We stayed here with my granddaughter who is neuro diverse. Both inside and out were just so Peaceful and calm. Warm and comfy beds and bedrooms. So well equipped, everything thought of. She loved the games room it was a winner with the pool table .. The hot tub was so relaxing. So quiet sitting in it. Merry Barn is a well maintained and relaxing property- a well stocked kitchen with everything you will need the layout is great and flows very well on all ground level. All the beds a very comfy and the hot tub is an excellent addition to add to the relaxation element of the property ,if you are looking for a relaxing holiday with all the creature comforts of home and more look no further than Merry Barn. I highly recommend this property. The barn is even more stunning than on the photos and the owners are lovely. The property if very private, but the next village (with a lovely local shop) is only 5 to 10 minutes drive away. Fabulous beaches, hiking spots and restaurants are all within 20 to 30 minutes drive. There are many exciting activities to d o in East Devon and it is less crowded compared to Cornwall. We will be back for sure.

What a lovely place! The last part of our journey there was along a single track road in beautiful Devonshire countryside. Our hosts greeted us & showed us around. The accommodation was roomy & comfortable. The kitchen had all that we needed to cook up good meals and there was plenty of room for our supplies. We enjoyed the hot tub, even in a cool & wet January! Games were available for our evenings as well as a well equipped games room. Our stay was short but memorable!

Such a lovely stay away. Dave greeted us with a pot of tea and scones, which was needed after a long drive, due to traffic. Property flowed perfectly with good areas for the kids to play as well as adult to have a hub to relax too Location was beautiful. Sunrise across the fields, and far enough out of the way from others, but close to towns, shop s and restaurants. We visited a few local pubs and all owners and the food had good reviews by all in our party. Thanks Dave for a lovely break.

Games room and basketball hoop especially good for teenagers in the party. Hot tub was a lovely treat too. Outside area was lovely. We were a party of 6 adults and two toddlers. Merry Barn was perfect in size and layout. It had something for everyone to relax and enjoy the holiday. We were especially thankful for the safe, enclosed grounds which allowed our toddlers to roam as they wanted. We had a brilliant week at Merry Barn. My three grandchildren didn't want to come home. They were either in the garage (games room), the hot tub or in a hammock. Clean, comfortable, very well equipped and very, very peaceful. Owners were very welcoming and amenable. I must admit I could have managed a few more days.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we never wanted to go home, it was brilliant, we felt so much at ease by Dave and Sarahs welcome and they were there for us if we needed anything, the location is perfect for a family with children, you have got major supermarkets only 10 minutes away and a bustling high street with some lovely pubs, closer to home is a lovely little village with a traditional country pub which served top quality food, 30-45 mins away are several beaches, we absolutely loved it.

This is an ideal property to get away from the usual day to day noises and distractions. The facilities and games provided are really good and is a real home from home. Its really worth taking up the offer of barbeque meat from Dave as its very tasty and great quality. Access to the barn is easy and you soon get used to single track roads. Its wort h a trip to Dave's farm as well. All in all, a great location and would book again.

Exceptional cottage with highly respectful owners who helped us to every step of the way and even gave us a lift to the shops and the station. 8 teenage boys and no sense of any misinterpreted assumptions were sensed. The place itself is incredibly clean and homely and the jacuzzi accompanied by an unbelievable view is the cherry on top. Every bit of cutlery you can think of is there, showers are prefect, beds are comfy, games room is great. tumble dryer/washing machine top notch. STAY HERE!

Merry Barn is probably the best holiday accommodation I have ever stayed in. The house is very well designed with the bedrooms (with very comfy beds) away from the noise of the living space and loads of room for everyone. Outside is stunning and so tranquil without any traffic noise at all and hammocks strung between trees to enjoy the beautiful co untryside views from. The attention to detail was noted with flowers on the table and a cream tea provided for us. We could have stayed forever!

An amazing place, fantastic, quite location with beautiful field views. The facilities are exemplary as is the finish, a very luxurious cottage, representing value for money. The owners made us feel very welcome and made sure that we had everything we need. There is lots of seating arrangements, which made social eating and talking special. The ham mocks were especially welcome! The location was great for us, very quiet but walkable to the local pub (which served great cheap pub grub).
