Glan Gors Reviews

Stunning cottage. Very helpful and caring hosts.
Wonderful property with everything we needed. Beaitful scenery and a great base for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales. Owners were responsive when we had any questions. We'll be returning.
Stuart
This place was all we hoped it would be and more. Fantastic location. So peaceful and comfortable. There were treats on arrival which was a lovely touch. Such a treat to look out over the fields and hills whilst in the hot tub! Very relaxing.
Stunning cottage in an absolutely beautiful area with views to die for. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with a cold bottle of prosecco awaiting us in the fridge. Lovely dining table for meals and plenty of seating for chatting, watching TV or just snuggling with a good book. Bedrooms were beautifully clean, beautifully furnished and snug with bath robes ready for the hot tub. The only issues we had were the drive up to the property along the track. It was very off road so make sure you don't travel in a vehicle with a low suspension and the hot tub lid was broke so manouvreing it off and on was a little tricky. However, I would recommend this cottage in a heartbeat and would definitely return. We had a superb short break and arrived back home feeling refreshed and rested. Absolutely lovely!

We have just had the perfect weeks break away with another family of 3 at Glan Gors. Our boys are both 8 and loved the freedom and space to just be boys! It was a welcome break from the usual workfamily life stress as its so far away from anything else it truely is a getaway. We had some lovely days out Snowdon, Llandudno & Denbigh castle but also a few lazy days at the cottage making use of the BBQ, fire pit & hot tub. The sheep were a constant source of entertainment and conversation. The host was quick to respond to queries and very helpful. Thank you, I may have just fallen in love with Wales

Honestly this is what everyone needs in this day & age, the tranquility and the peace & quiet is unrivalled. We had a couple of days out to the Mountain Zoo & Llandudno which was lovely but made it even sweeter to return to this paradise. Our 2 year old absolutely loved the freedom, slide & riding her bike around the garden. Great choice for families as well as adults wishing to relax. We will be back! Thanks so much.

Fabulous location, beautiful property. Welcoming host.
Wonderful stay, beautiful location, views and hot tub! Loved the conservatory to sit and look out. The cottage just needed some maintenance with some ware and tear showing but otherwise great break.
Had a lovely stay with spectacular views, comfortable accommodation plus the bonus of a hot tub. We visited the local tweed mill shopping outlet, waterfalls and reservoir, all which had superb cafes. The shop has some great bargains, waterfalls were stunning and reservoir had a fab 1hour walk. We visited Llandudno and Conwy Bay too. BetwsYCoed is ok if you like a short amble round some shops and a station. At the back of the station is an interesting churchyard and little church, then at the back of that a stunning view of the river and beautiful scenery all around. Back at the cottage, it was fun walking the length of the driveway and back from the cottage, as its quite high up, so the scenery is beautiful. Once we got to grips with the hot tub and managed to turn it up from a cool 36 degrees, it was lovely to sit and admire the views, even though the weather was windy and cool. Sheep and lambs fed and played on the hills around and we saw buzzards from the track too. The driveway is stony but as long as you drive real slow its very doable. Local Morrisons and Aldi are 6 miles away. Some of the kitchen appliances need a bit of an update but are still functional and didnt distract from the enjoyment of the holiday. Bedrooms are spacious and have plenty of storage. The property is clean and the owner really polite and helpful. The cottage is alone on a hill, so theres plenty of privacy all around it. This makes for a nice holiday, especially suited for families who like to make their own entertainment. I appreciated there being no television except for a DVDTV player to watch films as it felt like a real holiday without one. WiFi is available and very reliable, so if you like tv its easily got through that. I would defo recommend this cottage.

Absolutely fantastic cottage. The facilities were superb. It had everything you would want and more. Very clean and tidy. The views are to die for. The hot tub was great as was the log fire. The owner was very friendly and always on hand to offer help if needed. Will definitely be going again. George and Caroline

