Honestly, this place was a hidden treasure. The views are stunning and it felt so peaceful and private. After a day out exploring, unwinding in the hot tub was perfect. Plenty of lovely walks nearby, especially for the dogs. Definitely a place we’d visit again!

Waking up to the horses neighing was such a treat! The hot tub was super easy to operateand the bed was really comfy, making for a great sleep. It’s nicely tucked away in the countryside but still just 15 minutes from Hereford for shopping. Plenty of storage for a small hut. Only downside was the internet listing - no Wi-Fi, but phone signal was fine. Lovely country walks too.

The shepherd’s hut was really snug and warm, plus having the outhouse to store our stuff made everything so much easier. The best part? Waking up to stunning views from the hot tub and watching the sheep graze-absolutely beautiful mornings!

Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available. 
Queenswood Country Park - HR6 0PY

Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Puzzlewood - GL16 8QB
about 15 Miles
Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Spetchley Park and Gardens - WR5 1RS
about 27 Miles
Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds. The deer park is also a big hit with children as well as grown ups. The onsite tea room serves tasty sandwiches and cakes and uses local produce where possible.
Cantref Adventure Farm - LD3 8LR
about 28 Miles
Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.
