Isallt Reviews

Adrian
We recently stayed at the beautiful Isallt and wow! We have visited north Wales many times and this is hands down the best place we've stayed for so many reasons! The cottage itself was very clean, tidy, lots of space, everything you could possibly need cutlery, plates, washing up items, towels, the list goes on. Best shower ever! All the beds were very comfortable, the main bed being exceptional! Very lovely decor, nice and cosy, and love the little homely touches around! It is also situated on a working farm which was lovely, our 5 year old daughter loved seeing the animals around and the tractor! Hot tub outside was just glorious to unwind in after a busy day! There was also lots of things near by, shops, food places, Harlech castle! And a wonderful beach pretty much opposite, our daughter enjoyed collecting many shells from there, as well as me and my partner of 10years getting engaged whilst there!! Was a wonderful day with exceptional views all around! Highly recommend this property and we will be back for definite, thanks for a brilliant stay!
There is nothing to fault about this place. Well equipped, silent all the time, close to the various walks. The powerful hot shower and hot tub was wonderful to return to after a long day hiking. The bed was very comfy.
Charlotte
We had a great stay at the cottage. We enjoyed staying on a working farm and especially liked the visits from the chickens, cat and dog. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our week away. Thank you
Very clean well maintained property enjoyed our stay very much liked the hot tub finished the day off thanks Nigel.
Beautiful cosy place to stay.
We had a really lovely stay at Isallt. The cottage was everything we had hoped for. The hot tub was welcome after a day's walking! Sarah was really friendly and helpful. We would recommend this cottage to anyone. Loved seeing the chickens wandering around coming to the gate to say hello!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Isallt. Everything was as good or even better than expected. The owners were very responsive, friendly and helpful. Our dog felt right at home straight away. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a Snowdonia getaway right by the sea.
Sophie
Friendly hosts who left us to get on with our holiday but were available if we needed them and always smiledwaved when passing.
Christine
We had a wonderful stay in the cottage it was spotless on arrival . The cottage is very cosy . The jacuzzi was amazing so warm and relaxing . The double bed was so comfy . But the single beds if a adult sleeping in them were not as comfy.. The cows next to the cottage were a delight. Loved seeing them in the morning The beach nearby is glorious Easy access to wonderful barmouth and Harlech and porthmadog . We had a wonderful stay would recommend. Only thing we missed was a welcome pack as if you have travelled a long way a small pint of milk and a few tea bags . Coffee sachets would have been nice. Maybe a welsh cake These little touches make such a difference. But I would definitely recommend this cottage as it is beautiful . Thank you for a delightful break.
Sharon
Lovely comfortable cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay lots of light bulbs need replacing for property owners info not to be published
Having the heating controlled at unrealistic times also the fact they are controlled not happy with this. The outdoor space was good however some form of lean to over the bbq area may have its advantages

We had the loveliest stay here. Great location, close to lots of nice day trips and places. Lovely pub in Llanbedr village great food and beer. This Cottage was absolutely perfect for our young family, super comfortable beds, great kitchen kitted out with all we needed and the hot tub was the best we've ever had clean, big and ready on arrival. Nothing too much for our host who made us so welcome. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone!
Absolutely brilliant stay at isallt. Everything you need is there some extras e.g. washing machine, dishwasher. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Hot tub is perfect to relax after a long day hiking in the hills. Location is stunning, couple minutes to the beach which has to be one of the best in Britain, golden soft sand that stretches for miles. Few different towns within a short drive, some a little bit further but the drive is on lovely country roads with stunning views. Would highly recommend. Thankyou
Good Cottage In Good location
Lovely converted barn holiday cottage on a working farm that is managed by the owners. The owners leave you to your own devices & indeed we only met them on our morning of leaving. Cottage clean & tidy with all utensils you will need for a weeks Holliday. Only thing?s missing were a cottage information pack, we?ve stayed in about 20 holiday cottages & this is the 1st one to have not had an information pack or indeed a welcome pack. The hot tub is a lovely addition to the cottage & it now has got privacy screens from the other cottages. A good cottage in a great location.

Beautiful rural cottage, peaceful well presented hot tub a great bonus. Highly recommend
Heather
A wonderful quiet and peaceful stay in a very well kept barn conversion. We loved it and hope to return!

Had a great time very think you need, I would like to thank the owner for a relaxing holiday
This was a beautiful, cosy, comfortable cottage. Every effort had been made by the owner to make it festive and homely. The cottage is really well equipped and all kitchen utensils etc were very good quality. The shower was hot and powerful. My small negative.and it is small is that I would either prefer a polyester duvet or a thicker cover over the down as occasionally the feather ends poked through..like I say its a minor thing. The hot tub was amazing and was very well used. I would definitely recommend this cottage and will be returning again myself.
A lovely stay at Isallt over Christmas. The cottage was perfectly positioned between the sea and the mountains. Clean, tidy, warm and very well equipped. The enclosed garden is great if you have a dog and the hot tub was a perfect addition after a day in the hills. Welcoming and friendly hosts. We could not have asked for more. We would and have recommend a stay in this lovely cottage. Zoe, Jim and Ted the
Fantastic cottage with everything you need or could wish for and really friendly and helpful owners. Cannot wait to come back.
Michelle
Perfect week! Arrived to a nice welcome from Sara. Lovely homely cottage in a lovely setting. Private hot tub. Perfectly positioned to walk to Harlech beach. The cottage has everything you could need. Asked Sara about a BBQ then next morning there was one on the patio for us. Lovely days out followed by lovely evenings in the hot tub. Cant wait to return!
The cottage was beautiful and so clean on arrival, very peaceful when sitting in the hot tub. Will definitely return.
Hannah
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Isallt. It was extremely clean, cosy and had everything that we needed. In a beautiful location and not far from Harlech and other lovely places! Couldn't recommend enough!
Rebecca
The cottage was gorgeous, we absolutely loved it and the location! Fully equipped with everything we needed and we loved the hot tub!
Exceptional property, location and area, lovely hosts. Had really thought about privacy and comfort. 5.
We absolutely loved our stay, felt really well looked after and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back.
The Cottage was lovely comfortable and warm. The nice touches of the Christmas decorations were much appreciated and we managed to cook a full Christmas dinner in the kitchen. The kitchen itself had everything we needed for our weeks stay over the holiday period. We only used one of the bedrooms ,however the double bed we found to be very comfortable. The living accommodation was spacious enough for the two of us and our dog Flora who also enjoyed her getaway in Wales. A very Enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage.

