Gwel An Godrevy Reviews

Absolutely beautiful property and a wonderful time spent here with my family my ... Absolutely beautiful property and a wonderful time spent here with my family my if I was to be slightly critical the outside area could maybe do with a jet wash just to bring it up to the immaculate standard of the property this would not have to be done that frequently just every few years just to keep on top of the grime and weathering that has built up over the years on the patio floor and border brickwork but this is not taking anything away from the property that is superb thanks
We regularly visit Carbis Bay and have stayed in many different types of accommodation. We favoured booking Gwel an Godrevy primarily due to the Hot Tub. This addition is favoured by the whole family, sadly after 2 days of being at the property the hot tub started to gather a brown scum on the surface. As hot tub owners it then became apparent the tub was not cleaned prior to our arrival and even through several phone calls the tub was not cleaned until the morning of our departure. On top of this, the entire outside space was very dirty Very disappointing and thereby would not return. The interior is perfectly pleasant with a lovely view from the lounge but not worth the additional cost for outside space and hot tub.

Property looked tired. Views over car park. Generally dark inside. Average fittings. Overpriced compared to Starboard just below.
Very disappointed with the hot tub situation which we were only able to use about 4 days out of 7. Also extremely disappointed to having them claim the good housekeeping bond for a mattress, a childs mattress that had a useless protector on and not a waterproof protector which if are a good quality one they are very comfortable and not noisy, which is why they said they dont supply them. Im sure most customers would agree instead of being charged hundreds of pounds they would prefer a waterproof cover.
Very nice house with amazing views, we really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable with everything we needed. The Hot tub was really enjoyed and regularly maintained during our stay.
Aditya
Very spacious, clean, modern, and well equipped, with incredible views and a very convenient location. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely recommend.
Wonderful place with amazing views! Would happily come here again! Hot tub was icing on the cake
Absolutely stunning holiday home. We enjoyed every minute celebrating our Honeymoon here and would defiantly like to come back.
Fantastic apartment with great views Everything you needed was provided Close to supermarket
A truly fantastic holiday apartment with everything you could wish for! !! Handy for long walks into St Ives, and then hop on the train back home, if your feeling a little bit tired. Station a short 5 minute walk from holiday apartment To have 3 wonderful bedrooms with own bathrooms again, was a bonus, all with the tvs as well. The size of the apartment was amazing with ample room for everyone. Added to which the hot tub was really appreciated. To celebrate my sons 50th in this splendid Apartment was the icing on his birthday cake!!!! We will definitely be booking t
The check in and check out times actually make the holiday more like 6days not 7 days. The crockery needs checking for the correct quantities, only 4 mugs for example. The ventilator in the upstairs bathroom needs attention. We were hoping to stay an additional 3 nights but the charge was only 1.00 less than a full week. The property appeared on the website to be be available. We would have happily paid the pro rate weekly rate. There were only 2 of us and there would have been no additional cleaning, linen etc, disappointing. The property is in a fabulous position for views as well as easy access to the beach and walking opportunities and has the bonus of the hot tub. The parking is less than ideal but manageable but the bigger cars get it could prove an issue.

Fabulous stay in an excellent property. We all loved it! Would be great to include a coffee maker. Very sticky front door needs attention.
The house was lovely, however, a few issues on arrival, mainly the hottub. Water quality poor. Maintenance person turning up at 7am most days, disturbing us, thinking we had been broken into with someone walking around upstairs when we in bed. It got to the point we didnt want to use the hot tub. It was filthy inside and grime all on the seats. It had taken the shine off the holiday that we paid a premium for and was looking forward to. Another example was the back door handle was broken and although fixed, could not lock the door. Could not get through to anyone as phoning was a waste of time!
Amazing house with everything you needalthough couldn't find bbq as advertised . Beautiful soft furnishings and quality products. Only downside was checking in and out times where ridiculous for price paid.
The holiday home is second to none with amazing views. The apartment is finished to a very high standard and is so clean and well equipped. Great location also.
Fabulous house, wonderful views and sun terrace and hot tub were an added bonus
Great accomodation clean, good facilities and very spacious. The arrangements for returning the security deposit are too complicated two emails and Im expecting another one later on with some sort of link. Messy.
Holiday was lovely. Great weather. House was very comfortable with fabulous view of Carbis Bay. Only negative was the hot tub man arriving at 7am several mornings as it was incredibly noisy if you are in the first floor bedroom. Would recommend this property though and Carbis Bay Holidays
Review
We booked last minute and we were delighted with the efficiency and if possible even more delighted with Gwel An Godrevy. This property has everything, modern and light, warm, fabulous views, good appliances and a real bonus of a hot tub. We used it every evening, what a treat in January. The property is well placed for some good walking some directly from the property and others just a short drive away. If this is what is on offer in January it beats airports any day!Mary Turrell

Gwel An Godrevy is an absolute gem. A fantastic, luxurious house with amazing views and a 5 minute walk from a beautiful beach. It is the best equipped holiday house we have ever stayed in and has great outside storage for bikes, surf boards etc. The hot tub is an added bonus. We loved our holiday here, our kids did not want to leave this house. Carbis Bay Holidays were also very friendly and easy to deal with. We hope to return.
