Manor Farm Lodges - Dragon Lodge Reviews

Me , my partner and our friend couple all had an incredible stay at the dragon lodge! The place is beautiful, well maintained, excellent for facilities and so so so many cute fluffy animals to feed and pet! Thank you to Julie and Kev for providing us a lovely place to stay and play our boardgames to our heart's content!!! 100 will be back! Highly recommend this place if you love nature and want to get away from the busyness of everyday life!
You won't find a better place in Wales to rest and relax surrounded by silence and friendly animals. Even the flies are friendly. Hosts very helpful and good as people. We will certainly return.

We had an incredible time at Dragon lodge couldn't fault anything ! ! Feeding the Alpacas and goats and feeding new born lambs was amazing.Kev was the friendliest bloke you could ever meet and Julie was lovely and so helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to return as everything was perfect. The Bull and Heifer pub just down the road is certainly worth a visit or three !! Perfect holiday was a privilege to stay there and great hosts ,Can't wait to return.
Me and my partner stayed a week in dragon lodge at the end of march and we had the most perfect time. the lodge was gorgeous, cleaned to an exceptional standard, and the cake, milk and bread were a much appreciated extra. we were made to feel extremely welcome, and feeding the animals every day was a real highlight for me! we would most definitely return and recommend to family and friends for an amazing get away in the perfect countryside!
Absolutely amazing time had at dragon lodge last week, more than enough space for us. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the beds were so comfy, and you could not fault the cleanliness.A very helpful folder full of information from what to do or where to visit down to how to work the lodges appliances. My granddaughter absolutely loved feeding the alpacas every day.The hot tub was perfect and the view Was to die for. When we arrived the log burner was lit, there was milk in the fridge and a loaf of bread and a beautiful cake from the local bakery which was such a nice touch. We had Sunday lunch at the nags head which is about a 1015 minute drive away would highly recommend. Could not fault anything would definitely recommend.
Had a lovely holiday felt very welcomed right from the start. The lodge is well equipped and very comfortable with some nice homely touches. It is also located near some great attractions. We loved feeding the alpacas. We found they loved carrot, Brussels sprouts and sweet potato chopped up. Owners are on hand and responsive if you have any needs.

This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. This is a lovely lodge with everything there you could want and in such a beautiful setting. Sitting in the hot tub watching the Llamas and goats is the perfect way to relax and recharge your batteries. Will definitely be back again.

Fantastic log cabin very private lovely views and the owners have gone that extra mile to make sure all the little things you forget first night is there, milk, sugar, coffee, tea cake etc etc, beautiful decorations and immaculate and clean, and to top it off Kev and Julie cannot do enough if you need them, free extra wood for the log burner, we will be returning for another fantastic break thanks Irv and Paula

What a beautiful lodge, in the stunning hills between Welshpool and Newtown. So peaceful and quiet. When we arrived, the log burner was on, a beautiful chocolate cake was waiting for us on the table and you instantly felt at home. The lodge itself has great facilities with the king size bunks and bathroom on one side and another king sized bed and bathroom the other side. The kitchen, diner has everything you need to get a proper meal cooked if you like. The hot tub on the outside decking, just wow! But the icing on the cake, the animals. Bob, Tom and Ed the Alpacas, the Goats and watching the chickens do the 100m dash for lunch is something else. Big thanks to Kev, and Julie for the welcome and lodges you provide. Well be back in 2022 without doubt.
We had a great week at the lodge. The views are fantastic. We had everything we needed. Kev & Julie made sure everything ran smoothly. We're looking forward to returning next year. We highly recommend Dragon Lodge.
Fantastic lodge very clean and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful owner. Would recommend for a relaxing trip to mid Wales.
The lodge is of an exceptional standard. Your supplied with all the kitchen equipment, glasses, large fridge freezer you could possibly need. Beautifully decorated and very comfy. Fabulous well maintained hot tub and deck area. Lovely to meet all the animal's. If I had any reccomendation maybe more fans or ceiling fan in the lounge area. All around beautiful Central location for making the most of all attractions in and around mid Wales. We loved it.

