Big Azzles Reviews

We had a wonderful time, the place was amazing my only criticism was that the hot tub had no shelter we was open to the ailments, as it rained quite heavily at times. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
I booked this for a honeymoon gift for my daughter and her new husband. They said the accommodation was absolutely amazing and very spacious with everything that they needed and more. The garden and outside space and hot tub are fantastic and made their honeymoon more special. Theres many amenities within walking distance including the beach in which the dogs loved to run and play making special memories in regards to their wedding and first few days of them being newly wed.
We were disgusted to see dog faeces on the lawn when we arrived. We have young grandchildren and it was only that I spotted it which prevented them from walking in it. The lawn looked like it hadnt been mowed for weeks. The cushions on the sunbeds had not been put away during the rain before we arrived so they were impossible to use during our stay. I would say cleanliness in the whole house was not as good as it should have been
Great house in a great location. The hosts were really helpful
The property is in a great location. Ideal for places to eat, shops and pubs. The beach is around a 15min walk, however there is quite a hill. The property was as advertised but could do with the finishing touches being applied. For example the canopy missing on the gazebo, marks on paint workfloor and up keep of some furniture. The property was clean, but again attention to detail required in areas. In all we had a great week in the property.
We've sadly left your beautiful holiday home it's bin amazing what a great house you have . In all the years we've bin coming it's bin the best one by far ,we've now found our new go to place in Anglesey ,thanks take care
This is a lovely property in a great location for walks beach and travel around Anglesey. The facilities are outstanding. Would definitely recommend this property for everything including value for money.
A lovely welcoming cottage with everything you could wish for, we will certainly come back
Carmel
Returned to this property after a visit last year. Love this cottage. It had everything we needed and in a superb location.
Rachel
Lovely place to stay in a great location, walking distance to the beach. The hot tub was lovely although after 4 days it started to smell and the water became merky as no one had been to maintain it. Which resulted in my husband having to empty it via buckets and refill it. Kitchen well equipped, plenty of board games for those rainy days. TVs in every room. Washing machine very handy although dryer didn't seem to work.
Lesley
Had a lovely week. The property was very comfortable, in a great location.
Lovely accommodation, well situated in the lovely village of Benllech. Our party of 6 really enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended.

We were very worried as previous reviews we not great however, Big Azzles is a lovely property, with everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home and make our stay special. On arrival we had been left a lovely welcome gift and milk, tea and coffee which was really appreciated. there is plenty of outside furniture, mirrors and lamps so really don't know what the previous reviewers are about?? downstairs shower is really convenient for kids getting back from the beach and before & after going in hot tub.the hot tub was great with mood lighting which was lovely in the evenings and easy to control. Tv's in all bedrooms and plenty of wardrobe, draw space in each room with a sea view from one of the bedrooms kitchen area was lovely and well equiped again with TV. Utility has a washerdryer, iron & hoover . lounge had dining table, coffee table, sofa and reclining chair, tv we took our Alexia for music which was easily connected to the wifi. We had a wonderful holiday and would like to thank the owner and cleaners for a comfortable stay we will return!!!! Nock Family
We loved Big Azzles. We have been going to benllech for 15 years and love the area including red wharf bay. Perfect location only 15 mins walk to benllech beach and 5 mins to the local shop and pub. We parked 2 cars easily outside, and the other 2 houses had 2 cars each too and we found there enough space. The beds were comfy, we slept really well. We extended our stay by 1 night we loved it that much. The hot tub was fab, and we had a little sea view from the garden, as well as a sea view from the back bedroom. Kitchen well equipped and was lovely to have a bottle left on arrival for us and some milk on the fridge. Everything you need for a relaxing stay in benllech. Cant wait to go back!
Outside furniture not up to standard. Grass would really be better if upgraded to artificial.
Great location . House a bit scruffy round the edges. Smoky oven that needs cleaning
On first look wonderful property but there is a lot of work that need to be done ... On first look wonderful property but there is a lot of work that need to be done a big crack in the wall back bedroom that faces the garden crack in the family bathroom floor needs some TLC also on our stay the bed broke and we had to fix this ourselves
Louise
WOW What a fantastic property, it has everything you need and more with the added bonus of a hot tub. The owner has clearly rectified all the past negative remarks. The beach is only a short walk down the road which is also fantastic for dog walkers and our 2 dogs loved having a run on it. There are lovely places to go and eat close by which we recommend as well. We will definitely be going back as its one the best holiday cottages we have been to and will recommend it to our family and friends.
Nicola
We had a fantastic week over new year at this lovely property in a fantastic location with everything you needed on your doorstep. Real home from home feel it meet all of our needs and more with the hot tub, log fire, comfortable beds and modern style we had everything we needed. I was worried given previous feedback but majority of the previous comments have been addressed and we had no complaints at all. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and hope to return soon
Brilliant stay at this lovely house. Kitchen well equipped contrary to other reviews, comfy beds, with nice bedding. Hot tub an added bonus. Lovely touch by the owner of having Christmas presents left for each of our group under the Christmas tree. House within easy walking distance of local shops, pub, restaurants and takeaways. Just a bit further down a hill is the lovely Benllech bay. Highly recommended will be definitely returning for another short break.
