The Cottage Reviews

We have stayed at The Cottage before. The location is brilliant and the property is great. This time we had a couple of teething problems 1. It was a real struggle to lock unlock the front door with the keys provided. I was really concerned that during our stay either the lock would break or we would end up locked out!!! 2. The master bedroom mattress caused both myself and my husband back problems and we have both come home with bad backs. Can only assume the mattress on the bed needs replacing.

Just had a very good week in late September at The Cottage, Abersoch. The Cottage was ideal, we are both elderly short walk into Abersoch to all amenities and the beach very central for everything. Cottage well equipped, clean and comfortable off road parking ideal. Would recommend it to others. Thank you Harriet very enjoyable week. V&J

Mum and I stayed and were pleasantly surprised at the location being tucked away next to a Chapel and the police station. Ignore the sat nav it took us down the adjacent road. Parking was tight enough for two cars, which was a benefit as parking is not available in the road.. A short 5 minute walk from the cottage into Abersoch to enjoy the lively restaurants, pubs, shops, harbour and beaches. We recommend booking for evening meals as the village gets packed. The household amenities were great. More than enough crockery, pans, utensils even a poaching pan! Dishwasher, washing machine etc. I would have liked more tea towels and bath cleaning product. The beds were comfy, warm heating and plenty of hot water. We loved the history of the cottage, imagining the horses being stabled, the groom working and sleeping above the animals. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the veranda and listening to the sea gulls. Considering the age the cottage it was quite modern inside, self contained, a little jewel tucked away. Good to have the TV with enough channels to watch when it rained, we enjoyed the games of dominoes and playing cards. Nice local artwork in keeping with the seaside theme and the interior decor made the cottage easy to use. Thank you for sharing your cottage. We will be back next year, God willing x

There were 2 issue the boiler not working so no heating or hot water and blocked drains. The boiler got repaired however the drainage issues which had toilet roll and faeces meant on the paving area meant we couldn't use the balcony either was never addressed.
A great little cottage, well equipped and a great location. Easy walk to both beach and Shops. Could do with a user manual on how to operate heating etc .. but we worked it out eventually..

We had a wonderful stay. The house was excellent for our family and had everything we needed. Location is perfect for both beach and town. The only improvements were that there was no information pack explaining bin days, checking out procedure etc. Also, the house was very dark as the lights were not sufficient and there were a few cobwebs and a bit of rubbish left around.

The Cottage was better than we imagined. Its situation in the almost centre of Abersoch ideal. The decor was for me was beautifully done, & tastefully & thoughtfully created. We visited end of April so we were unable to enjoy the balcony & outside facilities which in the summer months would add to the enjoyment, as garden limited, but the parking area at the front is so useful as Abersoch is full & vibrant in the summer, so parking helps. The equipment & facilities to enhance your stay, add to the comfort. & you can use the heating facility which is programme for the occasional help or more but that is all we needed as April is a bit chilly. I would have loved to have read the history of the cottage. Plus a few more instructions , mainly when refuse is collected. Thankyou the high standard of cleanliness of The Cottage was comforting when we arrived.

Great property close to all amenities would definitely return here
