Rosehill Manor Reviews

Christine
Great place for family get together plenty of space and the 9 bedrooms with ensuite were ideal. The large industrial style kitchen was great for cooking for so many. The pool table, swimming pool and hot tub were much in demand and it was lovely to see the young ones off their phones so much!! Highly recommend this house for a large group
Denise
Decking area needs a clean as very slippery, food warmer in kitchen not working no plug on it. Signs at pool not to open door, chlorine fumes overpowering at one stage, when we spoke to owners they said oh you could open door. no soap at sinks in bedroom, just small guest soaps would be good. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay x
We came to Rosehill manor for a 21st Birthday celebration weekend. The age range for our group of 16 was 21 to early 60's. The manor offered something for everyone. There was plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained throughout the weekend. We were super lucky with the weather, so enjoyed using the grounds to play outdoor games we brought with us. The pool was a huge hit with all ages, as was the hot tub. We were greeted on arrival, shown around and given instructions for using the appliances made aware we could make contact with owners if needed and then left to enjoy our weekend. Good spaces for large groups. Good location for shopping and takeaways. Road next to the manor was busy but didn't disturb anyone. We had a fantastic time. Rosehill provided everything we needed and Phil and Jane were super welcoming. Highly recommended.
We were group of 20 women, went for the weekend for 3 nights. Phil and Jane were very welcoming, facilities were shown. Hot tub and Pool were easy for us to manage. lots of space for big group. Kitchen was well equipped with fridge, freezer, two dishwashers, two big sinks. We thoroughly enjoyed all the facilities and had a memorable time. Waves in the Pool is really unique and enjoyable. Garden is beautiful. we felt price was also quite reasonable for big group for 3 nights. I am going to certainly recommend to friends and family.
What a wonderful weekend we spent at this mansion made perfectly to fit our extended family. We filled every bedroom and had 19 of us ranging from 2 to 88 years. It was everything we could have wished for to entertain us all. The snooker table was in constant use and perfectly placed to ensure everyone could join in as competitor or observer. The pool was a hit for solo use, or with a crowd in with the kids. While that was busy, just a few could escape to the quieter hot tub and enjoy the wonderful weather we were lucky enough to have. We managed a lunch out on the patio, where there were plenty of chairs and tables to fit us all. Shame we couldn't BBQ but who knew the weather was going to be so good this early in the year. It was great to have completely enclosed safe gardens for the kids to run around in. The kitchen was perfectly equipped to cater for us all and we used it to capacity. Great to have 2 dishwashers and the huge belfast sinks. More dishcloths scrubbers a request and a bread knife. The fridge capacity was fantastic and the oven, hot cupboard, grill combo perfect for us all. Although we didn't spend much time in the bedrooms they were comfortable, spacious, fantastic to have ensuites for everyone. Thanks so much for wonderful hospitality. I'd definitely recommend this luxury break for a larger gathering than normal!
Excellent stay , everything was there you would possibly need . The kitchen was brilliant . The Manor was nice and warm , pool and hot tub was great for the kids and adults alike. Phil and Jane the owners were very friendly and was a phone call away if needed. Would recommend to anyone. Brilliant
Lovely property and hosts. It was warm and well heated with lots of space for everyone
We had a fantastic weekend away, the facilities were up to expectations and the owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. The only drawback for us was the layout of the bedrooms, ie four had a double and a single which made things complicated for us, but that is something we knew about in advance and cannot be changed. As that is our only adverse comment you can see everything else was perfect.

