Nearby Thirsk (6 miles) boasts a quaint marketplace, splendid Georgian buildings, a Norman church and excellent pubs, shops, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre. The cathedral city of York (21 miles) is within easy driving distance, making Sessay a lovely little rural escape to return to after a busy day of exploring.

A lovely drive up Sutton Bank takes you to Rievaulx Abbey (15 miles) or continue on to the pretty town of Helmsley (16 miles), whilst a little further will bring you to the dramatic Yorkshire coastline. Upon arrival, you will find off-road parking and a generous rear patio garden and a well-kept front garden.

Unload your car and head inside from the rear into a handy vestibule where you can leave muddy boots and coats, great for when you return from a walk.
