Post Lady Cottage Reviews

Christine
We spent an amazing Christmas at Post Lady Cottage. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The cottage feels so homely and is decorated beautifully. Our daughter loved all the Christmas decorations and really enjoyed the hot tub. The location is wonderful too, there are a few great walks a short drive away. Carol and Jimmy were heRead morelpful and there if you needed anything, but they left us to enjoy the cottage and garden on our own. A perfect location for a country Christmas! Hide

Carol and Jimmy were great hosts they are friendly and and went the extra mile to be helpful. Post lady Cottage has been beautifully renovated and is spotlessly clean. it was a real home from home with all mod cons and we appreciated the extra touches. We loved the gardens and jacuzzi, which was used every day. The location of the cottage is ideal and a great base to explore the Lakes. We recommend this property and hope to return next year
Deborah
Fantastic cottage. Beautifully decorated. Attention has been given to all the things you might need while staying like cleaning products for the kitchen and bathroom, cling film and tin foil too. Separate towels supplied for bathing and the hot tub was fantastic. The garden is lovely. 2 separate egg chairs was great (I loved the double one for an a fternoon snooze!). The hot tub was fantastic. We loved sitting out there at night. Great location for getting around. We loved it.

Carol could not have been more helpful. The offer of a fan for the bedroom to make the conditions a little cooler for our grandson was a lovely gesture and very welcome. The cottage was very well equipped with a cosy feel and we would love to return over the Christmas period when it is all decorated. Next time we are in the Lakes we will certainly be booking this beautiful cottage again, it was a great find.

A very warm welcome and such a great place to stay for the half term break. The place was immaculate and the hot tub was used almost everyday. We had everything we needed as it was so well equipped. Despite a bit of weather as, they say in the Lakes, we were warm and cosy. Highly recommended.
Peter
A beautiful little cottage spotless . everything you would need in the kitchen right down to a coffee machine . The host couldn't have been more helpful when the village had a power cut she came around with some candles ,and checked that we were OK If there is anything that you need just ask
Sarah
The most beautiful, comfortable, clean, home-from-home place we have stayed in. The hot tub was a huge success. The garden is beautiful. The owners, Carol & Jimmy, are so lovely, friendly, kind & helpful.
Carol
On arrival we were met by Carol who gave us a warm welcome. From the first step inside we could see just how fantastic, immaculate, and tastefully decorated the cottage was from the stone floors to the exposed wood. Small and compact but contained everything you needed. Everything was shown and explained to us. The garden is amazing a lot of thought and planning obviously had gone into how to make the best of every space.
Ruth
Just got back from a lovely week at Post Lady Cottage as a family of four. The accommodation is beautiful with everything you could need, the hot tub was a real bonus. The indoor and outdoor games were a hit with the children, especially the badminton and archery. Carol was always helpful if we needed anything. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