Louise
The house was really nicely located. All the amenities stated were there. Main feedback is that the house wasnt finished to a great standard, considering the price. And also, the times we could get in and had to leave were a little imposing on the holiday. Not before 5pm and leave by 9am that cuts up the holiday time considerably, in my opinion.
Mirrors too much furniture in twin bedroom only required large dresser Workmanship the house looked as if completed in a rush poor workmanship in all bathrooms bathroom door handle on arrival hanging off door fear of shutting door completely to be locked in! ! if you want a bath you may need a good 30 minutes to get it filled up Kitchen Appliances not enough plates for 6 people not enough of the same glasses for 6 people only 2 wine glasses not enough cutlery for 6 people no table mats no tea pot wooden utensils well past their best none of the kitchen ware matched very small dustbin in kitchen Difficult to cook up a storm with lack of appliancesutensils A woeful lack of home comforts provided for a self catering stay. Some of the above points have already been highlighted in previous reviews on Sykes website. Arrival and departure times for extra cleaning not sure where as the house felt grubby and unclean Ending on positives Hot tub was enjoyed by all Benllech has a beautiful beach great for a walk with your dog heads up long hill walk back home
Michael
This was the most disappointing rental we have had through Sykes, there are significant shortcomings and misrepresentations as regards the facilities and features of this property. The pictures of the lounge show a range of comfortable seating, two couches and an armchair, this is still showing in the current advert for the property, this is not the case, there is only one corner unit that is not suitable for the number of occupants advertised. There were five in our party and in order to sit in the evening we had to bring in furniture from the garden which was far from comfortable. There is a dining table but only four chairs ! No placemats so you have to put a hot plate on to the wooden table or use a magazine to protect the surface. The master bedroom has no bedside table or bedside lighting meaning you cannot read in bed or have a drink by the bed, not acceptable ! Anything electrical such as phone charger has to go on the floor, My wife and I both wear glasses these too had to go on the floor or on the dresser at the foot of the bed which is not acceptable when you need to get up in the night. The ensuite loo is so far into the slope of the roof it is impossible for any man of average height to use this standing up. If more than one shower is in use then the pressure is too low and the water comes out in a trickle. The kitchen is woefully under resourced, the absolute bare minimum of utensils, no serving spoons, not even a fish slice to get your eggs out of the frying pan, a potato masher would have been handy. No coffee maker or even a cafetiere also no tea pot which means every hot drink has to be made in a mug and as there are only six mugs you have to wash up after every brew. washing up is a constant feature as there are so few knives forks and spoons ! No jugs, no roasting dish, if you like to cook which many people do when on holiday, bring your own equipment! The TV in the kitchen is broken, not that we would have watched it as half the seating has its back to it. No welcome pack of information and this is the first Sykes property we have booked that had no welcome basket, not even a bottle of milk! It would have been nice to know as we brought our dog, that the beach which is a ten minute walk down hill but a mountain climb back up is not dog friendly in peak times ! The beach is very tidal and most afternoons all of the local beaches are underwater, again would have been good to know. It should be pointed out that the walk back from the beach is up a steep hill and may not be suitable for all. We paid around 1500 for this week and expected so much more for the price. This was our main holiday and we thought we had splashed out on a bit of luxury we were so so wrong !
Andrew
Excellent location, accommodation was very good, comfy beds, hot tub, enclosed ... Excellent location, accommodation was very good, comfy beds, hot tub, enclosed garden for dogs 10 mins walk to beach,5 mins walk to ChipShop, Pub, Chinese, Indian, Tesco, Cafes all really good and recommended Weather was excellent too generally is when we come to Anglesey Visited Red Wharf Beach, Moelfre, Penmon, Newborough Beach, Famous Train Station, Pentraeth, Beaumaris,Rhosneiger, Holyhead, Treaddur Bay and would recommend all of them
The holiday home had the feel of somewhere that had been cobbled together with a view to getting it ready ASAP to rent out to the general public. Key areas of disappointment were low water pressure mean only one shower at once could be used. only 2 sunbeds and 1 outdoor chair for a house of 6 people the beds were unsupportive soft and small. general unfinishedsloppy workmanship on the majority of the fixtures and fittings. Electric car charging point had failed to be registered with the manufacturer and so couldn't be used. That said, the host was very friendly and nice to talk to.
The house was clean and tidy. It had all the moden things. A welcome book with instructions would have been useful. The houses are all close together so not much car space. It was quite and peaceful. Owner helpful. Internet net and signal was not good but as we had lovely weather it didn't matter. Locally take aways were all open and the beach is beautiful.
The house was exactly as the advert had described it. It was comfortable and stylish and met all of our needs. The garden was lovely and spacious and the hot tub a treat.
