Enjoying a leafy location on the outskirts of the idyllic village of Porthtowan, this delightful cottage offers fresh, welcoming accommodation for up to six guests, and has been beautifully updated to make a fantastic retreat for eager walkers, beach fans and nature watchers exploring a stunning part of West Cornwall. Part of a friendly complex of eleven charming holiday homes, this characterful hideaway is ideally situated for discovering the area s beautiful beaches, charming coves and tranquil woodland valleys.

A steep slope leads up to this pretty cottage which has a sweet lounge and a lovely snug, each with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a welcoming wood burner for you to unwind in front of. Low doorways lead through to a fully equipped kitchen, and there s a handy ground floor shower room, perfect for washing away the sand after trips to the nearby beach.

Heading upstairs, you will find three fresh and spacious bedrooms: a cosy double, a charming twin and a relaxing king size room, all with picturesque woodland views. The cottage also features a refreshing family bathroom.

Stepping outside, the private garden features a patio, a BBQ and a swing seat, making a lovely spot for dining alfresco within the surrounding woodland setting. A meandering woodland walk leads up to a loveseat with views out to sea.

Porthtowan occupies a stunning spot along the Cornwall coast, with three gorgeous beaches and a unique mermaid pool a vast rockpool which is unveiled at low tide. The village also offers a range of great places to eat and drink, with a coastal path offering chances to glimpse seals, dolphins and basking sharks.

Other local attractions, many relating to the area s mining heritage, include Cornwall Gold and Tolgus Mill, Enys Gardens, the King Edward Mine Museum, Wheal Ellen and John s Pumping Engine House, all within 12 miles.

Fantastic well equipped cottage, had everything you needed and more! The location was just perfect, easy to visit all the best places in Cornwall. The cottage is situated in the most peaceful, beautiful woodland with lots of amazing wildlife in the gardens, yet only five minutes away from the sea and village of Porthtowan. A lovely cottage, within easy walking distance of Porthtowan. Decorated to a high standard throughout. The only downside are the mixed height ceilings throughout the property especially if you are taller than average. Lovely cottage with everything you needed. Sauna and hot tub were great to come back to after being in the sea. Great location only 7 min walk from beach. We did a speed boat trip in Newquay and loved Perranporth and Porth Chapel next door.

Recent additions to the zoo include the African Savanna and the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit. Kids will love the play area, face painting, tarzan trail and animal encounters. Different events tale place throughout the year such as the Halloween Zoo Boo family fun event on 31st October.

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages. You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones. Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors. Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
