Hillside View Reviews

We had a lovely stay at hillside view. The lodge was comfortable and as listed. We enjoyed the location as it was central to activities we had booked for during our stay. The owners left useful information and were easy to contact if we required any other information. The hot tub was a lovely touch and we enjoyed relaxing in it after our days out.
Jennifer
Lovely lodge very well equipped, great location on sight not overlooked. Quiet site and pleasant walks around the woods.
Beautiful lodge with views over the golf course and woods. extremely clean and well equipped with bonus of a hot tub. so great to be able to bring the dogs who enjoyed lovely walks in the woods on site and the lovely beaches and countryside nearby. a great location for visiting northumberland. excellent communication with the owners and thanks so much also for the welcome gift which was a lovely touch much appreciated. it didnt worry us but just to note there is no shop onsite sainsburys and m&s just up the A1 and the clubhouse was more like a social club but the site was very well maintained
Loved this lodge, so peaceful despite being on a large site, lovely to look out over the golf course. Very well equipped, everything to really high standards, and Nicola and Paul were very friendly and helpful. Loads to do in this area which we had not visited before, Sunday market in Amble is worth a visit, and Amble itself is a lovely little town. Also Alnwick Castle and Garden, Bamburgh Castle, and a boat trip to Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands is not to be missed. We had a wonderful fortnight and hope to return. Excellent lodge, very comfortable, great facilities and the owner had thought of everything anyone might need.
We arrived to find a very clean and equipped accommodation with fantastic views quit and peaceful with an abundance of wild life roaming around. The highlight was seeing young deer which we got to see within a few feet of the lodge on a couple of occasions. P.s Thanks for a fantastic time see you soon
Lovely stay at Hillside View with great views especially for seeing the deer. The lodge was very comfortable with everything you need for a great stay. Short driving distances to all the local attractions. Lovely walks in the area and a couple of great pubs serving food a short drive away.

This is a beautiful lodge and a wonderful view to wake up to every morning. Excellent communication from Nicola day of arrival. The lodge has everything you need to enjoy your stay, although its close to the A1 you truly feel you are in the middle of the countryside. Our two pugs loved the walks, we even had a trip to bamburgh castlebeach and seahouses. Weve stayed at this park for the past 3 years and this was by far our favourite property.
Eleanor
The lodge was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Our hosts had thought of everything and more that we might need for our stay.
Trevor
We really enjoyed our stayed at Hillside Lodge, one of the most comfortable and home from home places we have stayed at before, the owners of the lodge go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. It was really nice waking in the morning to see deers, outside, it was a very peaceful area. Where the lodge was situated was a great location for us, we visited Alnwick, Berwick, Holy Island , Hadrians wall and other places. All in all a very great stay. Thankyou.
Patricia
Excellent few days at Hillside view. Everything thought of . The only issue we had was that the wind was strong and blew over the umbrella and a gate on the porch . We left a message for the owners. The hot tub was just the best especially on the one clear night when the stars were out !
This amazing little gem was luxury indeed. Extremely clean, very well equipped and a lovely present from the owner of a bottle of prosecco and chocolates. We spent just 4 days walking and exploring the local area, restaurants and pubs as recommended by the owner. Together with a wonderful New Year's Eve celebration and many fun times in the hot tub. Absolutely perfect venue and I would highly recommend.
A Beautiful well equipped Lodge. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
What an amazing find. Beautiful lodge fully equipped with everything you might need. En suite is huge with a walkin shower. Tranquil setting looking out to part of the golf course. Close to the seaside many castles Holy Island and an amazing second hand book shop the size of a supermarket! The hot tub was just what the doctor ordered to keep both my husband and child happy! Would definitely recommend this lodge and seriously looking at booking again.
We were very happy with our stay at Hillside View. The accommodation was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in. Location was great close to a lot of places to visit. The holiday park was very quiet and my husband enjoyed a round of golf. Hot tub was really good. We had a lovely time there. Thank you.
