Rhos Helyg Reviews

A lovely cottage. We had trouble with the drains initially but the owner sorted it out quickly. We all enjoyed our stay.
We have just spent a wonderful sunny week in Anglesey at this lovely property. Our dogs loved the garden and we loved the hot tub! Had an exciting evening when the power went off. Michelle was there straight away with extra wood for the fire and torches for the dark. Scottish power were there to fix the fault within a few hours. Thank you Michelle for being there promptly and making sure we were all ok. Well maintained, clean and tastefully decorated property with a caring owner close by. Thank you
Alison
A fantastic weekend, lovely accommodation. Great views, great surroundings. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our weekend at Rhos Helyg. Stayed with family for my partner's 30th birthday and it was the perfect house to relax and celebrate. The outdoor space and views are truly stunning, all topped off by being able to enjoy it from the hot tub. Beds comfortable. Good location on the island. Kitchen full of all necessary equipment. Only slight negative didn't effect our trip at all but just worth a mention is on the listing it says ground floor shower room and first floor bathroom with shower & bath but both showers were actually on the ground floor. The first floor with 2 kingsize beds & twin rooms has a toilet & basin room but no shower. Otherwise pretty perfect stay and would love to come back on another family trip
We had a great week at the house. It was clean and spacious and had everything you needed. The views were stunning but still only a few minutes away from amenities. The information provided before we arrived was extremely useful, especially directions to the property. The owners were very helpful and the gift of cake, prosecco and milk and a treat for the dog was a nice touch. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent accommodation with first rate facilities. The jacuzzi was an added bonus. Good location for all the beautiful beaches and good walks. Near to good shops. Whats not to like.
Louise
We had an excellent time at the property, any concerns were flagged directly to the owners who responded within hours and were always polite and helpful. The links to the guest book provided information for us prior to arrival which need review as they reference COVID still and some of the documented things weren't available, which didn't impact on our stay as the weather was glorious and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Ensure that you follow the owners directions on the website else you will end up lost! Would definitely recommend.
Lovely place and great hosts would definitely stay again
We had a lovely week at Rhos helyg, the house was very clean , spacious and comfortable . our dogs loved running around in the garden which was very secure. We only managed to use the hot tub a few times due to the weather but it was kept clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend a stay here .
Sharon
Absolutely stunning. The thought that has gone into every little detail is unbelievable, even down to entertainment for the children just brilliant we had a lovely stay thank you.
Andrea
Lovely house, it was as described. We loved the little touches they left for us and our dog. Hot tub was used every day, plenty of facilities for the family. Beautiful views from the property. We all enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.
There was not an EV charger a twin 13 amp external plug is not a charger system! Few cars have 13amp plugs and we had two EVs neither having that system. Consequently we had to rely on a vary sparse and unreliable ev charging system on the island. This caused stress and time wasting. We may look to book with you next year but I will require confirmation of the make of charger, whether it is tethered has type 2cable or untethered no cable and a photograph. I will not wait for the owner handbook which is misleading. We booked a different property last year and were told there was an EV charger but that didnt work until halfway through the holiday as the owner had to contact the supplier!! It really isnt good enough in these poorly serviced areas no problem in mainland England and even Wales is acceptable.
Very clean and comfortable property. Had all the facilities you could wish for. The area was beautiful, and very peaceful. Nice touch having a cake and a bottle of fizz waiting for us, and our dog appreciated his treat that was left for him. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider returning without hesitation.

Everything was perfect. Very friendly hosts who gave lots of information before and during the stay. Comfy beds, clean rooms, hot tub was lovely! It has everything supplied and more. Oven was hot and quick to cook, dishwasher useful and loved the living room doors onto the stunning views. 5 mins drive to local pub, not really one in walking distance, 15 mins to lovely beaches. Would return! Thank you for the lovely cake, milk and prosecco on arrival, a kind touch.
We are a family 6 adults and 4 children,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean ,lovely and quiet with Brilliant views. The beds were very comfortable and everything you would need to enjoy our stay.Thank Michelle and Alun ,your updates and information provided before we arrived was very useful and any issues We had problem getting into keypad but response was quick.Would definitely be back and would recommend this property
We all enjoyed our week this is our second visit to Rhos. Helyg . Now that we are back home we are missing the peaceful garden and hot tub . Thank you for the cake and Prosecco that was very welcome on our arrival . Would love to stay again
What a lovely family weekend we had at Rhos Helyg. Facilities were fabulous with everything you could ask for. Lovely setting with great views to the back of the property. Plenty of room to park our cars we brought 3. Hot tub was well used as the weather was fine the whole of our stay. Nice touch with Milk, cake and Prosecco left. Would definitely stay again. Thanks again Grice Family and dog.

