The Wren Reviews

Sharon
The Wren is situated in a beautiful location with stunning views. The hot tub is very impressive. Lying in the autumn sun looking over the hills was so relaxing. Lovely walks and seaside close by to explore. Only down side for us was lack of cleaning materials. No basic materials, just a dustpan and brush, which we thought was odd!! Also we had no access to heating so couldn't manage this ourselves. We got cold at times!!
Fantastic hostes our accommodation was spotless very tastefully decorated everything you needed for a self catering holiday. Bed was soooo comfortable. Hot tub was amazing so powerful didn't get full use as was poorly during my stay. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic place and surrounding. Lovely host who were very welcoming and helpful with their information of the local area.
We came here last year and the stay was amazing, the cottage is so homely with ... We came here last year and the stay was amazing, the cottage is so homely with every thing you need also a big thanks to the owners Stuart and his wife

Excellent property in a perfect setting. Very well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing few days. Peaceful, wildlife, nature, walks literally from the doorstep. This place has everything and more with the hot tub set in amongst the landscape and even a roll top bath with a view in the bedroom. Plenty to see and do or not do. We loved our stay here. Steve and Sue the owners were wonderful hosts on hand when needed with loads of local knowledge or just a friendly chat. Positives loads. Negatives none.
Natalie
Absolutely beautiful property. Owners were lovely helpful and very friendly. Views from the property were just gorgeous. Highly recommend and we will be back again. Thank you for a lovely stay xx

Myself and my partner recently stayed at The Wren for 5 days, 5 days just wasn't enough! It's a home from home, although we preferred it at The Wren and did not want to leave. the property itself is outstanding, beautifully presented, clean, cosy and very well equipped, a lot bigger then the photos show, it really does contain EVERYTHING you could ever need, the owners have put a lot of love and thought into this property and it really does show. The surrounding area the property is situated on is beautiful, a lot wildlife, grassy meadow area's, shortlong walks, amazing scenery and not another personcar in site, but a 10 minute drive down the hill behind the property you arrive at the beach! The owners are lovely, they recommend afew things for us to see and do, it was like they knew us with how perfect every recommendation turned out to be! They are so welcoming, friendly, chatty and their hosting is exceptional, you won't see them all to often as they are busy working around the farm but they are always just a phone call away if you should need them. All in all it's defiantly a place I would recommend, we can't wait to return to The Wren.
Great property very clean and the location was amazing. Owners very nice. Just a couple of things. Extra towels needed I asked and got 2 extra hand towels and 1 bath towel. Usually with a hot tub separate towels are provided but we didnt have these here. Not a lot of cutlery. Also mattress on bed not great. Im being picky but get these right and it would be perfect. Again lovely location and hot tub fab.
Super cosy, well facilitated, and clean. A very relaxing atmosphere.
Amazing break away. Just what we needed. Ideal location to visit the local area, as well as venturing a little further a field. Thank you to our amazing hosts. Hope to return soon.
Michelle
Me and my partner stayed here over Christmas and I'm so glad we did it was perfect. The Wren is better than the pictures it's like a cosy little home with absolutely everything you need, hosts are very friendly and welcoming, showed us around everything and recommended walks for us to take. The elegant Christmas decorations were a perfect added touch for our arrival. Such a beautiful place, in stunning surroundings, don't think anyone could be disappointed staying here. Thankyou for making our Christmas perfect. We will definitely return.

Most perfect 4 night get away, so cosey in the cold winter, hosts were lovely and made us feel very safe and welcomed. The host are nearby if you need anything but still is a very secluded private area just for yourself. Perfect if u want to shut off into ur own bubble. Will definitely be back in the summer and climb some of the local mountains, beautiful cottage beautiful location. The hot tub was amazing even in the cold, panoramic open views across the valley. The bath was amazing, big enough for 2 people. Dressing gowns were a nice touch. The home made short bread was the best Ive ever tasted, such a nice unexpected treat! Left feeling so relaxed !!! Cottage was so clean upon arrival, for someone who inspects every detail this is a 5 from me Ps please get a new guest book, we wanted to leave a lovely note but we couldnt because it was so full! Such a nice personal touch. Thank you so much. Couldnt fault it at all! We had an amazing time. Was very sad to leave Hollie x
This property is outstanding in every respect. Sue and Steve were perfect hosts.

If youre looking for a peaceful getaway then I would definitely recommend! Me and my partner had an amazing time, the hosts were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everything was fantastic. The cottage is lovely, the hot tub was great and the surroundings were beautiful. Owners were very friendly and we would definitely like to return.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The hosts Sue and Steve were amazing always on hand if needed and always with a smile and happy to help. The cottage was perfect. Views were stunning. And after a lovely day out walking and sightseeing the hot tub was great especially in the night when you can see all the stars. A perfect break thank you!

Stayed here for 6 nights for my girlfriends 22nd birthday, as soon as we arrived we was extremely happy with the cottage as it is identical to the pictures, extremely clean and owned by lovey helpful hosts. It has a very large hot tub, bath and shower, cute cows at the property next door, and a lovely electric fireplace aswell as great places to visit nearby, i would definitely recommend visiting the Welsh Mountain Zoo which is only a 15 minute drive away. The farm that the cottage is on also has lovely areas to walk round and the cottage isn't too far from the beach. Thanks for such a lovely stay, already considering coming back and we only just left today!
We had a lovely stay at The Wren. Peace and quiet were what we were looking for and we got it. The place is well equipped with everything you might need on your stay. The owners were there if and when you needed them. We will definitely be looking to stay again.
This property was our first staycation together as a couple and I couldn't be more happier with our choice! The property is in such a beautiful setting with the hot tub out facing the horizon of fields and the friendly cows. The owners Sue and Steve were really friendly, informative and helpful and weren't invasive at all! The property is extremely clean, the bed is super comfy and the property was just so perfect as a base of operations for nearby walks and activities. It's a perfect stay for couples and if I'm ever back in North Wales again, I will definitely be back!!
Amazing stay! Friendly hosts helpful showed us around and how to work hot tub, we could ask if needed anything while was there , perfect place so peaceful, colwyn bay town 10 mins drive if needed anything, i preferred Llandudno for 20 mins drive, gwrych caste 10 mins if into historical or im celeb! Amazing views throughout the day! Plenty of walks around, hot tub was perfect at night with the quiet cows, loved watching them! Bath was also perfect after a long day! Everything you needed there, great facilities, comfy bed, plenty of room. Would 100 recommend to anyone! Im glad i found this place! Thank you again for perfect stay!
Our time at the Wren was beautiful. The cottage had everything to offer and more. Sue and Steve were extremely welcoming and provided us with all the information about the cottage and surrounding area and even offered to pick us up from the local pub if we had too much to drink. The cows were also very welcoming and we got to meet the bulls as well, this was a very nice touch and we loved being able to spend time with them. Overall the cottage is 1 of 1 and the experience we had was incredible, Id recommend this to anyone and we will definitely be back!!

The hosts Sue and Steve were fantastic, we were welcomed with homemade goodies which we enjoyed so much we asked for a bunch to take home which Sue kindly gifted. Also as we dont drive Steve kindly took us to the train station on the way home. The hot tub was amazing even in the cold night, overall just 1000 better than I could have ever imagined.
