Awelfryn Reviews

Lovely property and great location for all amenities
This was the best holiday home we have had! ! The house was spacious, light, had great views down to the sea and was well maintained and looked after. The teens LOVED the hot tub. Criccieth was a great village with lots more facilities than we thought and it didn't feel like there were lots of tourists there. Dave came to check the hot tub every day and was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent stay, very well equipped property beautifully furnished in a lovely location close to the bay. Added touches to assist with our dog extra water bowls, towels etc. Sadly we booked as a group of six but unfortunately our friends developed COVID so we're unable to join us however the rest of us had an amazing stay.
Awelfryn is a beautiful house, really well appointed. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The views are absolutely gorgeous and the beds extremely comfortable. Thank you
Our whole family has enjoyed our holiday at Awelfryn and would certainly recommend it to other families. The children loved the hot tub and were in it every evening.
The facilities available for use in Awelfryn went beyond the description, we had taken towels for the hot tub we did use our own, & lots of kitchen items tea towels, oven gloves etc & really we did not need to. The house was beautiful & catered for our every need. The views were amazing & the outdoor furniture was positioned to make the most of these views.
Lovely house, meticulously kept, with wonderful views over Cardigan Bay. Our second visit to this house, and will return again. Excellent.
Lovely house, very clean and tidy. short walk to the beach and town. Really enjoyed our stay.
Brilliant stay in a lovely place. Thank you
Beautiful house, great location with sea views . Lovely touch with the welcome pack, flowers and champagne . Cant wait to return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Awelfryn, such a good spot to admire the castle and seaviews from the patio. The house was spotlessly clean, and the lovely welcome pack an added bonus. It was perfect for a family reunion and the hot tub was a hit with everyone. Perfect to explore the area, and make new memories. Thanks !

Beautiful house, beautifully furnished with view of sea. What's not to like! We all throughly enjoyed our week, grand daughters loved the Hot Tub. Very pleasant and understanding owner. 5 stars all round.
Owners were lovey. House wonderful. Added extras were a nice touch and made it very welcoming. The additional bottle of champagne and chocolate was a generous and kind token. Location is very good with stunning views. Everything was wonderful.
Top class accommodation, in a wonderful location overlooking the sea. A Fresh clean welcome with some delicious goodies, a real treat. A very comfortable large, airy house with lots of special features . Quality items used in the house , nice dishes, cutlery Robert Welsh our favourite home from home. A family fridge with ice maker, a great cooker with added grill pan etc . Lots of thought has been given to making the house comfortable for guests. The owners live near by , unobtrusive but there to support if need be. Would like to return again, so much to see and do in the area.
Sharon
A beautiful house in a beautiful location. All amenities catered for and all the homely touches which makes this a great setting for families to be together and just relax against the backdrop of the hills and sea. The owners were there to check everything was satisfactory which it was 100. On the doorstep is everything you need all within walking distance.
Had a lovely week staying in Awelfryn. The property was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The outside area was perfect for enjoying a BBQ and relaxing in the sun, The hot tub with views of the sea and countryside was a welcome relief after days out exploring the surrounding areas.

Fantastic house! From the moment we walked in it felt like home from home . The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the house spotlessly clean . We were a party of six adults and one small child and found we had plenty of space. The hot tub was great and would recommend paying the extra to have it. The house shouts quality and luxury , the beds were all comfortable and bedding and towels lovely . Location great across from the beach and views amazing . Handy for Porthmadog and Pwllheli. Owners friendly and helpful . We would definitely rent again without hesitation .
Lesley
Awelfryn is a lovely spacious house, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It's just a couple of minutes walk to the beach, most of which is dog friendly so we and our dog had some lovely walks along the beach. The hot tub is a bonus and great to relax in at the end of the day. A lovely house to stay in.

Thank you for our wonderful stay in your Beautiful house. Everything we needed was here. The welcome pack was so good! What a great location with Amazing views.
Tracey
Lovely house in a spectacular spot. We had a wonderful time at Awelfryn over Easter. From the welcome pack and beautifully clean interior, to the sea views and lambs gambling on the hillside at the back of the house, we absolutely loved it. Criccieth is a lovely place to wander around, the beach and castle are a short walk away from the property and our children were perfectly happy to explore the rock pools every day with a bucket and spade. However, we did manage to explore a bit further afield with Portmeirion, Black Rock Sands and Caernarfon castle all just a short drive. Big thank you to the owners for their communication and much appreciated extra touches that made our holiday so special.
Mrs Wilkinson
What a gorgeous house and spot! It was perfect for our stay. Thank you so much, we have had a fantastic holiday!
