Ty'n y Clawdd Reviews

We all love the cottage and would
Heather
Cottage was well stocked with all utensils, cutlery and crockery to cater for a family. The bed was comfortable, as were the sofas. Ideal for pet owners with stone flooring. Garden was perfect as well. Downside for us was the noise from the busy road and exiting and entering driveway. Road supposedly was 20mph but, of course, nobody abided by that limit. Vision was difficult due to plant that needed cutting back. No welcome pack, not even a pint of milk.
Ty'n y Clawdd Had everything you needed. It had a fully equipped kitchen. And was a very cosy lounge and bedrooms We took our 2 dogs and the garden was amazing and fully enclosed which is very important to us. The hot tub was a bonus. Ty'n y Clawdd Is on a main road but that didn't bother us. The Beach was a 5minute drive but you could walk, but we found that a little difficult with the dogs as there are not many paths. You have the best of both worlds the beautiful sandy beaches and Snowdonia. We will definitely be returning .
Lovely place to stay Home from home The hot tub was great although there is a ... Lovely place to stay Home from home The hot tub was great although there is a couple of jets that dont work and will need attention Overall we had a great few days stay
Christine
Enjoyed our stay with daughter and grandchildren. All the comforts of home! They all loved the hot tub which we left as a surprise for when we arrived at the cottage. It was well maintained so felt safe. The garden was great for Stanley the dog and a nice welcome bed for him. The accomodation was large enough for all of us 6.With plenty of outside space to relax. We were lucky with the weather so spent most of our time outside. Only issue we felt lacking was the noisy road. We were under the impression it's 20mph, but not many vehicles took notice. The barbecue was easy to use. We would stay again as a good time was had by all! Thanks Mike.
Teresa
Everything was perfect, just like last year. We had a great time managed 3 barbies and lots of time on the beaches and in the hills with the dogs. The accommodation suits us perfectly it was clean, well maintained and everything we wanted was provided. The garden is the star attraction. Just a shame it sleeps 6 not 7. We will be back that's a promise
There were problems with the cleaners and the house was dirty. There were problems with the plumbing and Sykes emergency servicemade it worse and ruined our holiday. The property is lovely, the hot tub is great but it all needs a little care and attention. The single bed is not comfy. The sandpit needs to be covered against cats. All the patio area needs sweeping.
Ty'n y Clawdd is a beautiful cottage surrounded by stunning countryside. The hot tub is perfect to relax in after a day out walking, the lounge is comfortable especially with the wood burning stove. The garden was great for playing games and exercising our 2 springers and it is a bonus that it is split into 3 separate areas. The kitchen has everything you need. We had an issue with the wood burner which was rectified by the owner very quickly. The flue had become blocked, at some point, by a bird. This was quite clearly outside of the owner's control however the installer arrived to clear the problem without any inconvenience to ourselves. We had a great stay here and would happily recommend to others.
Great location, wonderful accommodation with ample room for 3 adults and 3 small dogs. Beautiful large garden area with various areas to go and sit down in. Literally a 10 minute drive to seaside village of Barmouth with shops and a great fish and chop shop, The Mermaid. Lovely beaches nearby to walk the dogs and get some fresh sea air. The accommodation had everything you needed, with a well stocked kitchen with plenty of kitchen essentials, e.g. plates, pans, cutlery etc. The lounge and dining areas were clean and comfortable with a smart TV, log burner, comfy sofas and a large dining table. My only feedback on where improvements could be made to make our stay perfect would be to invest in some new bedding for all the three bedrooms. The bedding seems old and dated, although clean, e.g. duvets, duvet covers. The pillows in all the bedrooms could do with replacing as all of them were very thin and flat, at home I normally sleep with two pillows, I had to use five due to how thin they were. The same with the cushions in the lounge area, four cushions however, they were all flat as pancakes. Overall, lovely accommodation, great location and would stay again, but would bring my own pillows from home to ensure a good nights sleep.
Claire
The cottage is really lovely well equipped and clean with a beautiful secure garden great for dogs . The hot tub was also greatly appreciated by our teenagers . Close to some amazing beaches and surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are shops and pubs a few minutes away too . Unfortunately the 4 nights we were there were significantly impacted by the broadband being down for the entire stay .
Lovely Cottage, great location. Hot Tub wonderful. Will definitely be back
Andrea
Lovely cottage close to all amenities could not fault
Everything was great. Only minor issue was the bed mattress was a bit stiff for my liking and pillows were thin.
Excellent location and garden was superb for the dogs. No toilet paper on arrival but other than that would recommend.
Lovely accommodation with easy access to lots of beautiful walks and the beach, I would definitely recommend to others and happily come back. If I have anything negative to say was that previous occupants didnt pick up after there dogs and we found multiple at least 7 poops
Adrian
Nice cottage and well equipped and great for dogs, however after a long season of dogs staying its now time for a deep clean. But all in all a nice place.
Arriving Saturday first night in the double bed I got up covered in bites. Got InTouch with Sykes who got someone round to check the mattress he didnt find anything but came the next day to spray .Skyes surgessted that some thing had come through the bedroom window which is not true because we couldn't have the windows open the traffic noise was bad didn't have a nice stay at all .
Robert
The cleanliness of the property wasnt great, a lot of cobwebs in different parts of the house particularly upstairs. Certain areas were also dusty, again upstairs. The areas downstairs and high usage areas were fine so probably just needs a deep clean. Couldnt charge EV through the 3 pin plug, this wasnt referenced in the listing.
Teresa
Brilliant property very comfortable house and lovely secure garden which our little dog loved. Great parking and access to amenities, walks and beach. We will definitely book again.
The cottage was superb, very charming and well equipped. The large garden is perfect for dogs and children, very secure too! The hot tub was amazing loved it overall Ill definitely go again. Only slight niggle was the master bed wasnt that comfortable but I realise theres no bed like your own bed is there. So wouldnt stop me going again. Great cottage and location
Natalie
House was very homely and it really felt very cosy, definitely a home away from home. Perfectly situated close to the beach and shops, it had everything that we needed for a relaxing week away with our dogs. Hot tub was amazing in a secluded area of the garden. We would definitely stay here again.
Very enjoyable stay in a nice location. An ideal base for visiting Barmouth and Harlech. Great secure grounds and plenty of space for the dogs. The hot tub is of good quality and provides for a relaxing hour to rest weary legs. Internally, the cottage is spacious and feels satisfactorily finished simple but not too simple. It has to be said that the bed was not particularly comfortable however, fine for a few nights but could definitely be improved. Road noise was noticeable, particularly in the lounge, and surprisingly busy for the relatively rural location. Perhaps improved doors and windows to the front could make a significant difference. Just to add Im not talking town centre levels of busy so dont be put off by that. Overall, nice cottage for an enjoyable break that is appropriately priced.
Stuart
Very beautiful, road was very busy and noisy though. Lovely location. Did find a lot of cob webs in the cottage
We had a lovely relaxing week. The property has everything you could possibly need. The new kitchen which had just been fitted before our stay is very well equipped. As mentioned in a previous review the road at the front of the property is busy but the garden to the rear of the property more than makes up for this, it is a wonderful space and very secure for dogs The hot tub was wonderful to relax in after our long walks on the beach. We would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning
Beautiful cottage, comfy and everything you need provided. garden superb for your furry friends. Only down side is the busy road outside.
Thank you we had a wonderful stay and the cottage was well equipped. Everything was as or better than expected we definitely would love to come back
