This cottage is a rural delight . So comfortable once the heating warmed up and the hot tub was a fab part of our hols. Found a lovely walk nearby and able to walk to Rutland Sykes side. Be warned loads of beautiful country pubs near by but not serving evening meals. We had drinks and came home for dinner cooked and eaten in the home from home dinnRead moreing room Hide

We hired Rose Cottage for Christmas. The cottage is pretty and situated near Rutland water. The hot tub is wonderful and well maintained. The rooms are a good size and there are three large rooms (inclusive of kitchen) downstairs. The fire is not in use, but makes a nice backdrop to the lounge. The kitchen is a good size but could do with some moreRead more cupboard space for food if you are self catering at the property. Hide

Fantastic accommodation in a great location Already planning next year
Claire
A really lovely cottage, we had a relaxing break walking round Rutland water, chilling on the patio or relaxing in the hot tub
Ruth
A lovely cottage in a quiet corner of Empingham - close to the village store and the pub which we visited for very tasty evening meals. The owners were very helpful, and the hot tub was great. We played badminton in the garden and walked to Rutland water - ithe cottage was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers; plenty of space and well equipped. There were several people using the annex, but did not disturb us. Perhaps not the best cottage for you if you are bothered by spiders.
Claire
Comfortable cottage in a lovely village with good attractions nearby. The owners are very nice and when contacted about a problem were very helpful. The kitchen could do with an update, but the property generally was comfortable. The hot tub and badminton were great fun.
Helen
Extremely relaxing stay in such a charming property. Time spent chilling in the hot tub & relaxing on the patio. Was lovely for the dogs to have freedom being able to run in the enclosed garden. Lovely large dining room for us all to be able to dine and socialise as one big family. Kids loved the large quantity of games provided. Can't wait to retu rn.

Overall, a very nice property and situation. Rustic, quirky, well equipped and cosy. Plenty to do around the area for the adventurous, and enough luxury for the not so. I am still nursing a sore head from the low beams, but was forewarned about this . Now noticeably ducking through all doorways in our own home.

We had a lovely stay here, the photos don't do this beautiful cottage justice. Tastefully decorated for Christmas and filled with curiosities that we enjoyed exploring. Very well equipped, the kitchen had all you could need. Hot tub was all ready to go upon arrival. Large drive and garden shared with a annexe, you would never know it was occupied t hough, the chap who lives there was very pleasant the one time our paths crossed. Highly recommended
Sharon
Great cottage very cosy well equipped. Location perfect. Perfect for families or a group of friends. Definitely highly recommended
Judith
We encountered several problems, the worst being the dust and dead insects behind the bed. The bathroom sink was blocked, the shower didn't mix well, the sofas were uncomfortable and the towels and bed linen were poor quality. It was disappointing as it could have been 5 star. The hot tub did not make up for the deficiencies.
Catherine
Lovely location for great access to Rutland Water. Home is well equipped. Outdoor space great.
Emily
We absolutely loved staying at the cottage. Me and my family all had a wonderful time and loved our holiday. The large cottage is beautiful with a fabulous hot tub and a large garden. Location is great within close proximity of rutland water, pubs, supermarkets and a leisure centre we visited with a swimming pool. The owner was very polite, helpful and thorough. We definitely would recommend the cottage. Thank you so much we made some wonderful memories there and felt the time went too fast.
Linda
We had a lovely week with our grandchildren at Rose Cottage. It was in a great location. We could walk to Rutland Water where we played crazy golf and we could hire bikes. The hot tub was a huge success with the children. They spent a lot of time in it The garden was secure for them with plenty room to play badminton etc.
Brenda
A beautiful cottage in a chocolate box picture village. The garden was ideal for picnics, BBQs with plenty of space for car parking. Another shower would have been advantageous for the seven visitors but understand the limitations with suitable space in a 100 year old cottage. Hope to visit again sometime in the future.
Geoff
This is a charming cottage in a lovely peaceful area, close to so many attractions. The kitchen is well equipped , good wi -fi and period features throughout. Comfy beds and a good size garden. We did not realise the other property in the garden was so close to the main building but this did not spoil our stay. The village is a delightful and a per fect base for exploring Rutland .
