Orchard Hideaway is one of three fabulous open plan modern chalets, located on an organic farm in the Scottish Borders, just a few miles from the market town of Kelso. It has uninterrupted country views over the Eden and Tweed Valleys towards the Cheviot Hills that can be enjoyed from the comfort of the chalet through large glass doors, on the decking, or from your very own private wood fired hot tub. The hideaways were designed with the Hygge, cosy and simple living concept in mind. In the summer months, enjoy the thousands of organic sunflowers that adorn the land, attracting an array of birds. About Orchard Hideaway

Orchard Hideaway is one of three fabulous open plan modern chalets, located on an organic farm in the Scottish Borders, just a few miles from the market town of Kelso. It has uninterrupted country views over the Eden and Tweed Valleys towards the Cheviot Hills that can be enjoyed from the comfort of the chalet through large glass doors, on the decking, or from your very own private wood fired hot tub.

Eden Hideaway can be booked alongside Tweed Hideaway (GD1860) and Eden Hideaway (GD1861) to accommodate up to 12 guests, please get in touch for more details. Accommodation all on ground floor: Open Plan Living Area with comfortable corner sofa, wood burning stove and TV.

Dining table and seating for up to 4 guests. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Bedroom 1 with king size bed, and glass doors opening onto the decking. Bedroom 2 with twin beds and glass doors opening onto the decking.

Bathroom with large walk in shower, WC and washbasin Garden: A meadow style garden with 2 swing seats. Decking with seating.

Wood fired hot tub, external shower and storage shed. Shared tennis court.

Parking: Off road parking Heating: Electric underfloor heating. Also provided: Linen and Towels.

WiFi. Logs for the fire.

Welcome pack including home grown porridge oats. Pets: Sorry, no pets.

Conundrum Farm - EX5 3AQ
about 18 Miles
With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
Kailzie Gardens - EH45 9HT

Kailzie Gardens are another popular attraction and are an excellent place for a day out in the summertime. The gardens are a peaceful and colourful place to spend the day with a wide variety of flora and fauna on display. Other attractions here include live viewing of the Tweed Valley ospreys, a Gift Shop where children can pick up a souvenir, a Tearoom serving tasty local produce and home cooked meals, a Children's Corner, Putting Green, and a gorgeous private 2½ mile stretch on the River Tweed where visitors can enjoy Fly Fishing and a Picnic Area.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX

Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
