Great stay if you want a bit of privacy
Fantastic location, The owners were very helpful and attentive. Overall great experience
No teapot or French Press, it was a middle class nightmare
Thelma
What a wonderful retreat this place is to recharge your batteries. Surrounded by wild life on the lake sheep in the surrounding fields. Watching the sun go down over the lake from the deck. Life couldnt get much better than this.
Sandra
Owner of the property is a very helpful and answered all the questions. Thank you Our holiday home was great we would definitely stay again.

Our happy place, 3rd time staying in cedar lodge and not the last, hubby loves fishing so ideal for us to chill and I love the hot tub so both happy. Watching the sheep and wildlife from the decking is so peaceful we switch completely off from everyday life. The cabin is very well equipped and spotlessly clean, can't wait to return.
We really enjoyed the cabin and it suited our needs well, especially as it allowed my 86 year old father to enjoy fishing. Some of the fittings were of poor quality and loosefaulty bathroom door lockshower door. It would also have been good to have an electric kettle, rather than a traditional one which sits on the gas hob, and an electric toaster. I suspect these omissions were due to limited electric supply capacity in the cabins. Perhaps a small, lowerpower, hotelstyle kettle could be provided to allow enough water to make tea to be boiled as the hob kettle took a very long time to boil.

Wow, what an experience. ! This place was stunning, the log cabin is beautiful, felt so homely and cosy. We made some awesome memories, fishing, hot tubs, bbqs, but most importantly, quality family time. Definitely a place to go back to.. a home away from home.
Just so peaceful. Beautiful walks to the New Inn pub. So many walks actually. Working Farm so nice to be amongst animals. The cabin itself was clean, spacious with the sit outside area overlooking the lake, absolutely lovely. Would definitely go back. Thanks Andy Paul and Duncan.
Just like the picture which was perfect. Never felt so at with nature and every morning brought something different. Other groups were present during our stay but couldnt hear much from them which was as perfect. Though the experience was top, there could be a few things done to make the experience even better 1. Address the issue with the closing of front door. Did have to slam door to properly close lock. 2. A few sharp areas of the decking where knots have loosened fallen off leaving sharp points. 3. Maybe some decking strips for wooden steps? 4. Decking treatment sand down etc Just a few pointers to aid you going forward

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, prior to arrival the guys were great on any info we needed , once arrived the lodge was spotless and we was very surprised how well equipped it was , very comfortable and clean, everything you need to vook etc, all towels were provided too, outside om veranda was great plenty of seating great bbq, we also did fishing which was just great literally outside lodge had some fantastic fish upto just short of 23lb , would highly recommend
We spent a lovely family week in the Cedar Cabin. Absolutely beautiful area and couldnt fault the cabin. The hot tub was lovely and so was the surrounding lake, geese, sheep and baby lambs! We took the advise from reading another review and brought our own electric kettle and toaster along as we didnt want to wait around having to boil water on the gas stove and make toast in the grill oven, but everything else was well provided for. We had a curry night down at the local Lion Inn on our last evening and the food there is absolutely amazing! We enjoyed it so much that me and my husband have booked one of the smaller pods for the weekend for just the two of us again for June and November this year! Thank you to Salford Farm for a lovely week away. See you again in June! x

We spent the half term week here with the grandchildren. Great property and location. Very comfortable and warm. We had a very pleasant and relaxing week. Unfortunately had not appreciated that the lake is being developed as a specimen fishery. Fish are present but the style of fishing required is not suitable for the average child which was disappointing. The hot tub was a welcome and well used diversion. Would recommend, but with a reservation about family fishing.