Wonderful lodge in a fab setting
Couldnt fault this lodge, we had an amazing time. Amazing owners who went out their way to help. Will definitely be returning!
Lodge owners very helpful and friendly. Be aware, mobile reception very poor but WiFi excellent.
We stayed as a family of for with 2 young children, the lodge was perfect for us lots of room but also cosy. The owner was very welcoming and met us on arrival. There isn't lots to do in the area so we did spend a lot of time driving out but we didn't mind as coming back to the lodge and hot tub made up for it! The alpacas in the field next to the cabin were very amusing and kept the kids entertained! We had a lovely holiday despite covid and will definitely be returning
Jessica
We have stayed in the Dragon Lodge for a week in July. We had a fantastic time there, the lodge and surrounding areas are beautiful.. long or short walks and seeing all the animals.. the alpacas are a delight. The lodge Owners Kev and Julie are very kind and very approachable with any questions.. The lodge had everything needed for a relaxing week away. Newtown was not too far away either. Our Daughter loved searching for Dewi the dragon around and finding the chocolate left for her.. such a lovely idea. The welcome book was fantastic as it explained how to use any amenities in the lodge as well as information of local restaurants and places to visit. It was very informative. Manor Lodges is truely a beautiful peaceful place and we are looking at returning again soon.

6 of us stayed here for a week over the New Year and we couldn't have hoped for a better lodge. It was wellequipped, spacious, peaceful and the covered hot tub outside is a showstopper whatever the weather! Kev and Julie were very friendly and the information they provided helped us get the most out of our stay. Newtown was easily accessible by car whenever we needed to stock up and the Bull & Heifer pub in Bettws Cedewain was only a short walk away. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and we enjoyed going on day trips, especially to Snowdonia National Park. We will be back thank you!
Robert
It was so peaceful and we had everything we needed to make it a special Christmas! !! Thanks so much for a great holiday break!!!
10th November 2019. Group of three. The accomodation we chose was the Dragon lodge and what a delight it was. Spacious, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our hosts, Kev and Julie, were absolutely fantastic and provided all our needs and more. The secure entry ensured no one could access the lodge as the key is placed in key safe upon arrival. The rooms were airy and the central heating system controls are modern and easy to use. In fact all the facilities are first class and new. The hot tub is just wonderful and a lovely place to be in the evening as the dark draws in and gets colder. Its cleaned and treated daily. The log burner is fantastic and heats up the lodge in no time at all. I struggled with getting it going at first but a quick message to our hosts and Kev arrived within ten minutes to get it started for me. Thats one of biggest stand out points too, that our hosts were courteous, very pleasant and handled any queries we had in a timely manner. The kitchen is modern, new and has everything you need for your stay. Tea, coffee, sugar, bread, a complimentary cake and even little things like dishwasher tablets were provided that make things easier and more comfortable for you to settle in. There is a smart TV with remotes in all bedrooms, the beds are super comfortable and even my best mate with back problems had a good nights rest with no issues. The bathrooms are also a highlight with new rain style shower heads that give you great hot water with a decent pressure. There are plenty of towels given in the rooms for the bathrooms and hot tub use. Your children can also have fun trying to find the elusive Dewi the dragon that is hidden somewhere within the lodge. Parking is fine, close and adjacent to the lodge with no problems for access with anyone with mobility issues or wheelchair users. My friends and I had an amazing time during our short stay and we would just like to say a big thankyou to Kev and Julie for being so hospitable. We will definitely be returning in the future as its an A venue.
Belinda
Wales was amazing dragon lodge even more so. Lovely couple who greeted us had everything in the lodge spot on. Literally home from home comfort wise. The view was amazing as was the hot tub. Would recommend for that truly relaxing experience. Hope to return.
Beverley
Dragon Lodge is a fabulous place to stay. ....beautifully done with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The area is so peaceful with fantastic views and entertainment from the wildlife including sheep, grouse, red kites, ducks. Julie and Kev are very welcoming and have provided a perfect oasis which we would gladly return to.......we would live there if we could!!!!
Robert
