Overall, we had a lovely stay. The place was beautifully renovatedand the style really impressed us. We did notice a few maintenance and cleaning issues that seemed to have been raised before but weren’t fully sorted, which was a bit frustrating. The dog rules only being shared at arrival was awkwardand the hot tub’s jet pressure and broken cover did spoil some of the fun. Still, we enjoyed our time here, despite those small annoyances!
Martin
Honestly, we were pretty let down by the outside space. It’s overgrown, dirtyand the hot tub cover was ripped in two. The jets didn’t work and the water was full of leaves, which was a real shame. It’s frustrating because it’s clear the owners haven’t bothered to maintain it, even though others have pointed out the same issues before. Very disappointing.
Emma
The location is quite convenient, right on the main road with easy access through a lane to the garden. Inside, the cottage is lovely-really well kept and comfortable. However, the garden isn’t very pet friendly; dogs aren’t allowed on furniture or in the bedroom, which was a bit of a letdown for us. Access to the garden involves walking out the front door then to a back gate, so it requires some control over the dogs. Overall, it’s a nice spot for couples willing to travel around, but the garden and hot tub could do with some maintenance. The welcome basket was a nice touch!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay! The cottage had everything we needed and was a perfect spot for exploring Edinburgh, the bordersand Northumberland.
Emma
The cottage was fantastic, super well stocked and in a perfect spot. Loved the walks nearbyand the welcome pack was lovely!
Emma
This cottage is a fantastic spot to explore Berwickshire and the surrounding Border towns. Very clean, well-equippedand perfect for a chilled out break!
Emma Parker
What a lovely stay! The cottage is cosy and perfectly situated for exploring the area, with plenty of attractions just half an hour away. We enjoyed some great walks nearbyand the town is charming with friendly locals. The only tiny downside was the fridge-it’s a bit on the small side, so we had to shop more regularly. But honestly, it didn’t ruin anything. We’d definitely return, it’s such a nice spot!
Alex
The cottage was super cosy and nicely decorated, making it a perfect spot to explore the east coast of Scotland. Thanks a lot! We'd happily come back again.

We’d been looking forward to staying here after reading all the reviews, but honestly, the hot tub area was a letdown. The cover was broken, filthyand a real pain to lift and put back. The whole space looked neglected, with a BBQ cover just lying around and the table was grubby. The annoying spotlight kept turning on every time we moved, which was frustrating. On the plus side, the lodge was well equippedand the log burner was lovely. The bed was low with an open coil mattress, but the staff handled a few issues well.
Emma
Lovely cottage overall, but it’d be perfect with direct garden access; loved the welcome basket though!
Emma
The cottage was stunning and super cosy, perfect for exploring the coast. Everything was spotless and well-stocked, making our stay easy. The surprise welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again!
Emma
The cottage was spotless, comfyand had everything we needed. Perfect Christmas escape-super cosy and really relaxing too!
Martin
The house was really nice, cleanand modern, which we appreciated. The hot tub was fantastic, even though it’s not directly connected to the house. Duns is such a charming spot with plenty of eateries and fun places nearby. We loved exploring the forest and river walks with our dog!
Emma
We just got back from a lovely week at this charming cottage. It’s super clean and really welcoming, perfect for a peaceful break. Everything was well thought out for our one-year-old. The location is ideal, close to several lovely towns. Duns itself was a delight with plenty nearby. Would definitely return!
Sam
We had a really lovely time at the cottage and found it perfect as a base for exploring the nearby castles, stately homesand those breathtaking coastal walks. The place itself was cosy and well-kept. The only thing to note is that, despite being advertised as dog friendly, there are quite a few rules, particularly about the garden access through the back gate. Apart from that, we’d definitely stay again and recommend it to friends. Definitely a nice spot!
Emma
We had a lovely stay at this cottage! The kitchen was well stockedand the bed was super comfy. The shower was greatand the enclosed garden with the hot tub was a real treat. It’s so handy that it’s just a short walk into the village with shops, pubsand cafes. Plus, plenty of dog walks nearby. The welcome pack, especially the dog chews, was a lovely touch!
Oliver
We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean, warmand had everything we needed. We knew beforehand there was no back door, but having to go out the front and around to let the dog out was a bit of a hassle, especially since the garden is Astra turfed and the dog isn’t allowed to biz. The location is fantastic - perfect for walking through Duns Square and into Duns Castle Estate. Plus, North Berwick is only half an hour away, which is great for days out!
Sam
We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was super clean and well-equipped, making it really cosy especially with the log burner going. The hot tub was a real treat after a day of walking with our dogs. Location was perfect for exploring - loads of lovely walks nearby, beaches about half an hour awayand Loch Lomond just over two hours but totally worth the trip. The local folks were friendly too. We definitely want to come back! Great place, great areaand a truly lovely time overall.
James

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