Nerissa
The lodge was immaculate, with everything we needed. The pictures don't do it justice. We had a lovely, relaxing time staying for a week. We visited all of the local beaches and are at a number of the local restaurants. Fantastic hosts too with great communication and the wine and chocolates. On arrival was a lovely touch too. Brilliant place to have a holiday.
Gillian
We had a great weekend. The idea was to relax, enjoy the hot tub and do as little as possible and that's what we did. The lodge was in a perfect place on the site! The facilities were over and above the standard you would usually get and everything was thought of, down to a welcome bottle of prosecco! It was spotless, the intruction file was great although local taxi numbers might be a good addition for the pub trips
Good welcome pack. Great location. Restful. Owner checked part way through if everything was ok. Lovely walks especially if you have a dog. Would stay there again.
We had a lovely stay at Hillside View, spotlessly clean throughout with everything and more you could need for a self catering break. There was even a doggy bed in the cloakroom! Bed was super comfy with a power shower in the ensuite to set you up for the day. Then after a day walking our Bully on the fantastic beaches at Seahouses and Bamburgh or walking the trials through Percy Woods the hot tub was just just thing to unwind in. Particularly liked the fact it was on a fully enclosed veranda so the dog wasn't tempted to go for a wander! Facing onto the golf course meant we had the sun all afternoon into the late evening bar one wet day! We will definitely be back with clubs next time to enjoy the lodge and the beautiful Northumbrian coast and countryside. Thank you Nicola and Paul for a lovely week,it felt like a real home form home!
Excellent week very enjoyable good base and a lot to see
Robert
I hadn't realised from the listing that this property is situated on quite a large holiday site. Had I done so I probably wouldn't have booked it and that would have been a big mistake. The accommodation is first class, contains everything you could want and expect all of which is kept in very good condition. It has an outlook from the main room and porch over the golf course. The site itself was very quiet and there are good walks directly into the surrounding countryside. It's a terrific base for all the attractions that Northumberland has to offer. Lots to see and do within a twenty mile radius.
Beautiful lodge with hot tub in a lovely picturesque setting. The lodge itself was perfect and very comfortable with everything you could possible want for a nice relaxing weekend.
Deborah
A beautifully presented well equipped lodge. It really did have everything.
Such a lovely and well equipped property. It felt like staying in a 5star hotel. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and will hopefully return.
Dianne
Our first visit to Northumberland and we cant recommend it highly enough. We couldnt have picked better accommodation for our family of 4 and dog. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was a big hit. The position is lovely overlooking the golf course, we saw deer wandering round in the evenings, fabulous. The site is well looked after and Swarland is a great location for getting around Northumberland. We hope to return in the not too distant future.
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, nice and clean lodge with lovely views.
Deborah
This is a lovely spacious lodge with lovely views, it is probably the best equipped lodge I have stayed in and the owners have provided lots of thoughtful touches which make the lodge really welcoming and homely. The location is also great for exploring Northumberland, would definitely recommend it.
Absolutely beautiful lodge in a fantastic location and we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone
We spent a lovely week in Hillside View, and we were not disappointed! The lodge was absolutely spotless on arrival and the perfect cosy home from home. Absolutely perfect hosts who responded quickly to any questions we had, but did not intrude other than that. The outside area is completely enclosed, so it perfect for anyone with a dog small children. We were so pleased with how well equipped the lodge was, with everything you could need in the kitchen as well as fresh bed linens and towels. Even the toilet rolls were stocked up! We have actually stayed places that only provide 1 roll for an entire week!. The hot tub was checked daily, and was an absolute treat on an evening.. stargazers will be very pleased, we were in awe. The park is within 15 minutes of Alnwick and has plenty of surrounding attractions including castles and a zoo. However we stayed within walking distance for the week we came to relax, and we have a very lazy bulldog
We stopped in this lodge over new year and our stay was brilliant! 1010 for everything, it was comfy, clean and in a beautiful place. There was not one wrong thing I could say about this place. We will definitely be returning again this year!
Andrea
What a lovely home away from home! We had a lovely relaxing holiday, the lodge had everything we needed and more! Thank you!
