Morrane Reviews

We were lucky enough to have the opportunity of holidaying in Morrane and Demelza. Both were fully equipped with everything you could need and the hosts were exceptional, friendly, helpful and generous . Everything has been thought of and if you are missing anything it will be in the cottage or in the owners' storeroom! We will be back to visit, hopefully when it is not raining.
What a wonderful holiday we had, Maureen is a wonderful host and has thought of everything. I have not stopped talking to all I meet about how relaxing, dogfriendly, and peaceful this holiday location is. All decorated for Christmas with turkey, veg, and mince pies included. It's so perfect we have booked for next Christmas this will be our third year. Thank you, Maureen and John.

We had the most wonderful stay at Morrane. This is the best equipped, comfortable, most beautifully presented and idyllic setting we have stayed at and we have stayed at a lot!. Maureen had thought of everything. It was perfect for our two young boys and two dogs, and they had free run of the beautiful and safely enclosed garden. This enabled us to have a relaxing and stress free break! The hot tub was also a fantastic bonus and we couldnt get the boys out of it! My sister lives nearby and so our family visited a few times and Maureen made them feel very welcome. We just had the most lovely week and cannot wait to come back.

Maureen had thought of everything, a very welcoming and beautiful place to stay. Safe for dogs as the extremely large garden is totally enclosed. There is also a field to let them have a run on. The decking and hot tub area was wonderful, lovely place to have breakfast and listen to the birds. Morrane is a comfortable cottage with a calm and relaxing atmosphere and you can tell it has been furnished with love.
Shelley
Beautiful property.

From start to finish our experience of morrane and the owners John and Maureen was exceptional. Maureen called to let us know that the property was ready for us earlier than expected which was very much appreciated. The property was spotless and decorated and furnished to a very high quality finish. There was milk, tea and coffee and ample cream teas left for our arrival. Individual towels and bath robes were perfect for the jacuzzi and gave it a luxurious feel. John and Maureen were the perfect hosts, always on hand it you needed anything and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely return.
We stayed in Morrane for new year, we had a fantastic stay as a family of 4 plus our 4 legged friend! ! Maureen was very welcoming and had left some lovely gifts for the children and us! The property was decorated for Christmas which the children loved! It felt like a home from home, very clean and comfortable with an amazing hot tub, also conveniently located to get to all our favourite parts of Cornwall! Our dog was so welcome and the property was perfect for him with a huge garden, lots of treats, toys etc! We will absolutely be returning very soon!
Debbie
Super clean with excellent facilities. Very comfortable stay thank you and we loved the enclosed private garden, having a dog this made such a huge difference for us!
Caroline
Really homely feel, with personal touches that any other property wouldnt offer. Doggie treats, toys, towels all useful during our stay. Well equipped kitchen. Loved the Cornish pasty treats and other extras. Found it a good central place to stay to visit both north and south. Would love to stay during the summer when we could take advantage of the morning sunshine on the decking for breakfast. The only minor comment would be that there is no seating in the back to enjoy the afternoonevening sun.
Had a lovely, relaxing two weeks at Morrane. The cottage very clean and the bed very comfortable. Everything in cottage that you could need. Our daughter, soninlaw and grandson spent a few days with us, and highchair and travel cot were provided. The hot tub was wonderful, so relaxing after a day walking with our dog, we also found the hot tub is the perfect aid to a good nights sleep. Towels and bathrobes were also supplied. Maureen was always on hand for anything, very friendly and obliging. Thank you very much for the cream tea and the pasties, which were delicious. Maureen also very thoughtfully left a present of a bucket, spade etc for our grandsons first trip to the beach, also Barkley the dog says thank you for his treat bag and toys. Carol, Gary, Barkley and family.
We had a lovely week at the cottage. From the moment we got there we felt really at home. The cottage was very clean, the beds were comfy. I could not fault the place. The owners were so lovely and helpful, nothing was a problem. The hot tub is amazing. We will most definitely be going back!
Jonathan
The cottage was absolutely perfect for our family of four plus two small dogs. Maureen provides all you need plus more and lots of extra treats for the children and the dogs. Everything was spotlessly clean and the decor was stunning. The hot tub was amazing and the outdoor space was huge. Our favourite holiday , highly recommended . Definitely 5 stars from us.
