We had an absolutely lovely time at the hut. The hut itself is lovely and well put together, and we found the bed to be comfy. The separate bathroom and 'shed' area (with fridge and microwave) were both great. After walking, the hot tub is a real bonus. The views from the garden and all around are really lovely. Was lovely to wake up to the horses neighing. Hot tub was easy to use, bed was really comfy and the location was good as felt away from it all but only 15 mins to city of Hereford for some retail therapy. Good amount of storage for small hut. Only issue was listed internet access but no Wi-Fi. Good job phone service was ok. Nice country walks.
Becky
My partner and I had a great stay! We brought our dog, she loved running around the enclosed garden and sniffing through the fence at the neighbouring horses. The shepherds hut was cosy and warm, it was great having the outhouse to put our bags and shoes in so we had ample space. Our highlight was definitely the views from the hot tub every morningRead more, watching the sheep graze! Hide

Fantastic three nights here with our two dogs who loved being able to run wild and free. The place was amazing, lovely views and a great place to relax with lots of amazing places nearby to visit. Lots of nice little touches and we couldn't have asked for more.

This little hut had a lovely position and out look. All that you needed was there and the owners seem to have thought it through well on what is provided. Great reception and handover and help on hand in needed. Nice little area for our dog to roam and chase the ball with views over the field and up the hill to the wood. Close enough to the city an d plenty to do or just for resting and letting the time drift by.

Lovely stay in good clean accommodation. Sitting in the hot tub over looking the forest and fields was lovely, even in the rain as the tub is covered! Can imagine it is even more beautiful in the summer. Beautiful walks nearby and not too far from pubs and shops if you wanted to.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay! Would definitely come again. We weren't bothered all weekend & came away feeling super relaxed. Thanks again :)
Adam
We enjoyed our stay at Ewes Retreat. Compact and simple living like most shepards huts (but that is what we wanted). Views from the hut and garden are lovely, with horses, donkeys, cows and sheep all within view of the dog-secure garden. Nearby forest, great for dog walking, just a 5 minute walk away. Dog Friendly pubs within 10 minute drive.
Joe
A perfect cosy cabin with all the amenities for a romantic break from city life! Incredible views, facilities with friendly and helpful hosts. Thanks again for the fresh eggs!
Amelia
Lovely little cabin located in an idyllic spot. Brilliantly equipt, even with dressing gowns for the hot tub (which it hadn't even crossed my mind to pack, but were very much appreciated!), spotlessly clean & well maintained. As a tall person, I always worry that the beds in cabins just won't be long enough, but this was perfect! Well located for e xploring Hereford, Ross-on-wye and beyond (short easy drive into each). Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!
Hannah
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location is perfect with incredible views of the area/ animals. Would highly recommend
Lisa
The perfect little getaway! It's perfectly designed, with quirky and homely Shepherd's Hut, spacious bathroom, handy store-hut and superb hot tub with the most stunning views!! To wake up and look out to the fields is very special. Every need was catered for, and very thoughtfully put together. An occasional road noise and sheep bleating (though be ing on a farm it's to be expected and we were rather fond of it!). We'd heartily recommend it and have had an absolutely amazing stay, thank you!
Claire
I have just returned from 3 nigths at Ewe's Retreat with my two labradors and the place is just magical! Stunning location with views to die for, set in a fully secured field for doggies. Wonderful walks on your doorstep and the facilities were outstanding. The hut is obviously compact but done so well, you could even sit and eat a meal inside of y ou so wished and beautifully decorated! Very comfy bed, huge separate shower room and wonderful covered hot tub to relax in. I will be back!
Adam
