Enjoy romantic breakfasts at the table, looking out of the floor-to-ceiling windows across the fields. On sunny days, dine alfresco in the enclosed wrap-around garden; sizzle up a BBQ for dinner before jumping in the hot tub.

Back inside, neutral decor in the lounge makes it a cosy place to relax after a long day of exploring, snuggled up on the sofa in front of the Smart TV. At bedtime, head upstairs to the tranquil bedroom with superb views from your bedside.

Finally, a shower room with calming blue tones completes the property. Head off to stunning Portreath Beach (5.5 miles) for the day or visit the dramatic cliffs of Basset Cove (6.5 miles).

Try kayaking or canoeing at Stithians Lake (2 miles) or enjoy a more sedate afternoon in Porthleven (10.5 miles) where you can tuck into fish and chips or a drink as you watch the world go by. Don’t forget a visit to the Poldark Mine (5 miles) if you’re a fan of the TV series.

The award winning Newquay Zoo makes a fun family day out in North Cornwall.  With over 130 different species of animals to see and plenty of fun activities for the kids this attraction is ideal.  Recent additions to the zoo include the African Savanna and the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit.  Kids will love the play area, face painting, tarzan trail and animal encounters.  Different events tale place throughout the year such as the Halloween Zoo Boo family fun event on 31st October.
Dairyland Farm World - TR8 5AA

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