This is a brilliant holiday cottage for anyone with dogs, and Maureen was very helpful and welcoming. The garden is secure and quite large, but you can use one of the fields for a more active exercise session. The cottage is very clean and well equipped for both people and dogs, and the whole site is incredibly quiet and peaceful. Carefully placed fencing also provides privacy from the neighbouring cottages. We thought the location was perfect for visiting all of the western half of Cornwall, being no more than 3040 minutes drive from Lands End, St Ives, The Lizard, Falmouth, Newquay, or St Austell. The beaches of Perranporth, Chapel Porth, and Trevaunance Cove, and the St. Agnes heritage coastal path are all less than 20 minutes away.
Morrane was amazing. Everything had been thought of, even a toy box for the dog. The property was super clean, with lovely ensuites and very comfy beds. Large enclosed garden, plenty of seating, and of course, the hot tub. Will definitely be back again.
Returning again and again to Morrane cottage never disappoints! Its absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly clean, a perfect location, spacious, safe and secure for dogs. Maureen and John are the loveliest people who have lovingly furnished and looked after Morrane perfectly down to the tiniest detail. I just love being in this place as its so tranquil and peaceful. Location is perfect to get to both sides of Cornwall. Morrane is just amazing and theres nothing else to add here that could make it any better. Thank you Maureen and John for sharing your beautiful cottages with us all!
Our stay in April 2022 was excellent. Every detail had been considered by Maureen from dedicated towels for the Hot Tub, cleaning products and games for the children. The house was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The house was dog friendly, we didnt have our dog with us yet the house was of a pet free standard. Location was perfect as we travelled every day to different parts of Cornwall. Maureen Contacted us before arrival to make sure we arrived safe and sound. Nothing was too much trouble, there were essentials in the fridge for our arrival including a welcome gift of Cornish pasties. Cherry on top of the cake for us was the Easter egg hunt for the kids. Idyllic location for familes and couples.
Victoria
We had a great time at Morrane Cottage. We really liked the way the cottages were spread out and designed so the hot tub was private and not overlooked. The gardens at Morrane are great for dogs, so much space for the to run around. It was also really good that you can shut off the decked area with gates at both ends. Maureen the Owner is a lovely lady and keen to make sure you have everything you need. Would definitely recommend as a very dog friendly place to stay.
We had the most fabulous stay at Morranne cottage , this was our first time here but will definitely be looking forward to staying again. Maureen is the most amazing host and the whole team made us and our German Shepherd Antis so welcome
Samantha
Great location near Perranporth beach. Very clean well equipped cottage with very helpful and friendly owners who go above and beyond your expectations We are repeatedly booking with the owners as our stays have been excellent. Don't hesitate to book in any of the 6 cottages Thanks again
Roland
Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful setting
We had an amazing stay at Moranne! Maureen was an amazing host, and nothing was too much. Always on hand for advice on places to go and eat, and if we needed help with anything in our cottages. It was so comfortable, quiet and idyllic and a short drive away from any amenities and local beaches. All that you need is on site, for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was amazing, along with the Prosecco and Cornish Cream Tea on arrival. We've told all or family and friends, and will definitely returning!
Fantastic place to stay, loved all the little extras, extremely friendly owner who will help with anything you need. Excellent location, hot tub great especially when it rains and can't enjoy the use of the garden but still have an amazing view. Definitely returning at some point
Absolutely fabulous cottage. Everything has been thought of and the cottage was immaculate. Lovely friendly welcome from the owners. Extremely safe and enclosed garden for our dogs. The hot tub made it extra special. Great location for getting out and about. Really would recommend any of the cottages at Nantrisack Holiday Cottages. Loved it and its one we will definitely return to.
Claire
Fabulous cottage, fabulous host. Cant wait to go back!