The only downside for us was the chairs we were a group of four ladies on a catch up weekend we didn't want to go out but just have lazy Friday and Saturday nights in but one of us always ended up sitting on the dinning room chair which after a couple of hours not comfy would be great if you removed an item of furniture corner tabledesk to make room for another soft chair this would stop us booking again
Amazing place set in a perfect location around a lake, ideal for families and pets. We found loads of places to visit in the area and could not fit in all the activities we wanted to do. The kids loved the hot tub and spent hours in there each night. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. You are surrounded by the farms sheep which made the stay even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend and I am pretty certain we will be visiting again. Thank you to the owners for creating this gem.
Nice relaxing time.
Andrew
Amazing place to stay so peaceful very clean & tidy would definitely stay again
Lovely. Will be booking again.
The holiday was amazing The owners were really nice The accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable, however, the TV reception wasn't very good and the main door was really difficult to open, so used the side door. The decking area was great and spent most of our time out there
Louisa
We all had a great time Lovely place Thankyou
Had an amazing time. Cabin was lovely amazing views and owners we're really friendly. We all enjoyed seeing the sheep, lams, geese, goslings, ducks and ducklings everyday. Pub The white lion is nice and friendly and less the 20 mins walk. Would definitely recommend.
What an absolutely beautiful lodge, I couldnt fault a thing. I wanted to escape the world for a few days and thats exactly what I did the peace and tranquility was amazing, to wake up in the morning to sheep and lambs outside your window and geese on the lake just perfect!! I would highly recommend a stay here if youre looking for a very chilled break. If I could rate it higher than 5star I absolutely would
Beautiful surroundings, tranquil, scenic, comfortable, and private! We had a fantastic few days and will be returning. The lodge was homely, clean, and tidy, with everything you need under one roof. The hot tub was perfect, enjoying late into the evening. I rarely leave feedback, but this lovely experience deserved recognition. I would recommend a visit, we also had our nineyearold son with us, who was more than occupied with the nearby walks, animals, and fishing! We are looking forward to our next visit and exploring more of the surrounding areas.

The place is brilliant, amazing location and the cabin was fantastic. Few things though, the approach road to the cabin is very rough is it possible to have some compact road than the loose stone which might damage the tyres. The most important thing missing was a toaster. If would make a great difference is you add toaster. Also the main door is bit off balance and it takes bit of pulling and lifting to lock the main door. Other than that we had very fantastic time there. Would love to visit again
Richard
We had a very lovely peaceful stay and the surroundings were beautiful, the cabin was absolutely perfect for us and I have zero complaints. I would however recommend that an electric toaster and kettle would have been nice as you couldn't make toast if the oven was in use and the kettle on the gas hob took a while to boil the water, but this is being really picky. I would stay here again for sure!
Joshua
Could do with a brush and some cleaning equipment for longer stays
Christina
Wonderful stay! Would recommend, lovely scenery and nature. Good hot tub, very spacious rooms. Only thing that would make the stay perfect is to have tea and coffee supplied.
We stayed in cedar lodge the week before Christmas. It was perfect everything you need is supplied it was clean and tidy lots of wood for the log burner . We took full advantage of the hot tub. We did come for fishing but lake was frozen for 3 days but thats winter !! We will definitely be coming back in the summer. Thankyou to the hosts for a lovely break.
Robert
Most beautiful cabin, owners really friendly and attentive. Cabin really clean and comfortable with everything provided for your needs.
Caroline
Fantastic break from start to finish, lovely comfortable cabin with everything you need supplied. I couldn't think of anything you didn't have, plenty of towels, toilet rolls, wood for log burner. Lovely hot tub. Dishwasher a lovely bonus. 2 pubs just down the road serving fab food. If i had to name a negative the country roads have no paths so not great at night but i'm sure you could arrange a taxi if there were any issues. I would not hesitate to recommend the lodges to anyone and locals made us feel very welcome, didn't want to leave and will definitely be returning.
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. Location brilliant, nothing was to much trouble for the property owners, a definite place to return to, total relaxation available on tap. Fishing good as well. Plenty of towels and beds very comfortable, cabin very clean and cozy.
Claire
My husband and I and our two teenage sons recently stayed in Cedar cabin, we absolutely loved our short stay in this lovely part of tge country. Relaxing in the hot tub with the surrounding field and lake view was just wonderful. The cabin is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, the owners have clearly thought of everything as it is equiped with everthing you would need. We will definitely be returning.
We had a lovely time! It was a bit of a push to fit 7 adults we brought an airbed but otherwise it was super relaxing and enjoyable. A page in the info folder about how to use the hot tub would have been helpful, and a net to fish out the flies. A good selection of nice days out nearby. Can definitely recommend!
We loved and enjoyed our stay

Our stay at the Cedar cabin was incredible! The place had everything you could possibly need and it made for a very relaxing few days. We definitely look forward to returning soon.
Just arrived home, after a fabulous week away, staying in the Cedar Lodge. The lodge definitely has the Wow factor from the minute you arrive. It is set on a secluded spot well away from the other lodge and pods. On the lake side with fabulous views. It is clean, has everything you need for a great stay. Hot tub, wood burner, gas bbq give it that extra touch. It is on a working farm on the outskirts of the village. Short walk to village pub and shop. Lovely walks in the area. Andy and Rob are great can't do enough for you, very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to return, would definitely recommend. Short 5 min drive away is The New Inn, fabulous pub food, and plenty of it
