When the weather is warmer, open up the French doors to the enclosed garden and whip out the barbecue to enjoy a perfect summer feast on the picnic table while the children and dogs run around the lawn. End your night with a quick rinse under the rainfall shower before slipping into a cushy king-sized bed in the master bedroom.

You’ll find a handful of amenities at your disposal in the local town of Bala such as The Goat / Yr Afr pub offering heartwarming meals and a beer garden to enjoy your food outside when the weather permits. You’ll also find some supermarkets to stock up the fridge and a collection of boutiques for all of your shopping needs.

You won’t have to travel far to find fun activities as nearby there is Bala Adventure and Watersports Centre, where you can do canoeing/kayaking, climbing/abseiling, or hire a boat to sail across Bala Lake, the largest natural lake in Wales. There’s also Bala Lake Railway Station, where you’ll take a lovely nine-mile return journey alongside Bala Lake, through the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, and lastly Byd Mary Jones World, a heritage museum which tells the story of Mary Jones through interactive displays, exhibits and activities.

Gwynfa Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay with our 2 working cocker spaniels. Beautifully decorated with very comfortable seating & beds. Great floor surfaces for the dogs, easy parking, well equipped kitchen, good sized garden, in a very peaceful location with great walks from the front door. The dogs enjoyed some complimentary dog biscuits and the underfloor heating
