We really enjoyed the house, it’s a good size and in a lovely spot. The location meant we could walk to some nice shops, barsand restaurants. The kitchen was a bit lacking in utensilsand there weren’t enough towels for the hot tub, but overall, it was great!

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage! The location was spot on for our family weekend, especially since relatives from Canada came over. The house itself was really social, with a lovely big living and dining area that made it easy to hang out together. The pool table and hot tub were definite highlights, perfect for relaxing. We also took the kids to Melrose Abbey, which was fun for their ages with plenty of activities, arts and craftsand outdoor games. We’ll definitely return!

The gardens are a peaceful and colourful place to spend the day with a wide variety of flora and fauna on display. Other attractions here include live viewing of the Tweed Valley ospreys, a Gift Shop where children can pick up a souvenir, a Tearoom serving tasty local produce and home cooked meals, a Children's Corner, Putting Green, and a gorgeous private 2½ mile stretch on the River Tweed where visitors can enjoy Fly Fishing and a Picnic Area.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT

Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