We have just returned from Wales and had a wonderful stay. From start to finish we cannot fault this accommodation spotlessly clean, warm and super comfy. We are 2 families of 4 with 2 dogs and there was so much space for us all. Bedrooms all roomy and super comfy beds. Nice big garden which the dogs loved. Communication from the owners has been fantastic and we loved the accommodation guidebook jam packed with all the info we needed. Owners have thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable and like other reviews the fizz, cake and milk was a nice welcome. Only downside for us was the hot tub not being available most of our stay. Kids were looking forward to a dip as was the adults after a day out.
Had a great week at Rhos Helyg with the family. Plenty of space so we weren't under each other feet when the weather stopped us going out. Beds very comfy and our Daughters family stayed in the downstairs bedrooms and none of us upstairs ever heard their baby crying once during the nights so good soundproofing.
What a fabulous place to stay
Debbie
Gorgeous property. Loved the hot tub & huge garden for the dogs. We enjoyed a lovely family weekend.
The best quite stay for my birthday. owners were super helpful when we was there and left a nice treat Prosecco and cake which was throughly enjoyed. beautiful beach not far will definitely be returning and super nice views all round 1010

Absolutely incredible place to stay. I booked for new years with family and the children. The house and views behind are stunning, beds are comfortable, kitchen stocked with everything you could need, lots of games to keep the kids entertained. Couldnt spend too much time in the hot tub due to the horrendous wind but still managed to use it while we were there. Had the most incredible time and couldnt recommend enough.
Beautiful house in a gorgeous area. Rooms very spacious.Hot tub was amazing and well maintained. Lovely gesture from the owners when we arrived of a lemon cake and Prosecco. Thankyou to the owners for the Christmas decorations which were a lovely surprise.Everyone loved it and we are all hoping to return again next year. Thankyou!
This was our second time coming to RHOS HELG for my birthday, I dont know where to begin, the Prosecco, milk and cake on arrival was just lovely. The beds are so comfy, the views are breathtaking and the hot tub is so well maintained. Michelle and Alun are great owners and nothing is a problem. I would recommend this cottage to anybody, its a great location. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Wonderfully laid out and spacious. Stunning views, peaceful location and nice and private. Weve had a super stay, loved the hot tub in the evenings and that there was a bbq and plenty of seating areas. There were only the two of us and our two small dogs but Id definitely come again with more family as all the rooms are good sizes and the property layout means you can all have your own space when required. The owners are very thoughtful and kind. Lovely neutral decor throughout. Id recommend visiting Plas newydd gardens, bodnant gardens and Llandudno, and Id also recommend the 5 The Tavern on the Bay to eat. There are so many beaches and little towns to discover the views across the Menai straight are just breathtaking. Its been a perfect location to stay for exploring across all of Anglesey, Holyhead and even a little more. We happily spent afternoons in the garden and relaxing at the accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped for any home cooking but with larger groups Id definitely have taken advantage of the bbq and large enclosed garden
Mollie
The house was absolutely gorgeous and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. This is in such a gorgeous area in North Wales, around 25 minute drive Rhoseiger which we loved. Beautiful views whilst in the hot tub in the evening, and enjoying a morning coffee.
This is a stunning property with views over Parys Mountain. Very comfortable stay with large garden & hot tub. The hosts were great & prosecco & cake on arrival was a lovely touch. We had a great holiday. Thanks.
This house is perfect for large numbers and young children. It was clean and well maintained. The bottle off wine and really nice cake on arrival was a nice surprise, as was a litre off milk in the fridge with plenty of tea and coffee for days. The location is perfect nice and quiet and only a short drive to every corner off anglesey.
The house is great with plenty of space for 10 of us in comfort. Location for sheltered east coast beaches is perfect. The hot tub is a very special treat. Our only additional wish would be for a tumble dryer. After a week with plenty of rain we struggled to dry out clothing as we dare not hang clothing outdoors because of persistent showers. A dryer would be the icing on the cake!
Dorothy
Had a great time. The property is lovely with great facilities and wonderful views.
Very comfortable , very clean and everything worked A great place to stay for a large family
If access to garden and hot tub area could be improved for disabled individuals i. E. ramp rather than steps. Also whether second bedroom downstairs could have a double or twin beds instead of bunk beds.
Ciaran
The house was perfect for our family, it had everything we needed for a holiday. Great views over the countryside with good outside space to relax
Cannot express how amazing the house was! There was Prosecco, cake and milk awaiting our arrival. We were notified that we could access the property an hour earlier which may not sound like much to some people but it meant a lot to us I can tell you. The house is beautiful, comfy beds, luxury towels, spotlessly clean. Plenty of seating options, fabulous hot tub! Gorgeous kitchen with everything you could think of. My advice for anyone staying here is read the house manual! Cleverly its downloadable and it has everything in it that you need or want to know. I had the pleasure of meeting Alun one morning and we had a lovely conversation despite my dog deciding he was going to be boisterous throughout! 100 recommend.
Claire
Fantastic stay! Lovely property and friendly owners. Sykes experience from start to finish was excellent.
Mahesh
