Y Gogarth Reviews

Its a beautiful house, and just perfect for a family group. Spotlessly clean, everything we needed, space for us all, and the perfect location. All this and the hot tub too! We had a wonderful time and hope to be back soon
Pauline

Denise
Lovely place to stay excellent area with great beach a short walk away. Fantastic location for shops, local attractions and places to eat. Great secure garden for dogs and hot tub a bonus. All facilities in the accommodation to a very high standard. Hosts extremely helpful for any queries.
Alicja
Excellent location with good and spacious accommodation. The hot tub after a long days walking was an added bonus. All amenities close by including pubs, shops, a butcher and an award winning fish and chip shop. Fabulous beach just a few minutes walk away too.
Amazing stay at our favourite place on Anglesey we have been to. House is brilliant, loved the living room setup and kitchen. Dogs loved the garden. Stayed in the area every year so knew the location would be great. Only pointer would be a cover over the hot tub in winter, can imagine the rain would stop you using it most of the time, we got a great use out of it however!
Shelley
Lovely house in a great location. Can't fault a thing. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds very comfortable. Everyone loved the hot tub. Would benefit from somewhere to dry clothestowels etc. Maybe dryer or washing line.
This was our second time at the property. It's perfect for us. Clean and easy to keep clean with 2 young children sand from the beach gets everywhere. The hot tub is great and having a few games and DVDs to play on wet days is a real help. We cannot fault the place and hope to be back again next year.
We stayed for a week in this wonderful holiday home celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and my son and daughter in laws 8th Anniversary. The house was spotless with everything we needed. The garden was secure for our grandchildren and a little dog. The hot tub was an added bonus. It's in walking distance from the beach, shops, restaurants and local entertainment. On a rainy day there are lots of museums to visit within a short drive. The owners were very helpful and kind, we recieved a delivery of prosecco to help us celebrate our anniversaries. The drainer on the sink was leaking, which they replaced within a day. We would definitely stay here again, plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 children and a dog. The sea view was brilliant but the pictures on the website doesn't give it the justice it deserved. The house exceeded our expectations, we highly recommend staying here.
We had a fantastic stay here, there was pretty much every thing we needed and the owners responded really quickly to any queries we had. Great location.
Rachel
WoW! What a fantastic find this cottage was! A real home from home, with a splash of luxury and perfect location. The owners are very attentive to the detail in this property their communication is brilliant and extremely helpful. The kitchen is better equipped than my own house with quality appliances, glasses, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Immaculate presentation and clean. The views are amazing and the garden is a perfect spot to relax after a long day exploring the island. We had a number of BBQs. The showers and bath were both perfect for a busy family with children. Even the dog was chilled out and enjoyed the stay. The cottage is lovely and warm. Thank you to the owners and Sykes for a great first experience of self catering in Anglesey.
Cottage very cold. Had to text a few times to get it warm. Spent over 100 pound on logs to keep warm. Lots plates chipped teapot spit chipped not usable. One huge frying pan needs more kitchen utensils. Fridge door sticks all the time. Underfloor heating turned off not in use drive way very tight. . Liked hot tub garden great decent barbecue. Great location. Nice friendly neighbours.

Just back from a week at this stunning property. 5 adults and one large dog. So much space inside so you dont feel on top of each other. The property is of a high standard and beautifully done. Everything you need they have thought of. Lounge is large, bright but cosy. Kitchen is beautiful with everything provided. Bedrooms and beds very comfy. Garden is fantastic to sit out and enjoy. Its very dog safe which is the first thing we look for when searching for holiday homes to be honest! Plenty of room for games of bowls etc. in the garden too. A short walk to the beach which is just fabulous. Our dog loved it! Tavern on the bay is a lovely spot along the dog beach for a stop off drink and rest. Red wharf bay is just a bit further along the coast and a great little cafe restaurant there called the Boathouse which serves lovely food. We also had a meal at The Breeze Hill at the top of the main road and its one of the best meals weve had.. portions are huge though so beware! Lots of great local shops too. We would highly recommend this property and have already booked again for next year.
