Sandbanks Reviews

Great property in the perfect location, we had a wonderful holiday. I would recommend a gate for the driveway as the front garden space is difficult to use with a dog or young children. Also the water pressure in the shower for the master bedroom en suite is too low. Minor details because everything else was perfect. Would love to have booked again next year but booked already.
Sheila
The house was brilliant! The owners have obviously thought of everything we wanted for nothing! Can't recommend it enough thank you for a great holiday.
Howard
Beautiful property So near the beach Grand kids & dog loved it ! Perfect holiday Thank you
We had a problem with the safe. Left a note. Couldnt make it work which was annoying Apart from that it was fine Great location
Modern cottage with very good facilities. Close to beach. Well furnished. Excellent stay!
The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. Plenty of space for 10 people with beautiful views from the balcony. We will definitely be back.
Lovely, clean l, comfortable property. Will return
Wonderful can't think of anything negative about our holiday or Sandbanks
Wonderful place to stay, in a super location. Ideal for what we needed. The house was fully equipped for our stay, sauna and hot tub were particularly welcome. Lovely welcome basket was so appreciated. Even with 8 adults and 4 kids the big open rooms and spaces still gave us our own space and not feeling on top of each other. Big open rooms and spaces
Would love to have had use of the barbecue, did not know it wasn't available 9 months of the year. Extremely clean and lots of thoughtful touches. Really beautiful property and attentive management
Abigail
Beautiful house and perfect location to walk to the beach. Close to the restaurant and beachside bar as well. Hot tub and sauna were fantastic addition to the house.
Sandbanks is an amazing house. We didn't want to leave. Kids loved the hot tub and the games cupboard. House was spotlessly clean. Everything you could need and wish for in a perfect holiday home. We usually stay at St. Ives but will definitely return to Sandbanks. Thanks again The Clark's
A lovely high standard property in a lovely part of the world. Thoroughly recommended.
Rachel
Fabulous, so much so we are already looking to book again. Location is perfect and the house amenities top. Loved the hot tub.
Property is perfect, comfortable and in a superb location. We were not very lucky with the weather but still had a great time with our dog. Lovely family break.
We had the most amazing time! We were six family members plus a toddler and a dog. We were blessed with wonderful weather and made full use of the garden including BBQ and a brand new pizza oven. I contacted the owner prior to our visit as my husband has recently developed osteoarthritis and needed an extra stair rail on the main stairs and he was wonderfully understanding . He duly fitted an extra rail and we can't thank him enough! So kind.
Cameron
Lovely property in a stunning location. We were a party of 10 6 adults and 4 children and the twin bedded rooms on the middle floor worked perfectly for the little ones with their parents safely tucked away downstairs and grandparents in the 1st floor feature main bedroom We used hot tub, sauna and barbecue on a number of occasions particularly after a long day on the beach when the kids were bit chilly after many hours body boarding. House was well equipped throughout with coffee and ice machine 2 fridge freezers to cater for the chilled drinks! Everything clean, well maintained and finished to a high standard. Thank you for a lovely week
Sandbanks proved very spacious for our group of 9! Pleasently surprised at the huge 1st floor lounge with sea views. The hot tub was most welcome after a day out. We didn't manage to try out the sauna, next time? Great location for exploring Cornwall's coastline.
We were a party of 7 & 2 year old grandson & 2 dogs, The house was perfect for us all, large garden, large living spaces. Everything was there including an ice maker Everyone loved the beach too, & peaceful just what we wanted xx
Really lovely holiday home, great communication from the host. Had everything we needed. Many thanks!

Samantha
A fantastic place to stay. We stayed for Christmas and loved the Christmas decorations and presents left, that was a great touch. Great location also.
Proper outside lights for back garden child gate would be useful considering number of stairs. Hairdryer would be a useful addition Maybe a small fence to provide more privacy whilst using hot tub as users can be seen by pedestrians and bus passengers.
Samantha
We had a fantastic week at Sandbanks. We were a group of 6 adults 3 dogs and there was plenty of room for us all. The 2 fridge freezers was a great idea as we'd have struggled to fit everything in the one with the beer and prosecco we needed to keep cool! The ice machine was a nice surprise! The house was spotless when we arrived thank you Kirsty and there was plenty of cleaning productsequipment to keep it that way. The hot tub was used everyday by us all and was greatly appreciated after days out to Penzance, Newquay, St Ives, Minack Theatre, Truro, Mousehole, Porthleven, Hayle etc. The house was perfectly situated by the beach and for sightseeing too. The only little quibble I had was that there was no shower gels or shampoos in the bathrooms, only liquid hand gels. This wasn't a problem for us as we had our own but some people may expect it to be there. All in all we had a fabulous time at Sandbanks and loved Cornwall. Thank you.
Lovely place to stay. Only downfall was the restricted access to dogs on the beach most annoying and affected us greatly. However, Sandbanks was truly lovely no complaints at all. Good location for access to many other places. We appreciated the smart TV although you can't get live on iTV hub.
