Fox Whelp is a delightful holiday cottage. One of the cleanest places weve ever stayed in. The kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of crockery and glasses provided. We made full use of the log burner and the hot tub. A very peaceful area - only 20mins walk to the local golf club. They do a good Sunday roast and also have a childrens menu. Great c entral spot with easy driving to the coast, Wells and Cheddar. This was our second visit to Fox Whelp and we plan to return again next year.

The location was great - just a couple of minutes drive from the pretty village of Wedmore and with easy access to the beaches at Burnham, Brean and Berrow and inland to Wells and Glastonbury. First off, the photographs of the cottage do not do it justice. It is really lovely. So is the garden, the orchard and the surrounding area. It you want a really peaceful, quiet holiday with beautiful surroundings this is the place for you. The hot tub is an added bonus. Lots to do in the surrounding area (you will definitely need a car) and take t owels (they are not provided).

This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island. And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see.
