Lansdowne Lodge Reviews

A little nugget of gold hidden in its own secret garden.
Lovely property, garden, and local area. Enjoyed the hot tub! Everything was to a high standard. Hope to stay with you again.
Pamela
Enjoyed the privacy of the lodge. Very comfortable and well equipped. The garden was great for our dog and the outside space would be lovely in the spring and summer.
Davina
Lovely property and the hot tub was a great luxury. Also very good for dogs as big secure garden
Cheryl
We loved our time here at Landsdowne lodge, it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We came here for a relaxing break after our wedding and wanted a retreat to relax in with our dogs. This place did not disappoint a beautiful garden with an amazing pond, and the wildlife were so lovely to watch on rainy days. On arrival we had been left welcome gifts, and relaxing in the hot tub after walks along the beech or through the woods was just perfect.
Jacqueline
This was a lovely holiday home and the location was perfect. The house had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The hosts were on hand if we needed anything which we didnt because they had provided everything we needed. The shop and village were very close for supplies and eating out. Dog walks were amazing. We loved it!!
Deborah
A lovely break in this wonderful cottage. Great location, and very convenient for all local amenities whilst still being private and secluded. The hot tub is just fab .
Michelle
This is our 3rd stay at Lansdowne Lodge, and once again we had a lovely stay. There is so much to do in the area and the hot tub is a lovely treat at the end of the day. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We had a lovely, relaxing week away. The house was spacious and cosy the hot tub amazing. The best thing was the garden being fenced in, so the dog could run around safely. Loved how its tucked away, like a secret garden. From a personal point of view, Id love to have the choice of a second double bed but honestly that just a preference, the house is lovely. We will certainly be booking again
Alison
Lovely cottage, very private and all enclosed for dogs. We found it to be very clean and has everything you could need for your stay.
Lovely property. Handy location by shops. Pubs. Lots of walks to do with the dog.
Joanne
Excellent stay in this lovely, cosy cottage. Great location for visiting our older daughter at Lincoln Uni. Well equipped, with comfortable sofas and beds. Enclosed garden ideal for our 2 spaniels and we enjoyed a lovely walk around the nearby Willingham Woods. Tesco just over the road was super handy too! A minor issue with the ensuite toilet was communicated to us before arrival which was appreciated and solved any further contact. Hot tub great and enjoyed by us all. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Suheyla
Absolutely gorgeous cottage, the owners were so helpful, really enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was amazing, house fully equipped and clean. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for such a lovely getaway, just what me and my family was looking for.

