Suffolk Reviews

Lovely position and outlook, watching the rabbits and the sheep every morning and evening was delightful. Some traffic noise but we soon got used to it. The bed wasnt the most comfiest but didnt spoil our stay. The hot tub was a very welcome end to the day. Definitely recommend a visit in to Axbridge and to sample the coffee shop for the cream tea and Ridleys for the most amazing bacon and sausage bap. The New Inn in Cross, just a five minute walk, does lovely meals. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Had to leave early sadly but it was beautiful very relaxing exactly what we needed even just for a night. Super clean and owner very friendly and helpful will be booking again!
Isabel
Me, my friend and my dog stayed here for 3 nights. They were the most relaxing evenings and the pod is surrounded with lovely walks and a small community village close by. During the days we adventured and in the nights we took advantage of the services and cooked small meals and a few drinks around the hottub and fire. The place was lovely with views and animals surrounding. Would definitely go back. Thank your.
Hayley
We had a lovely comfortable stay in Suffolk. The location was beautiful and peaceful, and convenient for lots of nearby attractions and walks. The hot tub and fire pit were an added bonus and felt like a special treat. Great for couples. Thank you.
Lovely week in this great well equip and comfortable pod. Beautiful setting and very relaxing. The owner and his family were really friendly. The hot tub was a great added extra. Within walking distance of two pubs. A short drive to the beautiful Chedder gorge for lovely walks, and literally on the doorstep of the strawberry line. We really enjoyed our stay as did the dog he loved watching the rabbits in the field in front of us as we bbqd. Will definitely return. Five stars
Had a brilliant stay here with our dog over the Coronation Bank Holiday weekend. The location is absolutely spot on and is close to Cheddar, Axbridge and Weston Super Mare whilst still feeling rural. Also across the farm field has easy access to the Strawberry Line which is a great walk or cycle ride. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown all around the lodge which was extremely comfortable and comes with everything you need including heater, digital TV and a small kitchen with everything you would need to cook a small meal. The hot tub also has amazing views of the farm and the scenery and only added to the experience. Will definitely be returning.
Absolutely brilliant stay, was perfect in every way. Has everything you need, the area is ideal for walks and travel to local areas like cheddar, well and Glastonbury. Thank you very much! Will definitely be booking again!

We had a great stay at Suffolk. The host welcomed us upon arrival and we had everything we needed in the pod. Bed was very comfortable & kitchen is equipped with all the essentials. The hot tub was of course, excellent! We would be happy to return in the future. Thank you.
Suzanne
Lovely place. Great base to explore from and lots of restaurants nearby in Cheddar. Everything you need for a short stay Steve very helpful explaining how to use hot tub, hob and combi microwave. Washing up liquid, sponge and teatowel included as well as tea and coffee and a couple of milk pods. Loved the pod and the hot tub. The only downside I can think of was that there was no space for wardrobe so everything stayed in suitcase. Would wholeheartedly recommend it.
The pod has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is in a good location. It offers beautiful views and plenty to do nearby. Steve is very welcoming and is a wonderful host, he met us upon arrival to show us the pod and how to use the hot tub which was amazing! We were looking for somewhere to unwind with our Labrador for a few nights and Suffolk didn't disappoint. There's a nice little pub a 5 minute walk away and perfect dog walks right on the doorstep. We'll definitely look to return in the not so distant future! Thanks again Steve, we had a lovely stay Lewis, Carla and Alfie
Met shortly after arrival by the very pleasant owner, who ensured we had everything we needed, showed us the facilities including the great hot tub. Overall we had a really wonderful stay, even with the weather against us we managed to get out and about and returned to relax in the peacful surroundings in the hot tub. Thanks A and K O'Connor
Nicholas
Many thanks to the owner Steve for the most relaxing holiday in a long time. The Suffolk pod was perfect as was the location. Stunning countryside views with beautiful walks close by. The facilities were spotless and a credit to the owners who were lovely. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset in the evening from the hot tub which was perfect. Cross itself is a lovely place with friendly people. Axbridge is a beautiful village with a great pub and only a short walk from cross. Once again many thanks and we will definitely be back in the not to distant future.
Steven
Bed sheets I personally found a bit scratchy, but everything else was perfect.

Excellent accommodation with everything you need to make your stay perfect. The hosts are super friendly and take the time to go through the Pod facilities, including the fantastic hot tub. The local pub is on your doorstep and we had a scrumptious Sunday roast. We will definitely return here at some point. All round it was an enjoyable three night stay over a BH weekend and great value.
Andrea
The accommodation was so nice, with stunning views and really well situated. Had everything you need. Steve and his family were so lovely and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!!!
Great location which ticked all the boxes for what we wanted to do. Easy access to the strawberry line for our bike rides, Cheddar Gorge for the walks and Wookey Hole for the guided tour of the caves. The views across Somerset from the Pod were stunning. All in all a very nice break and pet friendly too.
Kathryn
We had a very peaceful break. The hot tub experience was superb, the surroundings of the farm was fab, even the sheep came to say hello. Peace and tranquility throughout. The owners very friendly and helpful, candles and torches immediately brought to the pod when there was a power cut due to the storms during the week. Would recommend to anyone. Really good break.
The holiday cabin is a bit misleading in the advert. First of all Syke Cottages didnt make it very clear that I actually paid for 2 nights and we only stayed 1 and after contacting them I found they were very unhelpful and werent interested in the slightest in some sort of refundcompensation. The cabin is situated on a hill directly next to another cabin with the owners right next to you. We felt as though you feel your being watched all the time. In terms of facilities the hot tub was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. I was very disappointed with the heating not working as its the only source of heating in the cabin. We were told to use a 15 plug in heater in the cabin which really isnt good enough for the money we paid. The bathroom is absolutely freezing cold too with nowhere to actually dry your towels etc.
Candice
We had a lovely weeks stay at Suffolk, Steve is a great host and couldnt help us more. The hot tub is an amazing extra! Great location and perfect surroundings. Ill definitely be booking again and recommending to my friends and family.
Mihail Cristian