Claire
This is our 3rd stay at Y Gogarth. A beautiful property, that feels like home with a hot tub to return to after a days exploring on the Island. A fully enclosed safe garden for the dog, our Louie loves returning here. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen equipped with everything you would possibly need during your stay. Lots of walks from the door and many more around the island. Beautiful beach just a two minutes walk away. Thank you again, for our wonderful week away, see you next year, Claire.
Barbara
We had a lovely time at Y Gogarth. Beautifully presented house. Great location. Highly recommended.
We have recently stayed at Y Gogarth and had the most wonderful time. We will definitely be re booking in the future. The only one critique was that on the day of arrival we couldn't use the hot tub as it wasn't ready. So we missed a day of using it. Other than that, it was perfect.
Lovely place for family get together
Samantha
Great cottage and a fabulous location. House had everything needed
Michelle
We spent a week in this lovely house. It was the perfect location with a short walk to a beautiful beach. While here we celebrated a 50th birthday. The house had everything we needed lovely views, log burners, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds fabulous hot tub with sea views. The garden was enclosed and a good size for the dog to run around.
Rachael
A lovely weekend spent in this comfortable house which has been furnished to a high standard, the house itself is huge and ample room for 8 adults and a dog. A fabulous large table in the kitchen provided a focal point for us all to come together to eat. The hot tub is a bonus and quietly positioned at the top of the garden, it does have steep steps for anyone with mobility issues. Due to holidaying in January we were unable to enjoy the garden, but I imagine it would be lovely in summer. Its set in a very quiet area, no traffic noise and a wonderful view of the sea when you are washing up! The house was spotlessly clean and the beds had good quality mattresses, ample towels that were good quality nothing is cheap in this house. Plenty of take aways and small cafes in Benllech itself as well as a Spa, Coop and Tesco Express, the beach is a short walk down a steep hill and is stunning, there is of course the walk back up the steep hill which was a good workout after all the weekend treats. My only negative would be an additional sofa, for 8 people it was a squeeze, but we took it in turns on the bean bags. I would highly recommend this house and will be going back. Thank you.
Fantastic stay. The house has everything very spacious and very modern. Immaculate when we arrived. Owners always respond with any questions in minutes. Will rebook !
Leanne
Only mark down is for facilities as the steps to the hot tub are steep and I slipped down them as it had been raining some grips are a must. Other than that we had a great stay and will be back
Wonderful stay. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and welshcakes! Milk, coffee and tea also available. Very welcome after a long drivetrain ride. Cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained with people coming to trim lawns and wash windows during the week. Showers were amazing and beds comfortable. Hot tub instructions were missing from the book so the owner supplied all the details by phone which was great. Much enjoyed by my daughters after a long walk on the beach. We like to bake and would have appreciated bowls, a rolling pin etc but improvised with a saucepan and wine bottle!! People in Benllech were so friendly. Would definitely come again.
Excellent property all round. Visited in September 2023 with family and 2 large dogs. Perfect location for exploring the area and the property has a totally doggy safe garden. Boot room a fab addition and great place for dogs to sleep after a tiring day on the fabulous beaches. Beautiful house with everything you might need and the luxury touch of the hot tub too! We were 4 adults so ample room and the luxury of having a bathroom for each couple. Great communication from owners who were very helpful when we left an item behind. Benllech itself has good facilities, we dont dine out due to the booking being with dogs but ordered take out from the Benllech Tandoori which was very good as was fish and chips from Finleys. Portreath beach a short ride away is an amazing expanse of sand at low tide, perfect for your pooches to have a run. Other must visits Beaumaris, Newborough, Trearddur Bay, South Stack, Red Wharf Bay and Bull Bay where we were luck enough to glimpse the Porpoises. A great holiday and a lovely part of the world. We will definitely return!
