Beachgetaway Reviews

Property is an excellent position, 2 mins from the beach Housekeepers let the property down, no response. Nappy left outside lower ground floor, and dog poo in garden. Outside shower room had not been cleaned as there was paper on the floor. Boiler problem, no hot water & heating, no response from housekeeper. Sykes responded, however it takes a while to get through. Direct contact was made with owner which was much quicker. WiFi password has been changed so no access, the password in the visitors guide has been blanked out. Three of us tried the password on back of router multiple times, we had to leave a day early due to me having to do some work and attend a teams meeting. Entrance could do with a make over, door propped open with pebble to prevent it from locking. Not good if you have small children or dogs.Letterbox hanging off and rusty nail hanging off letterbox
Deborah
Everything we needed. Nobody has had any complaints!
Stay was great but only one toilet roll and no spare bin bags
Jacqueline
We had a lovely break, the house was comfortable, clean and ideally situated. I would recommend this booking to any family. The hot tub was a hit and also the collection of childrens dvds. Fully equipped for a self catering holiday. Would definitely book again
Loverly place ,I will comeing back again

Stayed for two nights in an all adult group. Can't recommend this property enough. Perfect location near the beach, shops and local cafes, and the hot tub and garden area were fantastic. House was clean and welcoming, and there's a BBQ in the outdoor storage so make sure you have a grill master in the group to make full use of it! We will definitely be using this property again.

Exactly what the name suggests a great beach getaway. Perfect location and the set up was ideal for my family especially the grandchildren.

