The Herun

We loved everything about The Herun. It was a beautifully furnished, well equipped home with all our groups needs well met. We loved the wood burner and cosying up in an evening. Felt just lovely being here. We didn't want to leave!

A wonderful holiday home in a grat position in Rhosneigr. Fitted out to a really high standard. Super comfortable for the two of us and 2 dogs.

The Herun is a lovely property perfectly positioned to enjoy the beaches, restaurants and cafes in Rhosneigr. We arrived at the beginning of a bad storm, so it was lovely to be greeted with lights on and relaxing music playing in the beautifully warm cosy lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and having an en suite in each bedroom was a bonus. Unfortunately the weather stopped us enjoying the hot tub perhaps next time!

Great location , lovely house with log burner and hot tub , owners left a great welcome pack and were very responsive to messages and checked in on how we were finding the house throughout the stay .

Brilliant location, 2 mins from beach, 2 mins from restaurants in town, 10 mins to Holyhead. 10 mins walk on beach and at oystercatcher its perfect. Will be looking at booking again for sure. 1010

We had an absolutely amazing time at The Herun. The property is beautiful and ideal for everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break away. We went as a family and with our dog and took full advantage of the cosy and relaxing amenities, we will definitely be looking to return as we love Rhosneigr and the herun had everything we needed to make the most of our holiday.

The Herun is the perfect home from home offering everything you could need and want from EV charging point to log burner to hot tub. There were some lovely welcoming touches and its clearly a property that is very well looked after. Its very close to the beach and local restaurantscafesshops and bars so very convenient if you want to leave the car on the drive. A great stay, would highly recommend and we will return Im sure its a very different experience again in Summer.

We had an amazing time at The Herun in Rhosneigr. The place is beautifully finished, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for any kind of weather. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day out, and the log burner made evenings lovely Its also in a great spot close to lovely beaches, great walks, and plenty of places to eat. Honestly, its one of the nicest holiday homes weve stayed in. Cant wait go back. Outstanding!

We have just returned from another fabulous week staying at the herun. The property is stunning in a superb location. The jacuzzi is lovely to relax in. Chris and Gail are always on hand if needed. We love staying here and will definitely be rebooking. Tom and Paula

This property is absolutely stunning. The photos dont do it justice. We had a lovely stay. It really was a home from home with everything you could possibly need. The owners were on hand in case of any issues there werent. The location is perfect too near the beach, pub and choice of restaurants locally. We can recommend the blue olive for tapas. We will definitely be booking here again

Beautiful holiday home, kept to a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we have booked to return next year. Its well equipped and very comfortable and the hot tub provides that added extra for an extremely relaxing break.

The Herun is by far the best cottage we have stayed in! Very well equipped, comfortable, clean and modern. We had a relaxing stay, which is just what we wanted. There are two lovely beaches a short walk away and Maelog Lake which were all great for walking our dog. We also visited Newborough Forest and beach and Treaddur Bay during our stay, both only 25 minutes drive away. The Oyster Catcher restaurant was lovely and very dog friendly and only 10 minutes walk from the house.

This was our second visit to The Herun and we booked again for next year when we returned home. The facilities and standards at the property were first rate and it is ideally located within Rhosneigr with access to beaches and restaurants within easy walking distance and is also conveniently situated for exploring Anglesey. Well worth its 5 star rating with the hot tub a great amenity after days out

The Herun is a stunning property. Probably the best we've stayed in. Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Very modern, with all the amenities you would expect. It has a lovely enclosed rear garden which our dog loved too. Chris and Gail the owners kept in touch, ensuring all was going well and we didn't need anything. The perfect cottage and location for a wonderful Easter stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need, would definitely stay again in the future. A lovely welcome pack and only 510 minutes walk up the road to the town and the beach, we loved it. 5 stars from us thank you

As soon as we entered Herun we had a Wow moment. The house was wonderful. One of the best we have stayed in. I was here with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. The weather was perfect. Sunshine all week. The house was extremely well laid out and furnished with everything you would need on holiday. We will certainly try to come back for another holiday in the future. 5 star from all of us!

We loved our time staying at the Herun in Rhosneigr. The property is gorgeous, tastefully decorated and furnished, with underfloor heating keeping us lovely and warm. Lovely touches included a generous welcome pack with chocolates and biscuits, soap and shampoo in every shower each bathroom is beautifully finished and towels for the hot tub, which was an added luxury. The owners replied very promptly and were really friendly when we contacted them during our stay. The whole place was clean, bright and very relaxing just what we needed after our long walks along the coast. I really cant fault anything from the friendly team with our initial booking right the way through to our departure, everything was so easy and perfect we didnt want to leave. The Herun is in a great location would definitely recommend a meal at the Blue Olive just a few minutes walk in distance, near to shops, cafes and the beach. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely book again

We have just returned from a fabulous break staying at The Herun. The property was outstanding and furnished to the highest standards. We were all warm and cosy throughout the stay with the luxury of under floor heating and the use of the log burner. Rhosneigr is a beautiful coastal village where we were able to walk on the lovely beaches and sample excellent food in the local restaurants, all within easy walking distance. A perfect winter getaway!

