This is a comfortable and very dog friendly cottage with a fully enclosed paved garden area. The owners were friendly and helpful. The location was great for visiting the local area - Binchester Roman Fort is only a couple of miles away as is the deer park at Bishops Auckland which was fabulous for dog walks.

We had a fabulous stay at the cottage. The cottage is very clean, and the furniture is so comfortable! The hot tub was great fun, and it was nice to have a secure area for our dog to enjoy too. When we met the hosts briefly, they were very kind and friendly. This is a great base for exploring the area, with lots to see and do right on the doorstep. A great find in a lovely location. Super dog friendly with the fully enclosed garden, throws for the sofa and some treats on arrival too. The hot tub is a great addition, although does take a few hours to warm up. Owners are so friendly and helped with a couple of enquiries really quickly. What a perfect place to stay! Situated in a small village not far from Durham, its a great place to unwind and take a step back from the hustle and bustle of life. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay (inc dog bowls and treats which was a great touch) - the addition of the hot tub was our fave part!