We had a great holiday and a wonderful time. The host was very helpful and welcoming. The property was ideal for our big gothering. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The swiming pool is wonderful but it could benefit from curtains for full privacy We surely will visit again
The bedrooms are lovely and spacious. We used all the facilities enjoying all of them. They made our stay relaxed and stress free. Everyone could find something to do that made them feel relaxed and there was much laughter.
This is a perfect property for a large group, with all ensuite bedrooms. With facilities like the games room, indoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, pool table, large commercial kitchen, bar with wine coolers and fridge this property has it all and caters to all ages. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the property for a large group.
We had a fantastic time and we're very pleased with the house and it's facilities. The pool table was just fantastic and the hot tub was amazing didn't want to leave it.
Claire
Phil and Jane were excellent hosts. They gave us time to settle in and then showed us how to work the facilities. Phil was extremely helpful and understanding when we had a slight mishap. We are already planning our return stay. Thank you Phil and Jane for making my birthday weekend amazing!!
Christian
We had a lovely week long stay after having not seen other family members for up to 18 months. The great facilities and local amenities meant that we could relax indoors and out. The fact that the whole week was a heatwave was an added bonus.
Absolutely fantastic. Our group of 6 including a 3yr really loved this place. Great facilities. Really unique accommodation Lots to do in surrounding areas Owners are great and helpful We definitely be rebooking
The property is oldfashioned but everything works and is perfectly clean. The layout works very well. We were a mixed age group family from 60 years old to 2 years old and everyone was pleased with the property. The garden is very level and we played tennis, cricket and badminton. The children played on the trampoline and the climbing frame. The kitchen, as in the photos, is a commercial kitchen but it works particularly well for large groups. easy to clean, easy to cook and keep hot a roast dinner. We are so impressed we are thinking of booking for Christmas!
We are a family group of 18 from grandparents to babies and this was our 1st visit to the Manor house. The owners Phil and Jane couldn't have been more helpful and the property itself was immaculate. Plenty to do in the house if the weather is poor table tennis, pool table etc and a wonderful indoor pool and oudoor hot tub. Well maintained gardens with trampoline and lawn games if the weather is kind. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and all ensuite and the dining table and kitchen facilities were amazing. A comfortable bar area completed to perfect holiday break. We intend to be repeat visitors!
Leading up to our hen weekend for 20 of us, the owners were fantastic from the get go, answering any queries and concerns even done to weather reports due to the floods that were said to be in the area. Very warm, lovely couple showed us around and how to use the facilities. They went above and beyond even to the point we had a food shop delivery that came earlier than we had arrived and they put everything away for us! The grounds are incredible and love the countryside look and feel from log burner fires even to the decor it was very fitting. Sofas were filled with the hen party lounging and spread out all cosy with even some catching zzz's. The people in the area when we ventured out were so friendly and even at the restaurant we went to, Pickles Indian Restaurant went above and beyond with a waiter offering and then taking a couple of the hens back to the Manor because they were feeling unwell. The bridetobe felt truly spoilt.
Wonderful for large groups, lots of different spaces to relax in and huge dining table. We also did a nice country walk to a pub about half an hour away
Rosehill Manor is a really well equipped and comfortable place which proved ideal for our family party of 3 generations. The size and range of the downstairs facilities gave a stay there a real event feel, and it was great fun to play Masterchef in the commercial kitchen and pub quiz in the bar. The kids loved it and the pool and hot tub were a big hit. The owners were on hand , helpful but not intrusive. Highly recommended !!
The accommodation was exactly as described and perfect for a large familyfriends gathering of all ages. We had a friendly welcome on arrival and really enjoyed all the facilities at Rosehill
Rosehill Manor exceeded all our expectations. We were a very diverse family group of 16 with an age range of 3 to 66. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and very well equipt, the kitchen was truly outstanding with every appliance you could wish for. The leisure facilities were amazing and well maintained. The gardens were great for relaxation and family games. The hosts Phil and Jane were excellent always on hand but never intrusive. We would strongly recommend this venue to any large group.
Wonderful house, every comfort provided, lovely hosts and we intend to return. Had a brilliant time, thank you
Farheena
We had a very pleasant stay at the manor. The owners were very welcoming and gave us a tour when it was suitable for us. The facilities were great and the garden is beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Stuart
This is a perfect residence for a family holiday. There were 20 of us ranging from 2 to 73 years of age including 6 x children aged 2 to 11. The children loved the swimming pool and the adults the hot tub. The kitchen is large and well suited to catering for 20. Bedrooms are comfortable, although would benefit from black out blinds. The dining room and lounge are well suited to large family groups. A lot of family fun was had at the pool table, table tennis table and table football. The gardens are lovely and spacious and the trampoline was a kids' favourite. There is plenty to see and do in the local area. Phil and Jane the owners are discreet and extremely hospitable. I would recommend this for a large group holiday.
Although the fabric and furniture details are a little dated, the experience the facility offers works extremely well and provides for a fantastic group experience.

