Enjoy Devon living at its best here in this beautiful barn conversion surrounded by rolling fields and views out to sea. The small collection of properties on-site gives a charming village feel, and thoughtful extras like a secure dog walking paddock are ideal for group bookings. The house has bags of character despite a modern renovation and is peppered with artfully exposed stone walls. The farmhouse-style kitchen has a family-size fridge/freezer so you can happily stock up once and concentrate on really relaxing. Round everyone up for laid-back brunches at the chunky pine dining table while you hatch plans for the days ahead, and if the weather’s fine, open up the double doors and let the sea breeze drift in. The separate living room is a great hub for the group to gather at the end of an active day, with a cosy wood burner and TV when you’re all too relaxed to chat. French doors from the living room lead out to a sun-drenched decked area that runs the length of the house. Sit on the benches and enjoy distant sea views across the shared dog exercising paddock or walk down to the other end for a soak in the secluded hot tub. A BBQ is on hand when no-one wants to tear themselves away from the summer sun. The four double bedrooms are spread over two floors, with one from each level available as twin rooms on request, and a fresh modern look throughout. A shower room on the ground floor and bathroom upstairs will accommodate the morning routines, getting you out and about in no time.

Cottage was immaculately clean. Owners were warm and friendly, pool, hot tub & sauna were a nice touch. During bad weather our child was entertained in the games room. A lovely cottage stay in Hartland. Our hosts were very welcoming and patient with our two boys who enjoyed asking them lots of questions! The cottage itself had everything that we needed for our stay in a clean modern kitchen and lounge with the two bedrooms and bathroom on the floor below. The onsite swimming pool was enjoyed by us all and the acc ess to a field for the boys to play with their toys was also enjoyed. Location-wise, we found this good for exploring the local area.

Our stay at the cottage was great, very clean, everything we needed to cook and it was very comfortable. Using the pool table and hot tub was a great way to spend an evening. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Only slight downside was the very creaky floor making a racket for downstairs, the twin bedroom is not suitable for light sleepers ! Will be back with the dog to stay in another cottage.