Amazing comfortable home with spectacular views, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Only downside is the road to the property, brilliant instructions and found easily but very rough track that is steep, a low car may struggle to access and would be difficult in very wet weather.
Stephen
We enjoyed a peaceful week away, the cottage was everything and more we expected. Very clean, super comfy beds, wet room very handy. We had some lovely days out even though weather was a bit unpredictable, coming back to the hot tub was so relaxing after a long day out. We will most definitely be booking again, and really look forward to returning.
Elaine
Glan Gors is a wonderful house in the most amazing peaceful location. The house is very well equipped for all ages. The hot tub experience is incredible any time of day. You can bubble away with views to the mountains, beautiful sunsets and star gazing. We saw so many shooting stars. The children enjoyed the garden especially the ride on tractor. Plenty of places within 30 45 minutes to visit. We went to Llangollen, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Lake Brenig and climbed Moel Famau. The owners, Sylwen and Bryn were really friendly and helpful. We will definately be returning.
Superb cottage set miles from anywhere with amazing views, spacious cottage you couldnt want anymore if you are after a place to unwind!
Beautiful place & location. Everything is provided for & spotlessly clean. Ideal for visiting all the local places & to come back to the hot tub, with beautiful sunsets & many sheep! Thank you for having us GG.
Michelle
The place was lovely all you could see was fields and mountains, yet it wasn't far to anywhere, so peaceful. We had a resident squirrel and all kinds of birds flying over. The outdoor furniture was all modern and comfortable and inside was well equipped. We had a great stay and would go back again. Thanks
Fabulous property we had a wonderful week. The views and the sunsets were amazing.
Jacqueline
Lovely cottage, very well laid out with ample space for relaxing. Great views from the conservatory and patio. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the privacy. We went out walking every day but loved coming back to the cottage each night.
Daniel
The best place Ive stayed! Very isolated! Perfect for a weekend away
An amazing stay, if youre looking for a relaxing peaceful stress free cottage, this is it. Given the rural location lots of things to see and do a short drive away, we visited Llandudno, spent an afternoon paddle boarding in Llangollen and explored a beautiful nearby reservoir where you could cycle or sail. The cottage itself, lots of thoughtful attention to detail, very comfy beds with nice bedding, spare towels, bath robes, bath mats, and a generously equipped kitchen. It even had an electric mixer and scales so I could make my partner a birthday cake. The website does not do the hot tub justice, it was wonderful, scrupulously clean, and watching the sunset from the hot tub was sublime. The rural setting was perfect for us to unwind and chill from the hot tub. The slight mark down for not as described on the website was that the listing included a gas bbq, board games and the outdoor furniture did not include a table as per the listing but we improvised, so all was fine. Sylwen the owner was amazing very friendly, and left us to it, but was available if needed. Weve stayed in a lot of places and this was definitely right up there as one of the best. Thank you.
Andrew
Such a lovely time, thank you. Perfect house for a big family or sharing with 2 households with the split levels. There was everything that you could need for a few nights away and setting up a cot for our little one was really nice. The lane accessing the property is long and bumpy but it wouldn't stop us from returning. A beautiful setting surrounded by fields of sheep which our daughter loved.
Eluned
Lovely house, very accommodating hosts and a wonderful location. Thanks for a lovely weekend. Diolch.

Absolutely loved our stay at Glan Gors! Selwyn was super helpful throughout our stay, made some excellent recommendations for the local area and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was immaculate and the facilities were great! Loved spending time in the hot tub with the magnificent views. We already cant wait to return! Without a doubt worth a visit! Its a trip we will never forget.
Great location with a delightful cottage surrounded by hills, sheep and sky. Sylwen was lovely and made sure our stay was perfect. Great spot to explore North Wales.
Great stay! The house is lovely & well equipped. Nice & remote. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate us.
Fantastic remote cottage . Great facilities spotlessly clean . Hope to return soon. have come back recharged and rested .

We have recently returned from a wonderful break away at Glan Gors and it was amazing. It was really clean, tranquil and a great break away. We will definitely be back. Thank you
Bernard
It was very nice to see all the sheep running around the fields so freely
This is the second time we have stayed at Glan Gors and we had a fantastic holiday. The addition of the hot tub was a real treat! The accommodation is really well equipped, extremely clean and in a beautiful setting.

Glan Gors is a fantastic cottage which has everything you could need with lovely facilities in a beautiful location. The peace, tranquility and views are fantastic and my grandson particularly enjoyed all of the garden toys. The host was friendly and more than happy to accommodate your needs. We cannot wait to go back!
Christopher
Very accurate listing for a beautiful cottage, The owner Sylwen was very accommodating and we were greeted with a bottle of prosecco, snacks and fresh flowers. If you are looking for isolation and a central base to explore North Wales this is perfect.
The property owner was really helpful and accommodating. The cottage was everything we expected an more in a beautiful secluded location with amazing views. The facilities were excellent, every thing we needed to relax especially the hot tub with a view. We will definitely consider returning in the near future. If its not booked up? A great place to stay with easy relaxing road access to snowdonia 20 minutes away and the surrounding areas. A

We had the most amazing stay at Glan Gors, the location really is amazing surrounded by amazing views and sheep and lambs right on your door step! Great to be so isolated from any hustle and bustle for once, the hot tub was great and we were made so welcome. I really recommend a stay here, we left feeling so good and refreshed!
Just had a lovely mini break at the fabulous Glan Gors. Beautiful cottage in an idyllic spot. Fantastic views, in particular from the hot tub. The cottage was lovely and clean and Sylwen was the perfect host tending to our every need. The bottle of Prosecco and Crisps were a lovely addition to the house on arrival. The play area was great for the children and they loved Glan Gors they are already asking to go back! Thank you Sylwen and family
Abigail
We had a wonderful week at Glan Gors. The cottage is beautiful, well equipped and comfortable, with amazing panoramic views of fields and the mountains of Snowdonia in the distance. The hot tub was a welcome addition and we enjoyed watching the lambs bouncing around in the fields whilst we kept warm in the water. If you want to get away from it all, this is perfect and a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Lovely cottage in a great location

Wedi joio mas draw yma, lle perffaith i ddianc ym mherfedd cefn gwlad. Perchnogion rhwydd a chyfeillgar i ddelio a. Byddwn nol yn y dyfodol yn bendant. Diolch yn fawr.
This has been a brilliant place for us, just the isolation at the end of the road, and the fantastic views over the whole area, and snowdonia too. The farmhouse was very well equipped, and comfortable, we only had one poor day, but it was nice to watch the rain from the conservatory. This has been perfect for us. Thank you.
We had an amazing time, the accommodation was lovely, the views even better ha ! We were very lucky with the weather which was amazing and there are so many places to visit in North Wales so the location is spot on.
