About Afan House

Nestled in the quiet, semi-rural village of Cynonville near Pontrhydyfen in West Glamorgan, lies the charming, three-bedroom holiday home of Afan House. Boasting off-road parking for two cars, tastefully-presented interiors, and a spacious outdoor garden with seating and private hot tub, this delightful property welcomes a family or group of seven, and their well-behaved dogs, for a refreshing, self-catered escape to beautiful South Wales.

Park up, unpack, and make yourself at home in your lovely new dwelling, where you'll find a well-equipped, galley-style kitchen housing all the appliances the chosen chef will need to rustle up a delicious, home cooked feast. Savour your meals at the dining table in the living/dining room, or take your dinners outdoors into the garden to enjoy an alfresco experience when the sun is shining.

When it's time to relax, stick a film on the Smart TV in the sitting area, which is kept warm and toasty by a woodburning stove, or even head outside to indulge with a dip in the hot tub as you gaze up to watch the starry night begin to appear overhead. When sleep calls, refresh with a bath or rejuvenating shower on your way to hunkering down for a well-earned rest in one of the three inviting bedrooms.

If you can tear yourself from your fabulous new dwelling, set out to explore what your local area has to offer. Head west to stock up on essentials at the S&V Superstore in nearby Pontrhydyfen, before you head back to tuck into a hearty pub lunch at the Afan Lodge.

When you're ready for some activity, make the brief car journey into the Afan Forest Park, which houses a plethora of wonderful circular walks, bike trails, and a mining museum! Afan House Reviews

Georgia
We had a fantastic stay, the views were amazing. The hamper left was a lovely touch and we enjoyed the games and the hot tub! Only bit of feedback would be more mirrors to get ready as with one bathroom and only one in one room was difficult. We would definitely return and recommend!
Following contact with owner we got bath towels 2 days after arrival. The washing machine was not working. Cobwebs hanging in every corner of the living room and entrance. Tea stains on seat and arms of both sofas. Grout around bath edge black with mould in parts Patio door stayed unlocked for 2 days until told how to force it. 3 bags of recycling rubbish at the front entrance. Very long flight of steep uneven stone steps uphill to front door not identified not easy for luggage transfer or the 'older' person. No off road parking which was in details. Value for money only in its location as this is within close family area.
