Curlew House is a beautifully positioned semi-circular contemporary building hidden within a timeless National Park. The house is set on the banks of an expansive tidal estuary flanked by woodlands of Oak and Ash, facing south and west over an unspoilt river with huge open views of sky and water.
Upon entering the house, the impressive staircase will stun you as it drops 5.5 meters away to the ground floor, framed by a huge panel of glass and double doors that lead out onto a large terrace. Four bedrooms start from a curved corridor at this upper level.
The master bedroom at one end of the hallway benefits from fabulous double-aspect views that can be enjoyed from your bed, as well as a private balcony and en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and bath. The second principal bedroom is situated at the other end of the house and benefits from double-aspect views of the estuary and a smaller terrace.
It is a twin bedroom that can also be set up as a super king, just please make us aware on booking how you would like it configured. The en-suite in this bedroom also benefits from a separate shower and bath.
The third bedroom has a king-size bed, estuary views and an en-suite shower room and the fourth bedroom hosts a king-size bed, estuary views and an en-suite shower room. All the bedrooms have generous hanging space.
There is a fabulous open-plan room which unfolds at the bottom of the main staircase into a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar with seating for four. This wide spacious room is wrapped around an internal wall with a hidden galley and open to the dining room with a beautiful oak table with seating for eight people.