Very attentive owner, when Storm Babet caused a power cut in the area she brought over a flask of hot water and biccies so that we could have coffee while we holed up in the cottage. Lovely place, hot tub very welcome at the end of the day
Had a lovely stay at Lansdowne Lodge 16th 23rd Sept 2023. Secured garden for Ellie
So relaxing loved our stay could not of asked for more even the dogs enjoyed it . Would fully recommend it to any one looking for a relaxing break or holiday . Thank you Glen Sharron Tetley & Teagan
An amazing find. accommodation totally private and quiet set in a very short distance from the wolds that offers an abundance of walking footpaths and bridleways Woodlands vast open fields in such beautiful countryside. Also just a 2 minute walk into town that offers everything. Amazing tranquil villages offering pub food. Further afield you have wonderful dog friendly beaches that we found to be so clean. Really something for everyone from museums to fun parks to peace and quite of the countryside. Then back to the accommodation that we found to be home from home withvtge added bonus of the hot tub really there was nothing to find fault about the hosts were there but if required but very private. We thoroughly enjoyed a well needed quiet break with our 2 spaniels that loved every moment and have returned home very tired from their explorations. Thankyou xxx
Great accomodation nice enclosed gardens for the dog . Hot tub great to relax in the evening. Plenty of places to visit not too far away. Had a great holiday.
Sharon
Lovely comfortable stay, great location to visit other towns.
Yvonne
Very well set out and all necessaries provided. Beds very comfortable. Spacious open plan living all on 1 level. Gardens and fish pond well looked after, beautiful spot.
Barbara
Lovely Lodge which was perfect for a few days away. Some road noise in the garden but didn't bother us and can't be heard when inside. Garden was safe and secure for our little dog. Hot tub was a bonus. Lodge itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. Some lovely walks just a short distance away. Would go again if in that area
The property was just as shown & the location was lovely. Very relaxing. The owners were very kind & helpful especially when we had problems with our car they recommended a local garage. The local restaurants were only open on a few days & only til 8pm which we found strange as where we live there are lots of different options for food but we had a nice time.
Deborah
We had a lovely stay at Lansdowne Cottage, in an ideal location to get to villages and Cities around the area, had a few goes in the hot tub, and bottle of prosecco and bisquits was a lovely touchand enjoyed the koi pond was very realxing, listening to fish jumping and the waterfall so soothing, walked into the town on arrival, very pretty with lots of shops and pubs, Tesco just across the road very convienient to pick up a few supplies. Alfie, our Jack Russell however did not like the stones on the path, he jumped up onto pond wall to get to gate, and i had to lift him down onto garden lol, the only negative we had was the showers were a little small, im on the large side and a very tight fit to get in and move around in shower, even hubby had difficulties and hes average size. The cottage was very well equiped, and the open plan layout was lovely, with lots of room, the bedrooms were both a very good size, all in all a really special place
We had a lovely week at Lansdowne Lodge. We liked the open plan layout and the garden areas. The owners were on hand if needed. The location is good with Tescos opposite and only a 5 minute walk into Market Rasen where there is a good choice of pubs and restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay, the photos don't do the outdoor space justice! The garden was perfect for our two labs and three year old to run around in and I bet it looks even more beautiful in full bloom! Theres some great fruit bushestrees and shrubs and the fish un the pond were mesmerising to watch. The owners who we saw in passing were really friendly so was their dog. Thank you.
It's always a pleasure to stay here. Beth and Martin are really helpful if you need them. It's like a secret garden. Once you're through the gate, it's a different world. Full of singing birds, trees, the garden and fish pond. They all create tranquility. The hot tub is nestled away and the perfect place to relax. Accommodation is spacious and has everything you could need, including slippers and robes to get you to the hot tub and back. Beth also leaves a treat of prosecco and biscuits. A really nice personal touch.
Lovely comfortable cottage, good location for exploring. Very peaceful even though not far from main road and Tesco is opposite, good for shopping for food. Our two dogs enjoyed themselves as well.
Excellent holiday been there twice in 4 months
Hilary
The cottage was lovely & great garden & hot tub Beth the owner kept good contact , 15 minutes walk to train station and market Rasen, tesco just across the road . The cottage was all on one level which was perfect for us , would definitely recommend
A warm welcome from the owner . The property very warm and comfortable for a holiday in the winter , we really enjoyed our time here . In the spring and summer it must be delightful being able to sit in the garden with the lovely fish pond and all the trees and shrubs . Very handy for shops . Would return .
Lovely property. Immaculately clean. Very well equipped. Hot tub was a bonus and robes and slippers a special touch. Perfect location for visiting the wolds. Communication from owners was excellent. Would highly recommend.
We had the best stay, wish it had been longer, beautiful place, everything was so good. Thank you for the wine and chocs too. Will definitely be back xx
This is a lovely lodge in a quiet location whilst having the convenience of Tesco as your corner shop. It is an ideal base for exploring with Lincoln being only 16 miles away. The lodge itself is comfortable and well equipped, nice touches such as bath robes and slippers for the hot tub. The highlight though was being able to sit watching the birds bathing by the fish pond and other wildlife it attracts.
Thomas
What a fab place to stay, we loved this private little spot. All the facilities you could need plus the amazing hot tub, which was blissful after a day out exploring the area! The lodge was lovely and clean on arrival and we were left a lovely bottle of Prosecco and biscuits. The lodge is just over the road from a big Tesco so anything you need is on hand, this being said you wouldnt really know you were so close as it was lovely and peaceful. We would like to return in the winter to take advantage of the log burner and the hot tub!
Had a great stay at Lansdowne Lodge. Lots of places nearby to walk our dog, and also a big garden. The hot tub was lovely and very private. Easy to get to Lincoln by bus or train.
Anthony
Very nice, and well placed to visit places. Great hot tub and garden area, parking area shrubs needs to be cut back. The owners have a really friendly big dog called Willow who liked to put his head through the trellis fence to say hello.
Daniel
Excellent cottage great facilities ideal base to explore Fully intend to return
Elizabeth
We had 2 adults , 2 teenagers, a baby and 2 puppys and the fully equipped cottage met all our needs and more. Relaxing atmosphere throughout with the added bonus of private hot tub and beautiful mature gardens that were fenced in and very private. Excellent cottage with fantastic hosts whom communicated with us from point of booking

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 16 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 17 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 17 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Normanby Hall Country Park - DN15 9HU