The house is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. The housekeeper was very good letting us know that we could get into the house early and giving us information. Our only observation is that there are not enough chairs for a large family to all sit together comfortably. There were seven of us staying and it was fine, but in the living room it would be nice to have some more chairs so we aren't all sat in a row. Also some instructions for the TV, none of us have Sky so we never really worked out how to watch the TV properly. We would recommend the house to others, the hot tub was very nice to have as an extra facility.
This fabulous house fitted our multi family party perfectly. We were 8 adults 1 child 1 baby and 2 dogs. All the bedrooms were bright, clean, modern, and there were enough bathrooms. We enjoyed using all the living areas again clean, bright and comfortable. The hot tub proved popular with everyone even when the weather was dubious. The location of the house was ideal for exploring the Penzance area and just across the road was the beach and some lovely dog walking.
This is an excellent property and in a fantastic location. well laid out for large families including dogs. We booked for my birthday with the now grownup children and their partners. Perfect for this. Big tick for the cleaners as the place looked spanking new. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and the living accommodation is exceptional. Will book again.
Amarjit
Very nice property, just few minutes away from the sea
As the property accommodates 10 then it would be more comfortable if there was enough seating for all in the living room. We did bring a couple of floor cushions with us after reading the reviews commenting about seating but it would have been preferable if some didnt have to sit on the floor to watch a movie together. Also a bigger table that actually seats 10 would have been nicer as 2 had to take turns sitting at the worktop with no leg space or sit with their backs to the rest of the party to eat meals together. Great to have so much fridge space. Providing a second fridge freezer was a brilliant idea as there is no way we could have fitted in the food we bought in just the one. Beds were very comfortable, towels lovely. The large walkin wardrobe in the master bedroom was like a small room. Hot tub was a hit and the front was a heat trap when the sun was out, which was lovely. On some days though there were builders working at height on the house next door, so felt a bit overlooked. Would have been nice to have been warned about this. There were no extra bin bags so had to buy some. Having a good working vacuum cleaner was great. Overall a great property. Proximity to beach and a lovely ice cream shop and cafe was a boon. We will book again.
Fabulous property in a great location. Owner couldn't have been more helpful. There was an issue with the drive completely out of their control and they were so proactive in getting it resolved. Kitchen space is a great communal space and is very well equipped. We had a lovely meal in there for New Year. Beach so close and great for letting the dogs run. Watching an amazing kite surfer and would love to visit in summer. Master bedroom with balcony is fab and lovely to sit out, even though cold. Only v minor criticism was we struggled a bit with patio doors sliding but i think this is possibly just due to the sea air.
We had a fantastic christmas holiday at Sandbanks, the facilities are superb, and location just perfect. The hot tub was amazing and enjoyed by all. To assist with feedback the only thing I would say is that if there are three generations staying, like us the house would benefit from some comfortable high back armchairs in the kitchen seating area it was great to be cooking etc in the kitchen with family in the lounge area chatting, playing games etc but limited comfortable seating and the lounge also needed a couple of armchairs small settee to accommodate family.
Christine
This is a great property, so close to the beach. It is modern and well equipped, owners and property managers very helpful and ensured we were comfortable.
Property lovely, views great from the lounge and master bedroom. Beds really comfortable and despite being NovDec the house was lovely and warm. The two fridge freezers were particularly useful with 6 of us.on site parking was good, sufficient for three cars if needed . Location so near the beach was lovely and so good as we had a dog. Food store and general anything store within walking distance for any day to day needs, milk , papers etc. lovely beach cafe restaurant a short walk towards the beach with great food. Safe spacious back garden for dogs. Would recommend this highly for a relaxed holiday. We had a delivery from supermarket for day we arrived, very useful.
Frances
We absolutely loved your beautiful house and felt very privileged to stay there ... We absolutely loved your beautiful house and felt very privileged to stay there , everything was perfect , the only thing I would suggest would be that the bath towels should be bigger, not a huge problem but would expect luxury with those as the rest of the facilities were pure luxury
Michaela
Great property for a large family or two families wanting a Cornish holiday a stones throw from a beautiful Sandy beach. Immaculately clean and pretty well equipped. The hot tub was a hit too. For a property of this size and for the price paid it lacked seating on the BBQ decking only 6 seats on quite a small decking. The sofas werent very comfortable, the lounge would benefit from a couple of arm chairs. The towels were quite small, a Bath sheet for each person would have been helpful. The beds werent particularly comfortable, the mattresses would benefit from an additional topper. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely book this property again.
Great Holiday house in great location!
Leslie
Sandbanks proved to be the perfect property for what was a wonderful relaxing family bucket & spade holiday. A superb, wellequipped house for a large family group, presented in pristine condition and perfectly located for easy beach access. The hot tub was a real treat and the barbecuedining area ideal for the fantastic weather we enjoyed.