Stephen
It was perfect , the cottage was like home from home, luxurious everything you needed and more , a nice enclosed safe garden and our ducklings loved it. This would have been fantastic stay for our big German Shepherd dog if we brought him. We used the hot tub every morning and every night. The owners of the cottage couldnt do more and enough for you , perfect hosts. We stayed as a family but next time would come back with out the kids and just maybe the dog. We loved it here and location was spot on. 5 stars
You know when you are on holiday when are woken by the dawn chorus of our feathered friends rather than noisy traffic. The house, the location, the surroundings, the people were just perfect, a lot of holiday homes only have the basic essentials, but not this one, it was so well equipped it was better than home. Maureen & John deserve so much credit for these top of the range, luxury homes, we feel totally refreshed, and a very valued customer to have this level of luxury,
Sharon
The Cottage was perfect and well furnished with a large Garden and decked area. The property was all extremely clean. It is well located with good access to both North and South coasts of Cornwall. Also we loved the hot tub! ... As for the Cornish weather, it met our expectations. Highly recommended and we plan on returning!
Property was very clean and tidy, made to feel very welcome, hot tub was amazing
Hardev
Nantisack is a beautiful hidden gem. Maureen is kind, considerate and a host who ensures her guests have the time of their lives. We had a fantastic stay in Morrane. The bed was of a high quality as was the hot tub. Locationwise, we were close enough to everything to experience Cornwall. The little touches were great such as the prosecco on arrival. Maureen found out it was my wife's 30th birthday so asked if it was OK to place a cakes and balloon etc in the entrance. We will be returning without question. Great value for money and our little dog honey had the time of her life!
The cottage was home from home. It was clean, tidy and such a peaceful place to be. The hot tub was so relaxing and made for a restful nights sleep, just one thing, could have done with a longer stay, but work commitments meant unable to book longer, maybe next year. Maureen our host is a super lady and would do anything if you needed it, but to be fair it was perfect anyway. Would recommend it 100
Angela
Maureen the owner was so lovely & helpful but disappointed we didnt see her before we left to tell her how lovely her cottage was. The hot tub was a wonderful way to relax.
Highly recommend this beautiful place. We had the most wonderful stay in Morrane Cottage which is the most immaculate dog and child friendly place we have stayed. It is very well equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay and has a fantastic secure garden. The host, Maureen, is incredibly welcoming and made us feel like family. My children absolutely loved her. We will definitely be returning again next year.
The place was amazing and well furnished, the hot tub was gorgeous to relax in, The enclosed garden was great for our 1 year old dog. We were really centrally located and able to visit most places in Cornwall. The owners Maureen and John were fantastic and all the extras they put into the cottage were very much appreciated. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!!!
Robert
Wow! What an amazing place which made our family holiday absolutely perfect. The added little extras for my wife and children just subtle touches that make this property a delight to stay in. A perfect place to make base for exploring Cornwall during the day, and relaxing In comfort in the hot tub on an evening. Memories made that will last forever.
Nicola
Fantastic cottage, super clean and well looked after, stocked with everything needed for a home from home experience. Brilliant location to access the north and south coast. The hot tub topped it off and made our holiday extra special. We couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Elaine
The cottage had everything you could possibly think off even items you would not expect. They cover items you might have forgotten to pack even down to reading glasses. Is great if you have a dog you have enclosed garden and for a longer run a field just across the way. There is a dog friendly beach at Perranporth which is about a 7 mile drive and free parking after 5pm in town centre carpark. Owners make you feel very welcome and as we took a dog crate, on the one day we wanted to go where we could not take the dog, owners came up every couple of hours and let out the dog for a run and a play. I would Highly recommend and will be going back again. Gold star. Thanks you Maureen. Regards Sangster family and Derek the cocker spaniel.
Vanessa
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Moranne. Maureen even got a card and placed banners for my mother's birthday. The scones and cake on arrival were also wonderful. Maureen was exceptionally friendly and a fantastic host. The dogs were also made to feel very welcome and were genuinely smiling throughout the break. The enclosed garden was also fantastic for the dogs and of good size for them to have a run around and play. We look forward to returning again next year.
Hannah
We have stayed in this cottage now three times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cakes on arrival were a lovely touch. The hot tub was a real little gem. The owners Maureen and John are very accommodating. It is a great place to take your dogs.
The holiday cottage morrane was excellent clean comfortable and homely. We were made very welcome including our dog Lottie who loved it. The cottage was nicely decorated and the pictures were colourful and made us smile. A dishwasher would have been nice but would stop me going back. Maureen made us feel very welcome and was very helpful telling us where things were and the best place to visit and eat. Cant wait to go back.
