We had a great stay in October 23. The barn is so welcoming. It was warm and clean and so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was ready to go for us and Shirley welcomed us instantly to make us feel at home. There was a lovely welcome pack including homemade scones which was a lovely touch. Kids went with Mike to feedRead more the farm animals and both Mike and Shirley were amazing hosts. You do need to be up to tackling small farm roads if you are travelling about Hide

What a lovely, relaxing place to spend a holiday. You can't help but feel calmer and happier as the week progresses. The children's play area + the farm animals were very popular with our 3 year old granddaughter and the hot tub was a firm favourite with the adults!!! Fantastic accommodation, well equipped for our stay and so nice to hear the sheepRead more, ducks and birdsong daily. Hosts were so welcoming as were Millie & Fern their dogs. We appreciated the tasty welcome pack and would love to return. Hide

We enjoyed a lovely week this charming barn conversion situated in a very rural location.Narrow roads with tall hedges leads you to the farm where a warm welcome awaits you from Mike and Shirley. The barn is well equipped, has everything you need and feels like a home, we loved it. This is a working farm, but it wasnt noisy at all and it was lovely to wake up and see the sheep in the orchard ..just beautiful . After busy days we sat in the hot tub at night looking at the stars perfect

A really lovely place. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and on hand if we needed them. A very safe place for the kids to play and they loved the variety of different animals that they could meet! Would definitely recommend

A very rural barn conversion found after travelling along tiny Devon lanes. This ancient building makes a comfy holiday retreat. All around you are the sounds of the countryside - cows mooing, sheep bleating, cockerels crowing (not so welcome at 4.00 in the morning!!) and the chatter of numerous little birds. Mike and Shirley are the kindest hosts and happy to talk about the farm and show you some of the animals. Our grandson says he will miss Apollo and Annie (the ponies)!

We stayed with our daughter and the 2 toddling grandkids. The barn was perfect, safe for the little ones to run about inside and out and very comfortable. Lovely waking up to no sounds but the animals and birds and the hot tub was a great end to some busy days out. The location is very rural which we love but you can get to most attractions, the mo orland or the coast in under an hour. Shirley, Mike Cox & family, and the locals, were so welcoming and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

Well what can I say this holiday cottage exceeded all our expectations and more, Shirley and Mike were so welcoming and they always put themselves out to make sure we were comfortable and happy , I really couldnt thank them enough. The welcome scones were yummy and the hot tub was a god send, my children were in their element and loved all the anim als, especially Millie & Fern the farm dogs. If you love being in the middle of the countryside then you will love it here!!

The most wonderful home from home stay. Will absolutely be returning. So educational for the children and grown ups, to see how a working farm is run. Shirley and Mike are so welcoming, the fresh scones were delicious, with the house being so well equipped that it really does have everything you could imagine! Sad to be home, really wish we had boo ked for longer.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, the owners couldnt have been more welcoming towards us, the freshly baked scones were such a nice touch! We had such a relaxing and peaceful week here in such a beautiful and secluded location. It was really appreciated how the owners involved the children in the feeding routine on the farm. This alone was such a great experience for them, which has given them memories to treasure forever!

We spent a perfect week in the 1450 Barn (couple and 2 children, 3 and pre-toddler) at the end of May. The location is a wonderful working farm and the host family live on site and are so friendly and kind. The property feels secluded and peaceful among all of the farm bustle. The enclosed garden is great for kids, the hot tub is tranquil and the a ccommodation had everything we needed for our family. Amazing beaches and fun days out all within 30-60 mins drive. We're already planning our return!

Perfect getaway for some peace and tranquility in the countryside.Cox family was a great host with their warm hospitality. This Barn was warm, cosy and well equipped. Lots of farm animals to see.We had a wonderful time here with the children.
Jonathan
Amazing place with a very warm welcome from the owners. Ideally located for Dartmoor and the north and south coasts.
Vivien
Lovely cosy place to stay. The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and had left us a cream tea and other goodies. Millie the dog was a welcome daily visitor. The weather was variable but this did not detract from our enjoyment and we even managed a couple of dips in the hot tub. Would recommend the Duke of Yo rk and the New Inn for a good meal out. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this cottage and hope to return one day.