Fantastic lovely home with great views of the sea. Everything you could want and need to have was provided for and great for the little ones too. Clean and spacious with a fabulous hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. Great location to the beach and also the town for shops and restaurants. Highly recommended for anyone to enjoy.
Jennifer
A beautiful house, in a perfect location. Thoughtfully and comfortably furnished and equipped. The utility room is huge and so useful for the coats, boots, shoes, beach things. We spent lots of time bubbling in the hot tub, with views of the sea peeking between the houses. The lovely Sandy beach is only a few minutes walk away, and you can walk either way along the coastal path. Benllech is a lovely village with shops for all supplies, and a quite a few places to eat or get takeaways, we went to the golden fry for fish and chips plus vegan options which was fantastic. Highly recommend psyched paddle boarding at Menai bridge as an activity.
Louise
We came for a 2 week holiday with 2 kids, 2 dogs and 6 adults. Comfortable place. Hot tub was well used and everything within walking distance, especially the beach! Communication from the owners was excellent and propmt reply. Would highly recommend
A lovely house with everything you could wish for provided. Thanks for the arrival gift of wine and Welsh cakes much appreciated
Claire
A second stay at this beautiful property. Spotless on arrival and has a very well equipped kitchen. A great enclosed back garden for the dog and an amazing Hot Tub to use this was great to come home to after a long day walking the beautiful coastline of Anglesey. Cottage in a village that has a lot of local amenities and a fantastic beach within 5 minutes at the most. Beautiful sea views from the cottage. We will definitely return again.
Elaine
Fabulous property in a convenient area to explore or just stay near the stunning beach of Benlloch. The house is comfortable with a very practical layout for families to share, with bonus garden with hot tub, boot room, dishwasher and washing machine.
Darren
We had an excellent stay at Y Gogarth, a short walk to both the beach and shops, the property is modern, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The garden space is great and the hot tub is a great inclusion, perfect after a long day walking on the beach, great places to eat and drink only a short beach stroll away. Will definitely be back
We had a great stay. The house is beautiful and felt like home. The hot tub was great and so clean. We also appreciated the fully enclosed garden for our dog. A very relaxing week.
Some of the floorboards need a little maintenance. We had some problems with the downstairs shower. Otherwise it is a lovely property and we had a great holiday.
Anthony
Excellent and clean accomodation right near the centre of Benllech. The house was even bigger than we had imagined from the photographs. The hot tub was huge and unlike some other ones we've used, you could control the temperature. The kitchen area was great and the table provided a great place to relax and while away the hours. The views from the property are amazing out to see and it was wonderful to see the boats in the bay. Communication from the host was spot on and they were able to respond to any queries quickly. Also a special thanks to the hosts for posting my children's iPad back to me, thanks again for a wonderful stay.
Justine
Had a lovely time in Anglesey, house was spotless and well equipped. Well located for walks on the beach and exploring Benllech. House was lovely and warm and great to have extras like logs for the fires and Netflix included too.
Alison
Very comfortable and clean property with everything we needed for a good holiday.
Claire
A Great property. We had a wonderful time exploring Anglesey from this beautiful house. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, owners were great and checked all was ok while we were there. Great garden, fully secure for our dog. Wood burner was lovely, a few glasses of wine enjoyed of an evening. We will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The house had beautiful views over the sea! Each room was nicely decorated, cosy and inviting. Our family and dog really enjoyed our stay. The back garden was very safe for our dog and he loved the space. We had everything we needed from soap to cleaning products to dishwasher tablets and a bottle of wine. It is a great base to see all of Anglesey and North Wales. We would highly recommend!
This is a really lovely house clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The garden was great for the family games of boules and skittles. It was lovely to have views of the sea from the windows and the garden. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach which was busy at the weekend but with space for everyone. Benllech village provided all we needed and is well placed for visiting other parts of the island. We will be back.
Great stay with fabulous views! Highly recommend .
Great property, beautifully maintained. Perfectly equipped for our little ones and the garden was ideal for letting them roam around without too much supervision ages 2&4. Very convenient for access to the beach. Excellent communication with the owners.