Only issue was, we had taken and made CDs to play music, as it stated there was a CD player and speakers throughout the ground floor. However there was not a CD player, and the speakers did not seem to be connected. There was a device we managed to connect to a mobile phone which served a purpose. This was a small issue, and everyone had a fantastic weekend. Thank you
Dorothy
Our family had a lovely week at Rosehill Manor and the facilies were good to cater for twenty 7 to 80 year olds there was plenty to occupy everyone . The kitchen was well equipped but we would have liked some smaller saucepans and more small vegetable knives because we were doing our own catering. The decor and furniture was rather dated and could do with a little TLC but that did not affect our enjoyment as mostly everything was in working order. The swimming pool and jaccusi were checked each morning by staff which we were pleased about. Thank you for a lovely week.
Perfect holiday home for families everything you could possibly want to keep everyone entertained and so much spaceloved all the extra touches including the heated swimming pool perfect for everyone the hot tub which was perfect even in the freezing weather! !! The children's equipment in their own garden beautiful garden and patio area would be even better in the sunshine.Fully equipped hotel type kitchen and bar with everything and more you could possibly need ensuites to every bedroom comfy beds .Phil and Jane the owners were totally unobtrusive but always a call away if we needed anything thankyou for a great birthday celebration weekend.

Loved the hot tub was checked by the owners every morning and also the swimming pool. Owners very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Our whole family had a wonderful week ages from 6 months to 81 years. Great place for families

We were a group of 19 people family with ages ranging from 3 to 72. The house was very convenient with multiple spaces for the different age ranges to occupy but also to convene as one. When doors were closed it felt as though areas were sound proofed which was a god send! The swimming pool may have been small but the younger kids loved it, as did the the others when swimming against the current. A lot of time was spent on the pool table and playing table tennis. The garden patio was smashing with plenty of space for everyone to chill and hang out. The hot tub was a complete added bonus. There was a separate garden for younger children with a trampoline and swings too. Lots of wildlife to see, including teeny frogs and a bird of prey! We think it was a falcon living spaces were comfortable and cosy, we would hang out in the conservatory in the evening with the doors open. The kitchen was completely kitted out, so able to save a fortune by eating at home. Beware this option with 19 takes up a lot of time and energy! I would recommend cleaners and an online shop ready on arrival. Lots of space for parking cars, completely private. The week was so much fun. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Any criticisms? place is dated and not all the windows would open. Situated on a busy road so not handy to go out for walks. Would be better with black out blinds. All in all I would recommend, a family friendly place.

This suited our purposes exactly. We were 17 including 7 grandsons ages 6 13yrs The weather was poor but the swimming pool, table football, pool table, table tennis, hot tub and board games gave us plenty to do, and there was plenty of room for everybody to do their own thing. Everywhere was comfortable not overly 'posh' great we have seven grandsons! The owners very pleasant, pretty laid back and very helpful. The catering kitchen had all and more that was needed. Large dining table meant we were able to eat together. Highly recommended.
Elizabeth
Rosehill Manor was the perfect venue for our family holiday. We felt relaxed and enjoyed all the facilities, especially the swimming pool and garden.
Ideal for switching off & chilling . .......
Jacqueline
We were a family of 17 aged 1yr old to 87yrs . There was something for everyone . The little ones played in the pool , the teenagers and competitive men swam against the positive pressure you could activate in the pool .all adults used the hot tub . All enjoyed the large garden and kiddies loved their play area .plenty of seating and we had good weather so used the large BBQ . Table tennis , table football and snooker table also well used by us . We did manage to go out as well. Short drive to the canal , lovely walk along it . Went to Monkey forest , the kiddies loved it . The more adventurous went go karting and white water rafting . A great family holiday with lots of precious memories .
Lesley
Very nice house, lovely owners. Saturday night meal was very good. Will most likel5 return. Thanks Phil and Jane
Colette
Great house for a large family gathering. Our ages ranged from 2 years old up to 80 years old, with every age in between. The pool was great for the big kids & little kids alike, the hot tub was a lovely retreat for the adults & the games rooms got well used by everyone. Very nice owners who live on site & are available should you need them. Would love to visit again during the summer months to take more advantage of the beautiful garden.
Angela
We were very well looked after by the owners. Thank you. The facilities were brilliant. The houses decoration was quite old fashioned eg wall paper styles and carpet in toilets etc so some modernisation would be good. The first aid box should be removed or updated. Antiseptic was 16 years out of date and nothing useful in it when a child fell over with a cut knee. This led us to a false sense of security until we needed to use it! The only reason we would probably not rebook is bc as a family we like to go to different parts of the country but would definitely recommend.
