Very dog friendly cottage with extremely handy enclosed grassed area for your canine. The cottage has everything you would need for a comfortable stay, lovely bed, cotton sheets, quality towels provided and really warm hot tub which we enjoyed almost every day. Walks from the cottage into the woods were also excellent.

Greeted by Paul & Lesley on our arrival , they couldnt have been more lovely & welcoming, made more of a fuss of our dogs than us! Cracking little cottage, handy for quick early morning/evening dog walks in the woods and also for day trips to explore the wider area. Garden is totally secure so we could let our 2 dogs out without worrying about escape attempts! Loved having the hot tub to relax in after a long day walking! Kitchen is very well equipped, we had everything we nee ded to prepare, cook and eat in every night! Would definitely come back!

Wow, what a little gem. We have just returned from a 4 night stay. The owners gave a very warm welcome on arrival, the cottage is very well equipped and cosy. The hot tub was brilliant to relax in after a walk around the public footpaths from the cottage door or just star gaze and relax while our dog was roaming around the secure garden. We really enjoyed our stay, it did the job of recharging our batteries ready to get back to the rat race. Thank you, Lesley and Paul for making us feel welcome

Lovely location with great views. Cottage was very clean and well equipped , plus decorated for Christmas! Lots of information provided for the area. Paul and Lesley are so friendly and helpful ( thank you for posting our forgotten trainers!) we had a lovely time with our doggies at the cottage. The garden really is very secure and no way doggies c an get out , especially helpful when in the hot tub! We dined out at the mill race in walford which was a great place and recommend. xx

Lesley and Paul are the loveliest couple who have provided the perfect accommodation for two either with (or without dogs). You wouldn't know it was a pet friendly cottage such is the cleanliness! Cosy, comfortable and easy to stay at. The hot tub a welcome addition making returning to the property after a long walk a real treat! We had good weathe r which was a bonus and my husband fished the Wye catching a couple of Wye Barbel and some very nice Chub. We most certainly will return to stay.

Puzzlewood - GL16 8QB
about 6 Miles
Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Lama Trekking at Old king Street Farm - NP16 6AA
about 14 Miles
Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available. 
Queenswood Country Park - HR6 0PY
about 20 Miles
Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Spetchley Park and Gardens - WR5 1RS
about 28 Miles
Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds. The deer park is also a big hit with children as well as grown ups. The onsite tea room serves tasty sandwiches and cakes and uses local produce where possible.
Bristol Aquarium - BS1 5TT
about 29 Miles
The Blue Reef Aquarium and IMAX 3D Cinema is located in Bristol and makes a great fun family day out.  The newest attraction in the region it's an experience not to be missed.  More than 7000 animals are resident in naturally themed habitats and you can enjoy wandering around looking at the 40 displays. Highlights include the giant octopus and the cute seahorses. The IMAX 3D cinema system is fantastic - you will feel like you are swimming along with the animals.
