Close by is Burton Constable Hall and gardens, well worth a visit, Close by is the old market town of Hedon popular Forest Church, pubs and shops, whilst the short drive to Hornsea brings you to a traditional seaside resort with long sandy beaches, a variety of interesting shops and a good selection of restaurants and country pubs. For something different take a trip to Hornsea Mere which is the largest natural lake in Yorkshire and offers sailing, fishing and boat trips.
Take a visit to Hull for a day out, which was the City of Culture for 2017 and is home to The Deep Aquatic Centre. Be sure to take a day trip to York, an hours drive, with its famous Minster, Jorvic Viking Museum and medieval streets.