We loved our stay and the accommodation and host ensured we had all that we needed and were comfortable, we would defiantly stay again. The electric charging point was a bonus too and it worked really well. Thank you.

What a fantastic place! Everything was spotless and finished to such a high standard. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and sitting by the log burner in the evenings listening to the rain and wind pure bliss. Perfect location with plenty of activities and places to eat and drink within walking distance. The quality throughout was first class, with everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway. We had a wonderful stay at the Herun in beautiful Rhosneigr, a very dog friendly location. The house was spotlessly clean and had the real wow factor when you walked in. Super comfortable beds, every bedroom ensuite so plenty of bathroom facilities. The house was well equipped with everything you could think of for the kitchen and a comfortable, huge sofa. Such a gorgeous house to spend time in between hours on the lovely beach. The hot tub was perfect, this was the highlight of the house for us. We received a welcome text from the owners when we arrived and would like to extend our huge thanks for accepting us and our little dogs. We'd love to holiday at The Herun again and would highly recommended it, there was nothing we could fault.

A first rate property in an excellent location, it has been furnished to a high standard and the owners have provided everything you could require and it was spotlessly clean on arrival Our dog enjoyed the enclosed rear garden area whilst we relaxed in the hot tub which we were able to do daily as we were fortunate to have good weather The house is within easy walking distance of beaches and a number of dining options I mistakenly thought there was an issue with the hot tub and the owners who live nearby were very responsive in resolving the issue We are planning to return in 2025.

The Herun is a most delightful place to stay. There is everything you need to give you a really wonderful holiday. From the comfortable beds to the extremely easy to use hot tub. I was a little concerned about the height of the walls because my Gordon Setter could have easily jumped over them, however fencing was provided to the rear of the garden which enabled me to allow him to freedom without worry. The only thing I felt was missing was information on the area. It would have been lovely to have some brochures available for us to look through and plan our week. As we were new to the area we had no idea what was around us, which place is the dog friendly and which eating places were recommended. Anybody lucky enough to stay at the Herun would certainly not be disappointed. It deserved the five star rating it has.

We had a wonderful week in The Herun, despite the two storms we found the property to be very comfortable and cosy. It had everything you could possibly need, the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need to prepare your meals, and the bathrooms all felt very modern and luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and made for a wonderful nights sleep. The owners were lovely, leaving us a brilliant welcome pack, and they texted us on the first day to check we were happy with everything. We were very impressed with the under floor heating especially since the weather was so cold and wet! This property has the fanciest hot tub we have ever had in a holiday home, and i was very sad to leave it behind at the end of the week! All in all, i think this is the best property we have ever stayed in and we would love to come visit again.

This is one of the best properties we have stayed in on Anglesey. our second time here and will definitely be back. The owners have thought of everything.

The Herun is by far the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in in the UKeverything in the property is of the highest qualitybeds,bedding,furniture,kitchen equipment. .the sofa is extremely comfy and we all enjoyed watching tv in front of the lovely log burner.The hot tub was used every daynight and the garden was secure for our dogs. The owners have thought of everything that you could possibly need for a self catered holiday and should be extremely proud of it. One suggestion would be maybe some kind of shelter over the hot tub so that it can still be used even when its raining. We would definitely love to return someday..the bar has been set very high for any future property we stay in around the uk now

One of the best homes we have stayed in and we holiday 3 times a year in the UK. Stylish, comfortable, well thought out...even the fencing off of the garden. Loved the open plan aspect and all the right equipment we needed. Highly recommended

This is our second stay at The Herun and we still love it. It really has a beautiful homely feel and the owners have done an amazing job. The hot tub and outside shower were very well used and we will be back.

The Herun was an excellent holiday property. Extremely clean, spacious and well laid out with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. The large kitchendining area and super walk in showers are particularly good. Just one point, my husband struggled with the lounge sofa, which was soft and low, another lounge chair would be perfect but thats just our age! Excellent central village location too with ample parking

The Herun is a superb property that has been very thoughtfully designed to make your holiday a great experience. With high quality fixtures and equipment throughout and exceptional cleanliness, you certainly get a luxury break in lovely Rhosneigr. We all loved our bedrooms, each with its own gorgeous bathroom, and the communal space was great for family time. The kids loved the hot tub and eating at the kitchen Island. The kitchen was well equipped with excellent quality cutlery, crockery, knives, pans etc. The garden was a great outdoor space. Big enough but not too much, so we always had our dog in our sight. The front gates keep everyone in and are very easy to operate. The garden is dog proof for most normal dogs, but Sammy didnt disappoint and still managed to get out on one occasion by jumping over the front garden wall. Fortunately, he walked round to the gate for us to let him back in. The bungalow has a real Mediterranean feel, inside and out, and is in a great location. The owners leave their details and are very contactable if needed. Rhosneigr has plenty of places to eat and theres a good shop. There are 3 beaches, all within easy reach, and nowhere felt overly crowded even though it was high season. We had a fantastic holiday and would recommend the Herun very highly.
