the lack of footpaths, it was a bit treacherous a t times walking our dog, but so accessible to drive to so many places like Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door, Bridport and Weymouth. Loved our holiday!
Bethany
Being quite close the the road meant there was a lot of noise but there is not much you could do about it. The bed was so comfortable and its a great location to stay with loads of places to visit that are dog friendly with in a 30 minute drive.
David
Had a great two week holiday. Great welcome and reception from the hosts. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Brilliant view from the lounge and terrace and a fantastic hot tub. Easy access to all major centres including Weymouth and Dorchester. Would thoroughly recommend. Dave and Christine Baker
Tony
Arrived earlier than advertised but was welcomed with a smile, that set the tone for a splendid 4 day break, welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolate, perfect. So pleased, booked again.
Clive
We would recommend this property as it has all the amenities that you need for a week away. Only thing we would say that might not be good for tall people as the ceilings are sloped. Also near a main road but the traffic noise can not be heard when the doors and windows are closed.
Alan
The cottage was a very clean, warm, cosy place, with everything you need for a few days away. The view from the balcony is beautiful and the hot tub below is very private and welcoming
Abigail
Lovely place to stay, would stay again and also would recommend it to others.
Joanne
We had a lovely stay very well equipped and comfortable. Very clean. Friendly hosts. The wine and chocolate was a nice touch. Quiet location considering its on the main road.
Jacqueline
The Cottage was stunning & done to a very high standard throughout. The sofa is positioned in front of the double doors to take in the amazing view & is really cosy. Nice TV with with Netflix & Amazon Prime. The only downside was the Internet - a little Hit & Miss. The kitchen appliances were of a high standard. Nice shower in the bathroom. The Kin gside bed was really comfy. Wine & chocolate on arrival, which was a lovely thought. Hayley was very welcoming & personable. Would love to come back.
Nathan
We thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed staying here. It was spotless when we arrived, had everything we needed eg. Towels, bedding, cutlery/cookery. Lounge area was spacious with a good sized TV for the room. All appliances were modem and looked brand new. The hot tub was fantastic, warm and clean. It had a little chlorine dispenser in which was good to kno w. The garden was fully enclosed which was good for our puppy. Its situated on a main road so a little noise at night but still fantastic
Kay-c
Absolutely lovely stay exactly what we wanted and more ! The wine and chocolate was so nice to come in too, beach close by, amazing views from balcony made it the most relaxing weekend for our anniversary. Dog was very comfortable and enjoyed the stay. Owners very welcoming, would definitely love to come back.
Andrew
Very nice place. Hosts very welcoming. Wine and choc on arrival which was nice Nice and quiet at nite. Stargazing from private hot tub was loverly way to end day from some long hikes. Good location. Well equipped apartment. Definitely visit again Highly recommended
Sarah
The apartment is lovely with a fantastic view from the living room of the rolling hills and the sea in the distance. The chocolate and wine on arrival was a lovely surprise. The decor is modern and very clean with great facilities for cooking. There are puzzles and books to keep you entertained on a rainy day and of course a couple of lovely old pu bs nearby. The hot tub was great! The bedroom was quite warm at night so we opened the window which was a little noisy from the road.
Natasha
The Ocean View holiday cottage was absolutely stunning, Inside and out. The hosts were attentive and answered any questions we had. The hot tub was amazing and not over looked. We had the perfect relaxing stay in an immaculately clean and beautifully presented home away from home. Highly recommend!
Crystal
I cannot recommend this cottage enough. We had a very relaxing stay, the location is incredible. The owners are very thoughtful and the little touches mean a lot. Ive stayed in a lot of holiday cottages and this was the best by a mile.
Ella
Can't recommend this beautiful place enough! My husband and I had the most fantastic stay with our German Shepherd, and we can't wait to return! Beautiful scenery overlooking the hills and sea - we even managed to watch some deer in the fields while the sun was rising. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and is so well planned out, it has everyth ing you could possibly need. The bed! We just wanted to take it home, it was so comfy! The hot tub was a much welcomed treat after a day of walking!
Frances
A lot of road noise lounge is right on main road
Zena
We had a lovely break here. The apartment was everything we were looking for. Clean, comfortable, well equipped with a wonderful view across the fields to the sea in the distance. We were very cosy as it was also end of season. One of the best stays weve had and would recommend.
Antonia
Just home from a lovely week here, a well equipped, clean, sleek property in a great location for the Dorset coastline. Hayley and Dave are great and make you feel very welcome. The hot tub was very welcome after our long walks. Ocean view was comfy with good quality fixtures and fittings, yes on a busy road but if you come knowing that then it is a fantastic holiday home.thank you
Nicholas
Property very professionally converted and well kept / clean. Ideal setup and great they welcome pets.
Karen
We had the most amazing time at Ocean View. This property is immaculate and is one of the cleanest properties we've stayed in. We will definitely be back. The hot tub is amazing and is checked regularly for any chemical top ups. The chocolate and wine on arrival was a really nice touch. Can't say enough good things about this little gem. Until next year.
Amanda
Just had a lovely 4 days in Ocean view lodge it was all what we wanted the owners Hayley and Dave was always on hand if you needed them and the hot tub was amazing too just what you needed after many long walk's
Callum
Great dog friendly cottage. Good location on main road so handy for local travel & days out but soundproofing is also very good so slept very well. Secure parking. We stayed in the spacious Ocean View apartment which was great with our whippet but may not be suitable for larger dogs as there is a spiral staircase to access the garden, we had to car ry our dog down which wasnt a problem for us. Any other apartment on the site could be better suited for larger dogs if not good on these stairs.
Sally Ann
What a great holiday home. Simply perfect in everyway.
Barbara
A beautifully clean and well equipped cottage with everything you need with very modern appliances. The owners are very welcoming and helpful and the welcome gift was well appreciated. The only drawback was the noise from the traffic if you sat outside. As the windows are double glazed this is not a problem if sat inside.
Mark
Really nice place clean tidy and has good home from home comforts. You can sit on the balcony and look across the fields to the sea. But as this is on a very busy road so not quite. The hot tub is situated bellow the balcony in a small enclosed garden this is not overlooked. The nearest pub is 1.2 miles away , you could walk it but not easy due to road. This pub does get very busy not much seating inside but plenty outside, some under a big marquee. Food is quite limited though.
Diana
The accommodation was excellent. Larger than we assumed from photos. Furniture, equipment etc looked brand new. Hosts were friendly and professional. Definitely stay here again.
Chris
Excellent accommodation very clean and very well appointed and in a good location for exploring the Dorset coast.
George
Wonderful location, stunning views, lovely people who own the property. Ideally located near Weymouth centre and beach, highly recommend for couples looking for a relaxing break away.
Michael
BRILLIANT!!! BEAUTIFUL LOVED MY HOLIDAY COTTAGE will be going again next year
Alan
The best self-catering accommodation we've ever stayed at - with balcony overlooking fields + distant view of sea and passing ships - down external spiral stair to hot tub sheltered by balcony. Recently built with excellent equipment and facilities. There are 4 separate apartments on the hillside site. Owners, Hayley and Dave also live in bungalow on site and are very helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Ocean View is nearest to the road but balcony glass doors shut out most of the noise.