A perfect stay.Cottage is perfect and the hot tub brilliant. Such a peaceful quiet place. Loved seeing the farm animals and loved seeing the hens. Had a visit from the farm dog and cat too. Well equipped kitchen and lovely comfortable bed. Local beaches are great too and so a few beautiful sunsets. Owners are lovely. Looking forward to going back again. Highly recommended
A wonderful cottage, with everything you need with the added bonus of a hot tub. Quiet location with easy access into Snowdonia National Park or if you prefer close to beaches and villages. Very clean and comfortable, definitely recommend.
Angela
Fantastic. This is our third year of going to Isalt and each visit has been perfect. Cottage is so cosy and comfortable and the owners are perfect hosts. The setting is wonderful. So peaceful. Hight recommended
Richard
We were hoping for a high standard and that is what we found. Owners very approachable and keen to please. The one slight negative is that the beds in the twin bed room are not ideal for taller people but they are as long as the style of the room will allow. Ideal location for exploring and we had an enjoyable week. Hope to return again.
Judith
Very friendly owners, and the hot tub is superb
Cosy Cottage
We have just returned from a very relaxing week at Isallt cottage. We were really pleased with the accommodation and it had everything we needed for a family of four. There were some dishwashing tablets, tea towels, washing up liquid left in the kitchen and liquid hand soap in both bathrooms. You will need to provide everything else and the bigger supermarkets, such as Tesco, Lidli and Aldi are a 20 minute drive away in Porthmadog. The owners are super friendly and just leave you to get on with your break. The hot tub was an added bonus and much needed after a walk up Snowdon! There is a lovely walk to the beach from the cottage, which took us 15 minutes, across the fields and railway line. The beaches are lovely, soft sand and we saw some amazing sunsets. We recommend the fish and chip's from the Dolphin fish bar in Barmouth. Tony's pizza was okay but nothing special....although the chips were good. We had a meal at the Victoria Inn, which 2 out of 4 of us enjoyed, the 2 being the ones who ordered the burger! We will be booking again!
Gareth
A fantastic location, comfortable and well equipped. The owners were very welcoming and should be proud of their lovely cottage.
Really nice accommodation, in a lovely setting. The owners are really friendly and just leave you to enjoy your break. The cottage has all the items you need and is very comfortable. We would definitely return.
The property is a nice size, with a nice living space and dining area. The recliner chairs were a great plus we loved those. We loved that we could park the car outside the property. The bedroom was lovely size. The bathroom was nice but the floor was very creaky which echoed round the whole cottage. On arrival it was a shame we wasnt greeted by the host. We then didnt see get introduced to the host until day 3 which was disappointing as it would have been nice to meet her sooner and also would have been useful to know where we could find her if we needed anything. There were no instructions on how to use anything in the property. Having been to lots of Airbnbs in the past it is normal for there to be some instructions on how to use the tv, heating, etc and also there was no instructions on how the bins recycling work in the property. Every area is different so it is helpful to be informed. It was disappointing that on the 1st night the hot tub was not ready. I had messaged the host prior to arrival to ensure the hot tub would be ready and I was ensured it would be. Considering when we arrived it was peak of a fortnight of beautiful weather in Wales it was a shame that the outside furniture was dirty when we arrived and also that the umbrella was also broken. We let the host know this and she ordered a new one but this was no use to us as it didnt arrive in time. I know the property was self catering but in every self catering property Ive visited we have had spare bin bags, extra toilet roll and salt and pepper. This property didnt have any of these things. They are very cheap things to improve on but make all the difference to your guests stay. As the property is self catering it is a shame the fridge is not bigger. We had done a food shop for our whole week at the cottage and struggled to fit it all in the tiny fridge. I also found the fridge not to work that great. Some of our food went off whilst in the fridge even though the food was still in date and also the opposite too some of our drinks came out frozen. We ensured that the fridge temperature was always on 3 so it was not that. The double bedroom duvet was a feather one which almost instantly brought me out in a rash so we had to use the two single duvets in the twin room. It was a shame there wasnt a spare normal double duvet somewhere we could use. The mattress was also not the most comfortable and it seemed to dip in the middle. We had a nice week exploring Wales and using the cottage as a base. The cottage had beautiful views of the sunset in the evening. And when the hot tub was working it was lovely to sit out there and watch it.
We had a wonderful stay thank you so much such a lovely cottage and friendly owners in a beautiful setting
We had a wonderful stay at Isallt, the facilities were great and extremely clean. The bed was really comfortable and the cottage was nicely furnished. The hot tub was great on an evening after a day on the beach it has garden furniture so you can eat outside, which was a nice bonus. The owner Sara was really friendly and approachable if we needed her. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend and return.