We were a family of 7 adults, one teenager and a couple of dogs and we found the property warm, comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was ready and the beach is right on the doorstep. The accommodation is the ground floor and basement flat which is why I thought the description could be clearer. The basement contains two bedrooms and has beams. I was okay but my 6ft2 husband and 6ft Brother had to take care. We spent our time walking and exploring outdoors. Our Mum and Dad have less mobility so, being able to walk onto the beach from the house was ideal. The cooker and oven were great to use.
Alison
This was the perfect base for a family beach holiday. It was cosy and relaxed, comfy beds, really well equipped, brilliant location and good value for money. We loved it and well definitely be back the hot tub was an added bonus.
Extremely happy with our stay, we wanted a stay where we were close to the beach and a secure back garden for the dog. So we were happy and the dog loved it.
The kitchen was great. The basement was strange but we got used to it. The back bedrooms and bathroom were well presented and comfy The first bedroom on the right was very disappointing. The bedding was solid. The pillows were flat. No hanging space for clothes. Ensuite was a small cupboard, good job we didn't bring a cat!. The shower was grubby with dirt in the grouting. Under the front window there was a constant drift of paint or plaster flakes from the wall! Very strange. We couldn't get the TV to work so we phoned the number given, which was the wrong number. The new number was on answer machine. Left our details but no one bothered to respond. That just about summed up the care they offer their customers. We made our holiday great despite the disappointing accommodation. We will not be using this again.
Loved this beach property it was family and dog perfect and we felt very relaxed and comfortable there. The hot tub was a bonus. We had a problem with the key box and Sykes dealt with that quickly and efficiently. No issues with the property at all.
Caroline
The house was very well equipped and large enough for us all. A little tired in places so could do with a little tlc. Perfect location and lovely outlook. Bedding needed replacing as slightly old and worn.
Sharon
Beautiful property . Very close to the beach The only down side was the leak in the downstairs bathroom the 1st time the toilet was flushed which meant we couldnt use the bathroom for the remainder of the holiday & the carpet in the double room was wet as a result . We would definitely use again though
Stephen
It's a fantastic location, but I think fixing the entrance door really should be a job done as soon as possible as the first impression is for sure damaged by the door being half open with a letter box hanging off. Love the Hot tub, love the general beach house 'vibe'. I would book again but I can see why some would be put off by it looking a bit tired.
What a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful beaches in and around Rhosneigr. The property delivers everything you need to enjoy a family holiday, lots of room for everyone. Having the back yard enclosed with the hot tub was a bonus.
Very good the front garden was a mes and the front door did not look good
Carolyn
Fantastic location just seconds from the beach . Spacious clean modern house family and dog friendly . Very well equipped with everything you need . The hot tub in the garden was lovely .
Esther
Fantastically located property, great set up for sharing and with children, we will be back soon
Caroline
Fabulous location and very spacious and comfy house. Great for dogs too. Could have done with 3rd double bed but thats the only improvement point.
Michelle
The house was full of dog hair. There was a poo bag left at the front door and some dog poo in the back garden. Although Sykes requested the cleaner to come again, no one showed. We cleaned it ourselves! The decor was dated and a tired. There were boxes of botties and cans around the back of the garage that hadnt been collected and the neighbour said that they had complained about this already, but nothing had been done. On the bright side, great location for the beach and the hot tub was fab.
Great time was had by all
Its our third visit to the property and noticed thr tumble dryer has gone , thr freezer needs defrosting as it was covered in ice .
Lovely flat. Plenty of room. Comfy beds.. the lower floor is a bit challenging for people over 6ft. Low ceilings. The property was lovely great location. Could do with a bit of modernising ie dishwasher seal was broken and had to fix every day. Bathrooms tired and no blinds in main bathroom which is overlooked by neighbours.
A great location. A big spacious house with plenty of bedrooms. When arrived at property heating wasnt working contacted owner who sent help within 10 mins. Heating worked for a short time but then stopped again, we had to bleed the radiators then it was fine. Hot tub rules rules clearly stated we could sit in hot tub until 11pm, had a phone call from Sykes at 2220 asking us to get out of the hot tub as she contacted the owner who said it was past the recommended time when it wasnt. We felt after that we couldnt relax and enjoy the time in the hot tub which is why we chose that specific property to chill in the hot tub.
Charlotte
Lovely house in excellent location ten steps from the beach. Excellent place for walking, paddle boarding, kite surfing and swimming. This is our usual summer trip to Anglesey and we werent disappointed with a new venue.
Nicola
We had a large group staying in this place 4 adults, 3 toddlers and 2 dogs. The location is brilliant as its just 30 seconds away from the beach, plus its right near the fish and chip shop, a one stop shop and a pizza shop. As for the house its more of a ground floor and basement. The upstairs is a flat. On the ground floor there is the living room which is lovely and it has a large dining table. Next to that is the en suite bedroom and then next to that are three steps down into the kitchen. The kitchen is tired and wasnt great for such a large group. There was a small under counter fridge and a dishwasher that really struggled to wash anything even though we rinsed everything first. The hob is electric and took a while to heat up and the oven had no markings on the knobs so you had to guess which setting you were on and which temperature. Off the kitchen is a corridor and this has two small kids bedrooms and a nice family bathroom, although the window handle on the bathroom needs replacing as it doesnt shut properly. Back to the kitchen and theres a door down to the basement. Down here are two bedrooms one double and one kids room. Theres also a large family bathroom down here but only really able to use the bath for the kids as the loo says no number 2s! Theres a play room with a little sofa and tv and toys which is brilliant and a washing machine and small under counter freezer. There are double doors off the play room that open out onto steps up into the garden. Back to the kitchen and theres a back door which opens up halfway down some steps! The steps going up leads to the flat so they also have access to the garden so not great for kids and dogs and then down the steps goes to the garden, which is paved. There is a hot tub which I only used once as it felt cold. I emailed the owner and apparently it was supposed to run at that temperature 37 degrees so I just left it and didnt use it again. Overall, Sykes the company are brilliant and had a really easy website and helpful staff on the end of the phone. As for this property, it was ok and the best thing was how near it was to the beach. A lot could be done to make this property amazing eg taking care of the tired kitchen, taking care of the furniture including the tired playroom sofa and fixing the window handle in the main bathroom.
Robert
Brilliant accommodation, comfortable beds. Beach just a short walk away. We had some amazing meals in the little high street, all worth trying. Lovely warm house.
Christina
The heating was really difficult to use and was not on for our arrival in March. The downstairs bathroom has lots of advisory notices like only urination is allowed! The shower is extremely low with a low ceiling so if your taller than 5 ft 6 forget it. The downstairs bedrooms have no windows which is claustrophobic. The location is fantastic it was great that it was dog friendly the hot tub was a bonus.
It is always nice to arrive to a small welcome hamper so you can have a cup of tea and some toastbiscuitscake. Unfortunately that wasn't the case here, but that said the accommodation was so wonderful it was only a minor complaint as shops were nearby. The hot tub is a lovely luxury and was welcome. The beach is literary seconds away and is a wonderful beach to boot, sand, shells and rock pools. Would definitely look to return in the future
Just returned home after a fabulous 3 day break
The location was perfect, close to the beach everything we needed with walking distance. Perfect for dog walking too, our dogs had an amazing time on the beach.
An absolutely brilliant holiday let. Fabulous facilities, great location. We will definitely be back
A lovely weekend in a lovely house, plenty of room for all the family. The house was lovely clean on arrival. Couldnt work the heating but the guy came straight round and sorted it for us. A big thumbs up
We were 3 generations ,from 1 upwards, and the facilities suited all of us, from the playroom for the children to the hot tub for adults. Appreciated the washing machine and electric drying rack !. Having the bedrooms in 3 separate areas worked really well, giving some private time too. The huge table in the bay window fitted all of us too, with lovely sea views and being so close to the beach was fantastic. The island has such lovely places to visit, so we went to Sea Shanty in Trearddur for a special family celebration meal, and some had a Puffin Island boat trip, but otherwise we were quite happy playing on the beach. A lovely time spent in a lovely house. Thank you, Sara
Louise
The house is in transition from management by owner to a management company this will be very helpful. The folder was complex to use, we struggled with the heating, fans, and were disapointed with the household equipment. On second day had to go and get bin bags! There was no equipment for hot tub despite 3 pages in brochure telling us all we had to do. After3 days when chlorine tablets ran out i rang the housekeepers and he got straight back to me telling me where they were. We left a detail list of our comments so i hope improvements are made. 7 of us went and it worked well for us, furniture needs abit of tlc. However that said good house, good location!
