Ty Arwen Reviews

Caroline
Just loved our stay at Ty Arwen and can't wait to go back. Brilliant clear instructions to find the property and what a property it's one of the best I have ever stayed in. The location is amazing with sea and country views and a lovely walk down to the beach. We were blessed with good weather and enjoyed breakfast in the garden and evenings sat outside until the gnats got too bossy. The games room and hot tub are coming soon and will only extend special times outside. The photos don't do justice to the property as decorations and the kitchen have changed. So well equipped could have cooked full meals all the time but hey I was in holiday. Seating is comfy and maximises the views. Bedrooms were comfortable and as I was lucky enough to have the ensuite master with balcony afforded beautiful views. The property is dog friendly and has great space to clean dirty paws after time on the beach. It's not just the facilities good as they are it's the feel of the place so peaceful and relaxing you can't put a price on that. My only complaint it's booked up for ages but would definitely recommend and will go again.

On the second day the calor gas ran out. Now there are 4 large bottles and one emergency 19kg bottle but they were all empty. Surely someone should check those at every change in tenant. As it was, the support guy had them changed that day so 5 to him. Just shame that there was no hot water for most that day. The solid fuel system would not light to heat the water either. However I would say that we thought the place was very nice and modern accommodation with adequate room for 8 bodies provided the snug was configured as a double. There was an issue with the doors from that room to the outside the mechanism was broken but parts were on order but it did mean that there was no opening window in that room! There was a new garden cabin with a jacuzzi that was not accessible during our visit unfortunately but was being commissioned as we were leaving. The area is lovely with fabulous beaches and walks galore. In conclusion, despite a few issues en suite shower door needing replacement, bulb blown, one mouldy deckchair mentioned above we would go back there. Anglesey is a beautiful part of the world and nothing is very far away restaurants, pubs, beaches, places of interest. 1010
Amazing property in an amazing location, lovely and quiet and relaxing. The games room in the garden is fantastic! Tried to book again immediately but its fully booked for months and I can see why! Cant wait to return!
Had a great second visit to Ty Arwen. Stayed with our family. The accommodation worked well for us it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The goodies which were left for us were a nice treat and a lovely touch especially the treats for the dogs as well. Had a lovely stay, wonderful to have a 10 minute walk down to the beach and coastal path. The sunny weather just added to a special weekend away. Thank you.
Great place to stay, clean, modern and well maintained, very good location for walks in the day and two local beaches, lots of restaurants nearby.

Great property & location. We stayed over the Xmas period & had a lovely stay despite the awful weather! The summerhouse that is partially built will be a great addition to this property especially in the warmer weather. Would definitely recommend.
We have just returned home after a most enjoyable weekend stay at Ty Arwen. We were blessed with really good weather and enjoyed walking our two dogs on Lligwy beach. Benllech is only 3 miles away with a great beach and shops. The property is spacious with open plan lounge kitchen and dining area. The kitchen was well equiped the bedrooms comfortable and the rear garden view amazing. We would love to return to Ty Arwen.

My daughter and I had five nights here with our two dogs and thoroughly enjoyed it. I hadnt realised that the garden wasnt fully secure for the dogs my fault but I bought a ground stake and two training leads and problem solved! The dogs had their freedom and I didnt have to keep taking them out in the rain for a wee We explored many new beaches and areas that we hadnt been to before and Ty Arwen is in a great location for doing this. I would say check the tide times! Its a steep hill back to Ty Arwen from Lligwy beach but if youre fit its no problem and if not there is a generous car park! Its a great beach to have on the doorstep. The house had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Its very quiet and peaceful. We had an issue with the carbon monoxide monitor at 2am but Gwyn answered our call and we were soon sorted! I made a booboo and thought I had booked an extra night Ive never done that before sorry! but the cleaning staff were amazing and we managed to get out just half an hour later than intended. We really appreciated this and werent made to feel bad! We then went down the road to the beach at Benllech and waited for the gluten free fish and chip shop to open before setting off home. Even the sun came out! Dogs happy. Daughter and I happy. Many thanks
Lovely cottage in a quiet peaceful area with easy access to beach, pub and coastal paths for stunning walks. The cottage is a well thought out design having some great features such as the fold back doors opening onto the patio and is equipped to a high standard with a fabulous private garden.
This is a really lovely house. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for the six of us and enough room for the dog too! Everything we needed we found there was even an outside hose to wash the dog down after the beach! It is a lovely quiet location but easy to get to many places from. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to stay here again soon.
A very well designed holiday property, with good separation of living and sleeping accommodation and excellent flows of the light and bright entertainment areas. Kitchen is very well equipped while there is the luxury of 3 bathrooms and a further separate toilet. Bedrooms are spacious, beds comfortable and packing space adequate. The entrance hall with coat hooks an and boot racks is very useful as is the outside tap and hosepipe for washing the dogs. Unfortunately the property is not well maintained and as previous reviews have mentioned there is mould in the bathrooms and the shower heads need cleaningreplacing. The grass hadnt been cut which meant cleaning up after the dogs become a bit of a treasure hunt. The property is well sited with wonderful beaches in easy walking distance and a large well stocked CoOp in Amlwch. The coastal walk to Moelfre with cape and coffee at Anns pantry is highly recommended. In summary the layout, facilities and location of this property are excellent and if the maintenance and cleaning could be improved then this would be a 5 star holiday rental.

Beautiful property in beautiful surroundings. Very well presented with secured gardens and stunning views from the patio. Our group 6 adults & two toddlers were well accommodated and plenty of space for us. Convenient walk down to the beach approx. 15mins and only a short drive to local amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay to celebrate a 40th birthday and would definitely stay again. Would suggest it possible to accommodate an earlier checkin however
Beautiful clean and well maintained cottage in a stunning location. Only a 15 minute walk to at least 3 beaches and the coastal path. We were a party of 3 plus 2 dogs. There was lots of space indoors and out and we had a fabulous stay

This is such a lovely property in a stunning location. Sadly it is very tired and could do with some refurbishment. there is mouldy grout in the shower rooms particularly the wet room drain and the shower heads need replacing. The lining on the main bedroom curtains were ripped and some of the bedroom curtains were hanging off. The dining chairs were heavily stained. The hinges on the fridge and freezer are rusty. The general cleanliness was not great, skirting boards very dusty and light switches covered in finger marks. The internet stopped working, we received a message from the provider saying there was an outstanding payment, We all felt due to the above issues the accommodation was overpriced. Such a shame
We had couple of issues that were sorted by the owner.
Beautiful place and surroundings. The only thing I didnt agree with is stripping down all the beds and laundry and then bagging it all up for the cleaners or incur a 50 fine. It also stated that included dressing gowns but these were nowhere to be found which myself and 5 other guessed never brought with us on the understanding that there were some at the cottage. If I could suggest one thing it would be to maybe make the spare cabin into a games room.
