The Old Dairy - Mundesley Reviews

Carolyn
We loved the property, parking was fine, extra cars could park easily on the road. We loved the outside seating and the hot tub. The house was well equipped with most things and it actually felt like home. The kitchen/dining space was excellent and my partner enjoyed the sitting room with the large TV. The beds were very comfortable (what make wRead moreere the mattresses?). I slept very well. Bathrooms were excellent and showers good. A very special, comfortable place to stay, especially with a large family group. I was only able to meet the owners once which was a shame as I would have liked to meet them properly but they are charming and helpful. I can highly recommend this property and who knows, we may have the opportunity to visit again in the future. Hide

A beautiful modern stylish home with a great garden space and hot tub for all the family. The location is perfect, not far from the beach and other village amenities. Just back from a fantastic week at The Old Dairy. The property is like a home from home, beautifully decorated and huge amount of space for everyone (7 of us plus the dogs) . The garden is nice size, outdoor seating is perfect space for evening drinks & hot tub is great for a lazy soak after a busy day. Ian and Jacqui are fantastic hosts and made uRead mores all very welcome, they are very knowledgeable of the local area and recommended some great options on things to do and places to eat and drink. We had a great family holiday at Dairy Court. The house and garden are lovely. The house is very spacious, there were nine of us staying and it was not at all cramped. The location is brilliant, great for exploring the North Norfolk Coast. We also booked a boat from Wroxham to spend a relaxing day on the Broads. The little shops, amusements and beRead moreach in Mundesley are at a short walking distance. The Butcher sells the most delicious homemade pies. There are two good gift shops and a charity shop supporting the Lifeboat. The Porthole had delicious coffee, cakes and lunches. The Hot Tub went down well with some family members. The owners made sure it was regularly cleaned etc. The huge screen, complete with play station stuff, was a huge hit with our boys aged 13 and 16. All in all, we had a truly memorable family holiday. We had the most amazing few days here and Jackie and Ian were lovely and friendly. We were 3 families (grand parents, and two young families with 3 kids between us) and the space here was perfect. House and garden was just perfect and it felt like a home from home. Bottle of wine on arrival a lovely touch too. Hot tub was lovely for the evening once the kids were asleep and the owners who live next door keep the hot tub nice and clean and topped up with chemicals. Thanks for having us and cant wait to stay here again! Hide

We had a brilliant stay at The Old Dairy last weekend. It's a very well equipped, large three-storey house with a nice sized garden and a big hot tub that's perfect for relaxing in the evening. Everything is catered for and it's also only 10 minutes walk to the beach front. We'd highly recommend.
Paul
Amazing property and amazing hosts! Would come back in a heartbeat as its the perfect property for the area.
Ian
We had a lovely stay and it was just like home from home. The owners of the house (Ian & Jackie) couldnt do enough for you, very nice people. I would highly recommend staying there.

We had a wonderful long weekend at The Old Dairy in Mundesley. Three generations of us gathered for a family occasion. We could not fault the accommodation or hosts. The property itself has charming character, with a high spec finish, lots of extra touches and beautiful interior. The pictures really do not do it justice. The Old Dairy is very spaciRead moreous, with more than adequate room for full occupancy, plus a dog. I especially liked the art work and soft furnishings. Accommodation had literally everything and more you could possibly need for a short or long break. Family games and beach toys/equipment, were a nice touch too. It was like a home from home. Complimentary tea and coffee, cleaning and personal provisions, alongside a welcome hamper (with wine and other necessities!), fresh flower arrangements were a particularly nice touch. The large dining table was an excellent base for eating, conversations and playing games. The garden is as beautiful as the house, we especially enjoyed the garden lights while we made the most of the hot tub in the evenings. Just a short walk from the village, pubs, shops and beach, with everything in easy reach, it provided the ideal location. Everything was immaculate, fresh and clean, with the hot tub being checked/cleaned regularly. That said we felt very comfortable as an extended family, making full use of everything and making ourselves at home. A perfect break in the perfect accommodation, we would definitely return and highly recommend. Ian and Jackie were wonderful attentive hosts, without being intrusive, offered friendly chats in passing and on standby if we needed anything. Thanks for a really wonderful stay! Hide

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 9 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 10 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 15 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 23 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 28 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
