A great lodge in a beautiful setting. Hot tub was amazing, great to be greeted each morning by the horses and chickens on site. Well equipped kitchen and comfy sofa to relax in the evening. Really peaceful and a perfect break. Only recommendation is the bed needs replacing. Not so comfy and piled with mattress toppers which make it lumpy and dip. Really first class accommodation with stunning views in all directions. Blissfully peaceful location. Lots of good pubs and stunning walks close by. Totally secure garden for dogs - just perfect really! Will definitely return.
Sadie
This is a lovely property in a picturesque, very quiet location set well back away from the quiet lane behind the owners house and a secure gate. The views are spectacular in person, the pictures dont do them justice. There is fencing around the full garden in The Swan which has chicken wire up to the second level. This kept both of my Collies in, but I did supervise them as one is a 10month inquisitive pup.I took a long lead and a torch that I used after dark to avoid them going out of sight.
Helen
Stunning property with stunning views. Would certainly recommend this 5 accommodation. Fully equipped, everything you need and more . Spotless and extremely stylish. Very secure , spacious garden for dogs . Lots of great walks and pretty villages in the surrounding area with a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. Great host , very welcoming and generous. Just the right amount of contact , there if you need anything.
Donna

Robert
tranquil, peaceful and views that are stunning all way around the property.
Margaret
Lovely modern style cottage. Love the open plan. A view to die for. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day walking. We were blessed with sunshine so great for us. Cottage is comfortable with all modern conveniences. Our dogs enjoyed the large garden, although our setter is an arch escapologist so didn't entirely trust that she couldn't es cape, our other dog was fine. All in all a good experience.
Lynn
The location is stunning! Piers is the best host - has a perfect balance between being helpful and respecting his guest's privacy. we'll be back!
Neil
Great location for walking and visiting the coast. Grounds of property secure for dogs. Very quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was welcome after long treks over the moors.
Callum
What can we say, this property is something else! Me and my partner travel all over the UK on staycations to go site seeing and have stayed in many many B&Bs and self catering cottages and this by far trumps them all. It is clean and well equipped; and the location! Words cant describe. We will be coming back to this property hopefully year on year as it is just perfection! Trust me, you will not find a nicer place to stay! The host Piers and Apollo are also very welcoming and friendly!
Emily
We can not fault anything with regards to this holiday at all. Excellent host, accommodation and location. We were greeted with wine and sparkling water. The views were stunning and it was so peaceful relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring, listening to the different birds and watching the Hares in the neighbouring field. There were horse s and chickens too. Apollo the black Lab visited often for a fuss and was very friendly. Would highly recommend to friends and family.
Andrew
For wheelchair users: There is a slight lip when entering the property there is no seat in the shower so you may need to take your own if showering from the floor is an issue for you. The property is very spacious and we enjoyed our week stay. We will definitely be booking again.
Marion
We have just spent a wonderful week at Swan. It is totally idyllic. The cottage is warm, cosy, spacious and very well designed & furnished. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub despite the weather being a little chilly because the temperature was lovely. The shower is wonderful and everything we needed was provided. Piers was very welcoming and em ailed us some very useful suggestions for places to visit and places to eat in advance which was really helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Wayne
We may have been unlucky with wet & windy weather for our week off but were so fortunate to have spent it at the truly lovely Swan at Grace View. The positive reviews are so well deserved. We felt at home from the moment we stepped inside the spacious, well presented, perfectly equipped toasty warm lodge. The views from every angle are stunning eve n in the rain! Our cockapoo loved the secure garden and the horse neighbours. We cant wait to return.
Jane-anne
The place was fantastic. We loved every minute. The holiday was absolutely fantastic - such a beautiful area too. I have recommended it to at least 12 people already. Perfect for the dog too, although she barked a bit at the horses they just ignored her. Very friendly horses. We saw rabbits and hares in the field beyond and watched the snow come in over the mountains and over to us. Just enough to make it even prettier. Sat in the hot tub watching the snow and the stars.
Sally
Even after reading all the amazing reviews, I still wasnt expecting this place to be so stunning. The space was amazing and absolutely silent which is just what we needed. My 2 rescue bulldogs settled so well as it was so open and the outside space is the best I have found in 4 years for taking them away. Comfortable, clean and a perfect host. We w ere so lucky to get frosty weather and awesome sun rises from all angles
Tracy
This was our second vist and what can I say - it was perfect. Cosy, comfortable, warm and peaceful. There are loads of places to visit and the views are simply stunning. We even loved watching the mist roll in. The owners are a delight to deal with not that we had any problems. The outdoor space was perfect for our boy totally safe and secure. We w ould highly recommend the property and can't wait to return.
Michael
Beautiful, quiet & peaceful location, ideally placed for touring the area where there are some great places to visit. Dog friendly & secure garden with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. On arrival was given a warm welcome by the owner who was there if you needed him but otherwise unobtrusive.
Sophie
Fabulous cottage as good as the photos . Very clean , luxurious and comfortable. The views are spectacular and I loved the quiet and stars at night Garden is dog proof even our naughty puppy didnt escape and he did try Good walking country local town has all amenities you need Owner very helpful of needed and unobtrusive if not Would highly recomme nd its hotel standard with to die for views
Sharon
The most perfect and peaceful get away for a week. We have stayed in lots of places but this was dog friendly and luxury which isnt always easy to find. Do not hesitate to go. Piers is a lovely man and is there if needed. Wish I was still there as it was a perfect stay in beautiful surroundings.

Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW

Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Big Sheep - EX39 5AP
about 21 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Yorkshire Lavender - YO60 6PB
about 23 Miles
Yorkshire Lavender is an amazing award winning attraction offering breathtaking panoramic views of York, a Café, Plant Nursery and Lavender Gardens. The 60 acre site is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an excellent choice for a day trip. The onsite shops sells Lavender products such as bath and body treats, skincare, medicine and herbal remedies.
Castle Howard - YO60 7DA
about 24 Miles
Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 25 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
The Grainary Wildlife Farm - YO25 3HS
about 25 Miles
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 29 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
